Warnings
The following warnings are for the setup, use, grounding, maintenance, and repair of this equipment. The exclamation point symbol alerts you to a general warning and the hazard symbol refers to procedure-specific risk. Refer back
to these warnings. Additional, product-specific warnings may be found throughout the body of this manual where
applicable.
WARNING
WARNING
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD
When flammable fluids are present in the work area, such as gasoline and windshield wiper fluid, be
aware that flammable fumes can ignite or explode. To help prevent fire and explosion:
• Use equipment only in well ventilated area.
• Eliminate all ignition sources, such as cigarettes and portable electric lamps.
• Keep work area free of debris, including rags and spilled or open containers of solvent and gasoline.
• Do not plug or unplug power cords or turn lights on or off when flammable fumes are present.
• Ground all equipment in the work area.
• Use only grounded hoses.
• If there is static sparking or you feel a shock, stop operation immediately. Do not use equipment until
you identify and correct the problem.
• Keep a working fire extinguisher in the work area.
EQUIPMENT MISUSE HAZARD
Misuse can cause death or serious injury.
• Do not operate the unit when fatigued or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• Do not exceed the maximum working pressure or temperature rating of the lowest rated system
component. See Technical Data in all equipment manuals.
• Use fluids and solvents that are compatible with equipment wetted parts. See Technical Data in all
equipment manuals. Read fluid and solvent manufacturer’s warnings. For complete information about
your material, request MSDS from distributor or retailer.
• Do not leave the work area while equipment is energized or under pressure. Turn off all equipment and
follow the Pressure Relief Procedure when equipment is not in use.
• Check equipment daily. Repair or replace worn or damaged parts immediately with genuine
manufacturer’s replacement parts only.
• Do not alter or modify equipment.
• Use equipment only for its intended purpose. Call your distributor for information.
• Route hoses and cables away from traffic areas, sharp edges, moving parts, and hot surfaces.
• Do not kink or over bend hoses or use hoses to pull equipment.
• Keep children and animals away from work area.
• Comply with all applicable safety regulations.

Warnings
SKIN INJECTION HAZARD
High-pressure fluid from dispensing device, hose leaks, or ruptured components will pierce skin. This may
look like just a cut, but it is a serious injury that can result in amputation. Get immediate surgical
treatment.
• Engage trigger lock when not dispensing.
• Do not point dispensing device at anyone or at any part of the body.
• Do not put your hand over the fluid outlet.
• Do not stop or deflect leaks with your hand, body, glove, or rag.
• Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure when you stop dispensing and before cleaning, checking, or
servicing equipment.
• Tighten all fluid connections before operating the equipment.
• Check hoses and couplings daily. Replace worn or damaged parts immediately.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
You must wear appropriate protective equipment when operating, servicing, or when in the operating area
of the equipment to help protect you from serious injury, including eye injury, hearing loss, inhalation of
toxic fumes, and burns. This equipment includes but is not limited to:
• Protective eyewear, and hearing protection.
• Respirators, protective clothing, and gloves as recommended by the fluid and solvent manufacturer.

Installation
Installation
Grounding
The equipment must be grounded.
To reduce the risk of static sparking, ground all system
components per local and national electrical codes. See
the user manuals for the pump and other system components to ground the following:
Pump: Follow manufacturer’s recommendations.
Air and fluid hoses: Only use grounded hoses.
Air compressor: Follow manufacturer’s recommendations.
Fluid supply container: Follow local code.
To maintain grounding continuity when flushing or
relieving pressure: hold metal part of the dispense
valve firmly to the side of a grounded metal pail, then
trigger the valve.
Pressure Relief Procedure
The equipment stays pressurized until pressure is
relieved. To reduce the risk of serious injury from
pressurized fluid, accidental spray from the
dispenser or splashing fluid, follow the Pressure
Relief Procedure whenever you:
• Are instructed to relieve pressure.
• Stop dispensing.
• Check, clean or service any system equipment.
• Install or clean fluid nozzles.
1. Turn off power supply to pump.
2. Trigger the valve into a waste container to relieve
pressure.
3. Open any bleed-type master air valves and fluid
drain valves in the system.
4. Leave drain valves open until you have completed
repairs and are ready to pressurize system.
NOTE:
Before you check or repair the meter, be sure all other
valves, controls and the pump are operating properly.
Factory Settings
The meter is factory calibrated for water and the default
unit of measurement is quarts. For other fluids and different units of measurements, see Changing Measurement Units on page 7 and Recalibrating the Meter on
page 9.

Battery Replacement
Graco recommends using AA Alkaline batteries such as
Duracell®, Energizer®, Eveready®, and En22®. Properly
handle and dispose of the batteries.
3. Use your fingers to pull battery cover (16) out of
meter housing (1). Be careful not to lose the gasket
(21). Remove batteries (5).
Unless otherwise indicated, refer to FIG. 13 for reference numbers used in the following instructions.
1
17
5
Sparking can occur when changing the battery pack.
Only replace the battery pack in a non-hazardous location, away from flammable fluids or fumes.
21
16
1. Relieve pressure, page 6.
2. Loosen and remove screw, (17) holding battery
cover (16) in meter housing (1).
HINT: To initially push the battery cover out of the housing, when screw (17) is loosened sufficiently [almost disconnected from the battery cover (16)], use the
screwdriver to push the screw-head back into the meter
housing as far as it will go. This will push the cover out of
the housing enough to grasp it with your fingers to
remove it from the housing.

4. Install new batteries (5) in battery cover (16). Note
location of positive (+) and negative (-) polarity indicated on the cover (16) to ensure proper battery
installation.
NOTICE
To ensure correct meter operation, always replace old
batteries with two NEW AA batteries. Do not combine
old and new batteries.
FIG. 14
5. Install battery cover (16) in meter housing (1).
Replace screw (17). Make sure gasket (21) is in
place between housing and cover (see FIG. 13). Use
a screwdriver to hand tighten screw (17).
