Vertical Auto-Swing

(up and down)

Vertical Auto-Swing (up and down) automatically moves the flaps up and down to distribute air across a room. When the air conditioner is turned off, the flaps shut automatically so that dust can not enter.

3D Airflow

3D Airflow combines Vertical and Horizontal Auto-Swing to reduce indoor temperature fluctuation. This function circulates air to every part of a room for uniform cooling of even large spaces. To start 3D Airflow, push both the Vertical and Horizontal Auto-Swing buttons. The flaps and louvers swing in turn. This function is available for 5.0 and 6.0 kW models.

New Powerful Operation boosts airflow to maximum volume for a 20 minute period. This is convenient when you want to quickly adjust the indoor temperature to the set temperature.

After this, the unit automatically returns to its previous settings.

Power-Airflow Dual Flaps

Power-Airflow Dual Flaps flatten out during cooling operation to deliver air to every part of a room. Choosing the low angle sends air right to the corners, while choosing the high angle spreads air around the centre.

When you choose the low angle, cool air slides off to reach the corners of the room.

Wide-Angle Louvers

Wide-Angle Louvers provide wide airflow coverage for effective operation no matter where the indoor unit is placed in a room.

The louvers can be adjusted to deliver cool air to the corners of a room either by hand or using the wireless remote controller. The remote controller can be used to adjust the 5.0 and 6.0 kW models.

The louvers cover even a spacious room.

The angles of the louvers can be adjusted according to where people are in the room.

If the indoor unit is not positioned in the centre of the wall, the louvers can also be adjusted to the left or right.

Photocatalytic air purifying is a deodorising and antibacterial technology. Daikin was the first company 1 to apply titanium apatite photocatalyst to the air-purifying filters used in residential-use air purifiers. Daikin’s success has led manufacturers in various industries to adopt the technology for antibacterial products.

Titanium apatite is an advanced photocatalytic material with great adsorption power. While a filter’s micron-level fibres trap dust, this photocatalyst effectively adsorbs and decomposes odours and bacteria. The photocatalyst is activated simply by exposure to light. The filter delivers consistent performance for approximately three years if it is washed with water once every six months.

Deodorising Function

Air-Purifying Filter with Photocatalytic Deodorising Function 2 is able to trap microscopic particles and even remove bacteria. This filter features a large active surface area that effectively cleans the high volumes of air required to air-condition living rooms. The filter delivers consistent performance for approximately three years if periodic maintenance is performed. This function is available for 5.0 kW model.

Notes: 1. This practical application of titanium apatite was the first in the world. As of September 2003, released at the 3rd International Workshop on the Utilization and Commercialization of Photocatalytic Systems, Coatings for Clean Surfaces, Water and Air Purification.

2. This filter is not a medical device. Benefits such as the adsorption and decomposition of bacteria are only effective for substances that are collected on and in direct contact with the filter.

24 Hour On/Off Timer

This timer can start or stop the air conditioner within a 24 hour period. It can be preset in 10 minute steps by pressing the On/Off Timer button on the wireless remote controller. The On Timer and Off Timer can be used in combination.

Auto-Restart after Power Failure

The air conditioner memorises the settings for operation mode (cooling, dry and fan only), airflow, temperature, etc., and automatically returns to them when power is restored after a power failure.

Self-Diagnosis with Digital Display
