Frequently asked questions

The Responsible Party is the party or parties responsible for the compliance of terminal equipment or protective circuitry with the applicable rules and regulations in [47CFR Part 68] and with the technical criteria published by ACTA.

The two methods for achieving TTE approval are the Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) method and the Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) certification method.

ACTA is the Administrative Council for Terminal Attachment. It manages approval of applicable technical criteria industry standards and manages a public database of approved equipment. Responsible parties must file their SDoC or TCB certificates with ACTA.
