Safety Advice in connection with pitching a Dancover tent
02 -0 9 -20 20
In connection with your purchase of a Dancover tent, we would like to draw your attention to some of the safety advice we recommend when using our tents, marquees, and pop-up gazebos.
Whether you have purchased a marquee or one of our FleXtents® pop-up gazebos, it is very important that you secure the light and flexible structures in case of bad weather like wind and rain. Most of our customers have also ordered one or two of our Safety Packs containing storm straps and ground pegs, which together will hold the tent and prevent an accident.
Storm straps must be secured to the frame of the tent
It is important that you fasten the storm straps onto the frame of the tents - no matter if it is a marquee or a FleXtents® pop-up gazebo. Our gazebos have metal rings at the corners of the roof cover but they are
NOT meant for securing the tent!
This is how you secure a FleXtents® pop-up gazebo:
1
Do not try to secure your tent by using the metal rings at the corners of the roof cover:

This is how to secure your marquees:
Please pay attention to the weather conditions
Do not try to pitch the tent in extremely bad weather e.g. strong wind or heavy rain. In case of bad weather, dismantle the tent or as a minimum remove the cover.
Avoid puddles to assemble on the roof of your tent
In case of rain, there will be a risk that puddles occur on the roof of the tent and it may result in the tent collapsing. That is why it is important to keep the roof cover free of water. Make sure that the roof cover is taught at all times and continuously remove any water assembling on the roof cover of the tent.
Make straps and more visible to avoid accidents
Furthermore, we recommend that you make storm straps and more as visible as possible to avoid children or adults walking into them or fall over them as they often will be fastened into the ground some distance away from the tent itself. Tie some pieces of bright coloured fabric or similar to the straps to avoid accidents.
When you place a tent on asphalt, tarmac, flagstones, or some other hard surface, we recommend that you fasten the storm straps to a building, a sturdy fence, or similar.

We hope that you will enjoy your tent.
Best wishes

Condensation
Note: Temperature changes and moisture in the air can cause dew or condensation to appear outside and inside a marquee. This is normal and does not mean the marquee is leaking.
