Apache Labs ANAN 10E HF Transceiver Users Guide

The ANAN-10E is a modern direct-down-conversion SDR transceiver operating on a 100Mbps Ethernet interface. It can be used with different PC SDR programs, including Windows, Linux, MacOS/X, Android, and other operating systems. The ANAN-10E has a proud heritage from the TAPR Hermes Transceiver introduced in 2012, and was cooperatively designed by the OpenHPSDR Team and Apache Labs. Future ANAN firmware updates can be easily installed via the Transceiver standard Ethernet connection, eliminating the need for special mechanical or programming adapters.

Frequently asked questions

You'll need an Intel i3, 2.8Ghz or better processor, 4GB Ram or more, a 1280x1024 display screen resolution, and Windows XP or newer operating system. You'll also need a Full Duplex Ethernet NIC card capable of 1000 baseT/Gigabit Ethernet and a CAT5 or CAT6 Ethernet patch cable to connect the ANAN to your network

The ANAN-10E supports multiple antenna connections, including resonant 50 ohm HF antennas. You can connect three different antennas and configure them to be used for transmitting or receiving on specific bands.

The recommended software requirements include Windows XP or later, Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework or later, and the OpenHPSDR PowerSDR software.

Connect the ANAN-10E to your computer using a CAT 5 Ethernet cable. You can connect it directly to your computer's Ethernet port or to a suitable Ethernet router or switch. Ensure your switch or router is capable of operating in full duplex mode at 1000 baseT (Gigabit).

The ANAN-10E does not have a built-in antenna tuner. You may need to use an external antenna tuner to optimize antenna SWR and performance.
