Frame
Components
Here are the components of the front frame: two glass panels, top and bottom tracks, two panel stiles, two seals, eight one-inch long screws, eight door stoppers, and four panel clips
3
Door Rollers
• There two types of door rollers: rollers with screw adjustments are for the top track, rollers with springs are for the bottom track.
4
Flatten right side seal
• To make this installation easy, let’s use plyers to flatten the seals, parts #28. You can run plyers from one end to the other or pull the seals through plyers.
5
Flatten left seal
• To make this installation easy, let’s use plyers to flatten the seals, parts #28. You can run plyers from one end to the other or pull the seals through plyers.
6
Pull seal through pliers
• Hold pliers tight to one of legs of the seal, then pull the seal through the pliers such that the whole leg gets flattened. Repeat for the other leg.
7
Apply the seals to panels
• Apply seals to a long side of the panel. Make sure seals are pressed down all the way.
8
Make sure seals are pressed down all the way
Run fingers along the seals to make sure that the seals are all the way in.
9
Bottom track cross section
•
Both tracks are the same.
However, we need to place them in a correct way. The track’s flat edge is on top for the top track. The flat edge is on the bottom for the bottom track.
10
How rollers placed inside the bottom track
•
Bottom track uses rollers with springs. The rollers are fit into the top groove of the bottom track, which are pushed up by the springs.
11
Top track cross section
• Both tracks are the same.
However, we need to place them in a correct way. The track’s flat edge is on top for the top track. The flat edge is on the bottom for the bottom track.
12
How rollers placed inside the top track
• Top track uses rollers with screws. The rollers are fit into the lower groove of the top track, which are hanging by the weight of the door.
Screws are for the door height adjustments.
13
Attach Stile to
Front Panel
Align up the groove with the panel, then tap in with a rubber mallet
14
Attach Stile to
Front Panel
Use a rubber mallet to tap the stile against the panel
15
Attach Stile to
Front Panel
• Make sure the panel goes all the way into the groove in the stile. Repeat this process for the other panel
16
Install tracks to panels
• Now let’s connect the tracks with front panels. Just remember, flat edges of tracks are always the outside edge of the whole front frame. Place top of the glass panel on the ledge of the track.
17
Install tracks to panels
Use 1” long (or longer) #6 metal screws to attach
18
Install tracks to panels
• Let screws go through pre-drilled holes on stile. The tips of the screws go into the screw holes in the track. Make a couple of turns to let screws stay in place.
19
Install tracks to panels
• You can use hand or power driver to tighten the screws.
Tighten them alternatively so that they go in evenly
20

Tighten both screws
21
Install tracks to panels
Make sure the connection between tracks and stiles are solid and tight.
22
Install tracks to panels
• We now ready to assemble the other track to the stile.
However, we do notice a small gap between the glass panel and track. We need to close this gap. Use a rubber mallet to tap the end of stile while a person holding the other end of the panel.
23
Install tracks to panels
• After a few tapping, the gap is closed. We now ready to install the other track at the other end of this panel.
24
Install tracks to panels
• We will need to repeat this same track-to-panel installation on the other three corners.
• Let’s finish a few other things on this very first corner.
Let’s install the panel clips
25
Install tracks to panels
• Place panel clip onto the track ledge and in contact with glass panel as shown by this picture. Use 1/16” drill bit to drill a pilot hole on the first layer of the track. Do NOT drill both layers!!!

Install tracks to panels
• For easy installation of the second panel, use a box to raise up the already attached panel. In this way, the curved tracks will lay flat onto the surface of the worktable.
