The City 3 controller must be placed within 3 or 4 meters from the bollard. The driver of the stopped vehicle must see the bollard(s) when using a badge. The vehicle must be on the security loops during this operation.

Connect the cable from the bollard to the terminal strip of the PLC on the City 3. Ensure the 5 conductors have been picked out during the installation of the automatic retractable bollard. Connect the solenoid conductors to terminals 10 and 11 on the PLC. Connect the lower limit switch to terminals 26 and 28, and the optional upper limit switch to terminal 22.

Switch on the compressor and check that the bollard rises. Place a vehicle on the safety loop and present a valid badge to the reader. The bollard should descend and then rise again when the vehicle is removed from the loop.
