• Do not use charger with damaged cord or plug. If vacuum or charger is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center for inspection. Call 1-800-321-1134 for the nearest service center.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never carry the charger by the cord or yank to disconnect from an outlet; instead grasp the charger and pull to disconnect. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. Do not pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not close door on the charger cord.
• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• This product includes rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries. Do not incinerate batteries or expose to high temperatures, as they may explode.
• Unplug the charger from the outlet before any routine cleaning or maintenance.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes.
• Do not use the vacuum cleaner without filter in place.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
• Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If the liquid, which is
20-35% solution of potassium hydroxide, gets on the skin (1) wash quickly with soap and water or (2) neutralize with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes. Seek medical attention.
• Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.
• Store the vacuum cleaner indoors. Put the vacuum cleaner away after use to prevent tripping accidents.

Line up nozzle with main body and firmly push nozzle onto body of unit until nozzle locks into place.
NOTE: To remove, push release button and pull the nozzle away from the body of the unit.
Flip handle up until it locks into place (Diagram 2).
NOTE:
For storage purposes, the handle can fold down again.
Push the handle release button and fold handle away to the back of the unit (Diagram 2a).
CHARGING

Connect wall charger to the outlet.
Place cleaner on charging base. The indicator light will come on to indicate that the appliance is charging. Unit will be charged in 6 hours. The light will shut off when the unit is fully charged.
TIP: Keep cleaner charging base near an outlet where the cleaner can be conveniently charged.
NOTE: Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.
IMPORTANT: CHARGE 6 HOURS BEFORE FIRST USE.
• Power switch must be in the OFF position.
• Keep the charger plugged into a standard outlet at all times. It is normal for the charger to become warm to the touch when charging.
• If the operating time gets shorter after repeated use, let the unit run until it stops running. Recharge for 6 hours and repeat monthly for best results.
• Charging light turns off when Stick Vac is fully charged.

Remove dust cup.
Depress the dirt cup release button located on the bottom of the dirt cup and tip away from the body of the unit.
Remove the filter assembly. Grasp the tab (Diagram
2a) on the filter assembly and pull out of the dirt cup.
Separate the filter from the filter screen. Clean debris from both the filter and filter screen by tapping them lightly on the side of the wastebasket.

Empty dirt cup contents into wastebasket. For best results, shake and lightly tap filter and filter screen against wastebasket to remove remaining dirt.

To preserve natural resources, please recycle or dispose of expired battery pack properly.

LIMITED WARRANTY
To the consumer, Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. warrants this vacuum cleaner to be free of defects in material or workmanship commencing upon the date of the original purchase. Refer to your vacuum cleaner carton for the length of warranty and save your original sales receipt to validate start of warranty period.
If the vacuum cleaner should become defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace any defective parts free of charge. The complete machine must be delivered prepaid to any ROYAL Authorized Sales & Warranty Service Station.
Please include complete description of the problem, day of purchase, copy of original sales receipt and your name, address and telephone number. If you are not near a Warranty Station, call the factory for assistance at USA:

The warranty does not include unusual wear, damage resulting from accident or unreasonable use of the vacuum cleaner.
This warranty does not cover belts, brushes, bags, filters, bulbs or fan damage. This warranty does not cover unauthorized repairs. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights. (Other rights may vary from state to state in the USA).

• Des fuites de piles peuvent se produire dans des conditions extrêmes. Si le liquide, composé d’une solution de 20-35 % d'hydroxyde de potassium, entre en contact avec la peau (1), lavez immédiatement la région touchée avec du savon et de l’eau ou (2) neutralisez-le avec un acide doux comme du jus de citron ou du vinaigre. Si le liquide entre en contact avec les yeux, rincez-les immédiatement à l’eau pendant au moins
10 minutes. Consultez ensuite un médecin.
• Pour recharger l’appareil, utilisez uniquement les chargeurs fournis par le fabricant.
• Rangez l’aspirateur à l’intérieur. Rangez l’aspirateur après son utilisation pour ne pas trébucher dessus.

Alignez le suceur sur la partie principale et appuyez fermement sur le suceur jusqu’à ce qu’il s’enclenche.
REMARQUE : Pour retirer le suceur, appuyez sur le bouton de dégagement et dégagez-le de la partie principale de l’appareil.
Mettez la poignée vers le haut jusqu’à l’enclenchement.

REMARQUE : Si vous souhaitez ranger l’appareil, la poignée peut se replier. Appuyez sur le bouton de dégagement et repliez la poignée vers l’arrière de l’appareil

Connectez le chargeur mural à la prise de courant.
Placez l’aspirateur sur la base de chargement. Le voyant lumineux s’allume pour indiquer que l’appareil se charge. Le chargement de l'unité mettra de 6 heures. L'indicateur lumineux s'éteint quand l'unité est complètement chargée.
CONSEIL : Placez la base de chargement près d’une prise qui permet de charger facilement l’aspirateur.
