The Ophthalmic camera Smartscope PRO and FA are medical digital cameras that are used with dedicated optics lens intended to take images of the eye fundus and surface of the eye. The Smartscope PRO is intended to capture digital images and video of the fundus of the human eye, while the Smartscope FA is intended to capture digital images of the fundus angiograms of the human eye. Both devices have features like autofocus capabilities, brightness adjustments, internal fixation targets for the patient to fixate at while imaging, and different capture modes that allow you to take still images and videos. The Smartscope PRO and FA also have a dedicated cradle for charging and image transfer.

The Smartscope PRO is intended to capture digital images and video of the fundus of the human eye, while the Smartscope FA is intended to capture digital images of the fundus angiograms of the human eye.

Use the left and right arrow keys to adjust the capture light brightness. Icon above left soft key must be selected (lighter color) to change brightness.

The middle fixation target is lit when pressing the left soft key and it by default provides a macula centred image. To change the fixation target press the Left Soft Key and use arrow keys to navigate between the 9 targets as shown in the graphics in the lower left corner of the display. If fixation target is turned off ask the patient to look at a target in a wall 2-3 meters behind the operator.
