They can trigger false alarms if the installation site has been chosen unfavourably. Additional information S1 Scan the QR code or follow the link. ap LED Prog E pro Ø x. LED Prog C D 1 S1 HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR ARC FLASH Safe electrical installation must be carried out only by skilled professionals. Skilled professionals must prove profound knowledge in the following areas: • Connecting to installation networks • Connecting several electrical devices • Laying electric cables • Connecting and establishing KNX networks • Safety standards, local wiring rules and regulations. Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury. 1 2 3 9m The detailed description of the Presence detector DI and other useful information on ETS programming are available online. Getting to know the device 5 - 6 mm 30 - 35 mm S2 1 Press the programming button The programming LED lights up. 2 Load the individual address and application into the device from the ETS. The programming LED goes out. The device is ready for operation. Mounting and wiring WARNING RISK OF DEATH FROM ELECTRICAL SHOCK All inputs must be connected only to double or reinforced insulated and earth-free contacts (SELV, at least double or reinforced insulation from mains). Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious injury. Flush mounting with spring clips in false ceilings 1 Drill a hole with a diameter of 68 mm on the ceiling. 2 Fix the lateral parts to the detector with 2 nondropping screws. 9 Wire the device according to the wiring diagram and put it into operation. The walk test is used to check and adjust the detection coverage when installing the sensor. • AUTO mode or SEMI AUTO mode Elements S1 Putting into operation Walk test Note: The specified ranges refer to average conditions for the recommended installation height and are therefore guide values. The range and sensitivity may vary with temperature fluctuations. - + • Install the detector sideways to the direction of movement. • 2 input channels that can connect to 2 separate push-buttons for lighting On / Off or dimming control. • With red LED indicator for indication of movement detection. KNX • Detection range: approx. Ø 9 m The presence detector DI (referred to below as detector) is a KNX presence detector for false ceiling mounting. The detector is used to control a programmed data telegram that triggers max. 2 lighting channels when movement is detected. The conditions of presence detection can be programmed according to the occupancy and the ambient brightness. • Detection range can be extended by connecting secondary sensors to a primary sensor. Ø 68 mm Selecting the installation site Note: To avoid unwanted load switching, make sure that light and heat are not reflected onto the detector. A B C D E Input S2, push-button Input S1, push-button Bus terminal Programming button Programming LED 3 Raise the 2 spring clips and insert the detector into the ceiling. 1 In the ETS set the device function to Primary. 2 Set the device function to Test mode. Note: It takes about 60 sec for the sensor to warm up. During the walk test, be aware of the direction of movement because of the sensitivity of the sensor: – More sensitive across the detection range – Less sensitive directly towards the sensor With each detected movement, the LED indicator of the sensor and the load switch on for 3 sec and switch off for 2 sec before the next trigger. 3 In the ETS set the device function back to Auto mode or Semi auto mode after the walk test is done. The sensor LED indicator will stay ON during the warm up period. JYT54997-01 04/22 en Usage of lens shield Dimension Undesired detection areas can be shielded off by fixing the enclosed lens shield onto the lens. Trim the lens shield with scissors either horizontally or vertically until the desired detection area is obtained. Troubleshooting Unit is not function at all / Lights don’t turn on – Check wiring to make sure KNX voltage is correctly applied to the unit. – Check the lamp and the wiring of the load. – Check if the ambient light control is set to the desired level. UK Representative Schneider Electric Limited Stafford Park 5 Telford, TF3 3 BL, UK Schneider Electric Industries SAS If you have technical questions, please contact the Customer Care Centre in your country. se.com/contact Detector detects motion, light is not switched on – Check if lamps are broken. – Check if lamps are tight in lampholders. Lights go on and off quickly – Check that light and heat are not reflected onto the detector. Check for white or reflective surfaces that could cause the problem. – Note the detector is more sensitive in cold weather. – Check that the sensor is not installed near an air conditioner. 66.1 mm 74.1 mm 108.0 mm Lights stay on – Set the time to a minimum and check that the unit is firmly attached to a fixed object with no moving objects in the field of view. – Check that the detector is not activated by moving heat sources eg. heating outlets. Cleaning – Clean the lens of the detector and the outer casing with a damp cloth. 99.2 mm Technical data Supply voltage: Bus current: Number of channels: Binary inputs: Mounting height: Detection range: Ambient temperature: Storage temperature: Transport temperature: Relative humidity: Protection type: Protection class: Function modes: Sensitivity: Light sensor: Timer adjustment: KNX bus voltage approx. 10 mA 2 2 2 m ... 3 m (optimal 2.5 m) 360°, Ø 9 m at 2.5 m mounting height and 20 °C -20 °C ... +45 °C -5 °C ... +55 °C -25 °C ... +70 °C 5 % ... 95 % IP20 III (mounted as intended) Auto mode(Presence), Semi auto mode (Absence), Test mode adjustable 10 ... 2000 Lux 1 minute to 255 minutes JYT54997-01 04/22 13.3 mm
