Coopers of Stortford G509 Instructions For Use
Coopers of Stortford G509 is an electric flying insect killer designed to protect an area of up to 40 square meters from mosquitoes and other flying insects. It features a 2800V grid voltage and a power consumption of 20W. The device is equipped with two 10W bulbs that are not replaceable. For safety, it has an amperometer of ≥150mA and a protective net that can be discharged by unscrewing both top corners. The hanging clip can be attached to the hook on the top of the unit for easy placement.

Do not touch the inner net and lamp directly.

Do not turn the power on unless this appliance is properly assembled.

It is normal to hear crackling or zapping sound when a mosquito or a flying insect has touched the tube.

Always attach plug to unit first, then plug cord in the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off” then remove plug from wall outlet.

DO NOT PLACE UNDER OR NEAR FLAMMABLE MATERIALS SUCH AS CURTAINS, DRAPERIES, SHELVES,
LOOSE WALL PAPER, ETC.-
ALLOW THE ITEM TO COOL THOROUGHLY BEFORE PUTTING ON OR TAKING OFF PARTS.
How to clean
Step 1: Switch off and make sure the plug is detached from any power source.
Step 2: Discharge the protective net by unscrewing both top corners.
Step 3: Remove and clean the tray.
Step 4: Push down and clean the protective net.
Step 5: Open the protective net from the back side.
After cleaning, please reverse steps.
How to attach the hanging clip
The hanging clip can be attached to the hook on the top of the unit – see photo on the left.

PLUG WIRING (UK & IRELAND)
This appliance is fitted with a BS 1363 13-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 13-amps should be used. If there is a fuse cover fitted, this cover must be re-fitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged the plug must not be used. Spare fuse holders and fuses are available from electrical outlets. If the socket outlets in your home or office are not suitable for this product’s plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of safely. Attempts to insert the plug into the wrong socket is likely to cause electric hazard. A replacement plug should be wired according to the following instructions:
The cable
A mains electricity cable contains two or three inner wires. Each has a core of copper and an outer layer of flexible plastic. This product is double insulated; the wires in the cord set are colour coded in the following way:

Double insulated appliances do not need the green & yellow Earth wire.
They may only have the Brown and Blue wires.
DISPOSAL
