Schneider Electric Blind actuator REG-K/4x/6 is a device that can control four blind/roller shutter drives with limit switch independently of one another. It has a bus coupler and is installed on a DIN rail, with the bus connection made via a bus connecting terminal. A data rail is not required. The actuator has a nominal voltage of DC 24 V and a nominal current of max. 12.5 mA. The motor load is 6 A, inductive cos ϕ = 0.6, and the max. switching frequency is 15 times per minute at nominal load. The device can be used at up to 2000 m above sea level (MSL) and has a max.

Blind actuator introduction

The blind actuator REG-K/4x/6 (referred to below as the actuator ) can control four blind/roller shutter drives with limit switch independently of one another.

The actuator has a bus coupler. It is installed on a DIN rail, with the bus connection made via a bus connecting terminal. A data rail is not required.

¼ WARNING

Risk of fatal injury from electrical current. The device could become damaged.

Safety clearance must be guaranteed in accordance with IEC 60664-1. There must be at least 4 mm between the individual cores of the

230 V supply cable and the KNX line.

½

CAUTION

The blind actuator can become damaged.

Connect the bus voltage first and only then the load voltage.

¼

DANGER

Risk of fatal injury from electrical current.

Voltage may be present at the outputs when the mains voltage is connected to the system.

If subjected to strong vibrations during transportation, the switch contacts might change to the enabled state.

After taking into operation, you can set the relays of the channels to the position desired simply by switching "On/Off".

3 Connect the bus voltage.

4 Wait at least 30 seconds.

After the bus voltage has been switched on, all the actuator relays are moved to a predefined position

(factory setting: "Off").

½

CAUTION

The actuator can be damaged.

Protect the switch contacts with a seriesconnected 6 A circuit breaker.

½

CAUTION

If the pause on reverse is too short, the blind motor could be damaged.

The toggle time at the factory setting is 500 ms.

A longer toggle time may be necessary for other motors. Refer to the manufacturer's specifications in the data sheet for the motor.

Putting the actuator into operation

1 Press the programming button.

The programming LED lights up.

2 Load the physical address and application into the device from the ETS.

The programming LED goes out.

The operating LED lights up: The application was loaded successfully, the device is ready for operation.

What should I do if there is a problem?

The green operational LED "RUN" is not lit.

• The bus voltage has failed.

– Check the bus voltage.

• Application was not loaded properly.

– Load it again.
