Connect the NMEA Output 1 from the AIT3000 Nucleus to a free NMEA Input on the plotter. Consult the instruction manual for your chart plotter to understand how to configure the baud rate to 38,400 baud.

You can connect the AIT3000 Nucleus to your PC via a USB interface. However, we recommend that you use our NMEA to USB adaptor cable to protect the AIT3000 from voltage differences, noise, and electrical spikes that can occur in marine installations.

The AIT3000 Nucleus is configured by connecting to a PC or Mac running the ‘proAIS2’ configuration tool supplied. Insert the supplied Digital Yacht Software CD-ROM and run the Setup.Exe program located in the “proAIS2 for AIT3000” folder for Windows PCs. Install the “proAIS2.dmg” located in the “proAIS2 for AIT3000\Mac OSX” folder for Macs. Plug in the AIT3000 USB cable in to your computer and then launch proAIS2. Select the COM port that the AIT3000 has been allocated by Windows or OSX. Click the ‘Connect’ button.
