INTRODUCTION

Please read this manual before operating the powerpack as it contains important information for operation and charging.

Zartek Mobile Powerpack is a revolutionary source of power that can charge and provide power for many kinds of portable electronic equipment anywhere and anytime.

Powerpack makes an excellent substitute power back-up and supply for personal electronics by means of its wide charging compatibility with USB and DC ports. Ideal for recharging a mobile phone, two-way radio, PDA, MP3 and MP4 player, iPod, camera and other rechargeable devices that utilize a USB charging cable.

Powerpack's compact design with the latest Li-ion battery technology provides back-up power when you need it most such as when traveling, being far from your conventional charging source or just for the peace-of-mind that you are always able to charge that flat battery.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Please read and observe all warning and instructions given on this owner's manual and those marked on the unit before using. This product has been designed and manufactured to assure personal safety. Improper use can result in danger. Please observe the following procedures for installation, use and servicing.

1. Do not disassemble, break or puncture the battery.

2. Do not modify the built-in circuit in any way. Improper usage, dropping or short

circuiting of the battery may damage the battery permanently.

3. Use and store the product in normal conditions. Keep the powerpack away from

heat, fire, wet or damp places as it may cause fire or explosion (The working

temperature range: -10~~60 degree).

4. To maintain life-span, store the powerpack with sufficient charge. Capacity may

decrease if the battery is kept flat for extended periods.

5. Store the product carefully and out of reach from children.

6. Extend the retractable cable by pulling gently on both cables. Do not over pull the

cable beyond the limit.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CHARGE A DEVICE

For example: to charge a mobile phone or other electronic device

1) Connect the supplied USB/DC cable (or devices own USB cable) to the

powerpack s USB output port.

2) Press the button to select charging output on (once or three times).

3) Connect the other end of the cable to a device using the appropriate

connector. The device should indicate charging.

4) Extend the retractable cable by pulling apart both cables gently

and lock at different lengths. Release the cable by

pulling both cables slightly and closing slowly.

5) Remember to power off the powerpack

after charging is complete and

disconnect cable.

Ensure powerpack is in charging or it may not charge.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CHARGE THE POWERPACK

1). Connect the USB/mini USB cable to the powerpack's

mini USB input port using the connector supplied.

2). Connect the other end of the USB/mini USB cable to

the USB port on a computer, laptop or the AC charging

adaptor supplied with the powerpack.

3). If the AC charging adaptor is used, ensure it is

attached properly to mains power.

4). After connecting to the powerpack, the indicator light

illuminates when charging

and shows the battery level.

5). The indicator light turns off

when charging is finished.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

1) Why does the powerpack not start up normally?

The power may be used up, so recharge the powerpack. If there is a short circuit on

the output, the powerpack can protect itself, change the charging connector and try

charging again. Powerpack may need to be charged a little to go out of protection

mode.

2) What if the powerpack gets hot when charging or discharging?

When charging or discharging the powerpack may heat up slightly as energy is being

consumed, this is a normal phenomenon. The functionality will not be negatively

affected.

3) Why does the power button not work when connecting the powerpack to my device?

The powerpack could be in a protection mode. Disconnect the cable from the device,

push button on powerpack to select charging output on and reconnect device.

WARRANTY

Zartek gives a 12 month factory warranty from the date of purchase for the powerpack and standard accessories covering faults arising from normal operation. Customer damage, negligence or injury arising from improper use is not covered by this warranty.
