Introduction

WebScreenR (Web Screen Recorder) is a professional screen recording web application which allows you to record all the activities going on your screen. It not only can capture video from screen with sound, but also can edit your video. WebScreenR is ideal for use in technical support, sales and marketing, e-learning and more, offering a wide range of video creation and editing capabilities.

Easy recording accessibility for Mac and Microsoft PC.

Capture, Edit and Share your required video from anywhere.

Add image, sound and annotate to your desired videos.

Save video in WebScreenR library.

Reedit your saved video from WebScreenR library.

Prerequisites:

Java Runtime for browsers.

Internet access.

Capturing your video

1. To get started, go to www.webscreenr.com

2.

Click “Record now” button.

3. Register User Login in with your User ID and Password, click the Studio link or Click the

Record Video button from WebScreenR Library.

4. If you get the below bar at the top of your browser, click Run this time or Always run on this

site, if you plan to use WebScreenR a lot.

5. WebScreenR recorder studio page is displayed.

6. Select “Capture Screen” button.

7. If you have selected Custom Screen option you should get a box on your screen that you can adjust to fit the area you want to record. Before you start recording, look to the bottom of the box at the controls available to you. You will see a Red record button (do not click it yet), and then a microphone dropdown button. If you click this, you can choose your audio

WebScreenR User Manual source. Next to the audio button you will see a volume control. .

8. When you are ready, click the Record button to start your video. WebScreenR will count down from 3 and then start recording. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a few options while recording. You can Pause, or Stop (done). You also see the volume level and timer at the bottom. Take note that the limit on a WebScreenR video is 5 minutes for unregistered users.

9. When you are finished click the Done button, you will have a preview window come up.

Here you can watch the video by clicking the play button in the bottom left corner of the window.

Note: This WebScreenR preview screen you can save, edit and publish video.

Editing your captured video

11. Select Screenshots option and click Edit Screenshot button

12. WebScreenR Editor studio is displayed

13. Select the screenshot and click the Edit button.

14. Selected screenshot is displayed in below screen.

Note. You can Add and Delete Text, Circle, Square, Line, Image and Sound.

15. Click Save button once you have finished editing your screenshot.

16. Changed screenshot is displayed in WebScreenR Editor Studio.

17. Click Save Editing button which will take you to WebScreenR preview screen.

Using Save and Publish option

18. You can save and publish your video using Save & Publish button

19. The Save & Publish dialog is displayed

20. Then you have several options on the right side of the screen. a. You can publish to YouTube, click that link. Note: You need a Google Account to upload to YouTube i. Let it load, then fill out the form provided. Give it a title and description, then give it some tags (these are for if you want your video to be searchable.

If you don’t want that, leave this blank). Give it a category, and choose your

WebScreenR User Manual privacy setting (because “unlisted”. If you have a captions file, you can also upload that here. ii. Click “Launch web browsers” iii. When the browser opens, log into your Google account and then click

“Allow Access” iv. Click “Continue” v. Then click “Upload to YouTube” and let it load. When it finishes you can click the link provided to see the video on YouTube. b. To publish to a video file to your computer.

Saving Video in WebScreenR Library

(Note: This option is available for registered users only)

21. You can save video to WebScreenR Library click Save to Library button.

22. The Save to WebScreenR Library page is displayed

Here you create new folder using the Create new folder link.

- Note1: You cannot have empty folder name.

- Note2: You need to select a folder first and click the Create new folder link.

23. Select the folder where you want to save the file.

24. Enter file name in Enter Name text field.

25. Click the Save button

Note you will be prompt for closing the save page, click ok button. This will redirect you to

WebScreenR Preview page.

(Note: This option is available for registered users only)

26. Login to WebScreenR account.

27. WebScreenR Library is displayed.

28. Select the folder from the hierarchy where the file is located.

29. Click the file name. The select row will be displayed in sky blue color.

30. Right click on the selected row, and select Edit option.

31. Selected video is opened in WebScreenR preview page.

32. Now follow the steps 10 mentioned in the Editing your capture video session.

Working with the WebScreenR Library

You can manage your videos in your login account here. Please note that this option is available only for registered users.

Following option is available in WebScreenR Library.

Record new video

1. Click the Record Video button from WebScreenR Library or click the Studio link.

2. WebScreenR Studio is displayed.

3. Follow the steps mentioned in Capturing your Video .

Editing video in WebScreenR Studio

Follow the steps mentioned in Editing video from WebScreenR Library .

Downloading your video to desktop

1. Select the folder from the hierarchy where the file is located.

2. Click the file name. The select row will be displayed in sky blue color.

3. Right click on the selected row, and select Download option.

4. Save to system prompt is displayed; select the location where you want to save the file.

Deleting video from your folder

1. Select the folder from the hierarchy where the file is located.

2. Click the file name. The select row will be displayed in sky blue color.

3. Right click on the selected row, and select Delete option.

4. Delete prompt is displayed, select Ok button to delete the file else click close button to cancel.

Sharing your video in Facebook

1. Select the folder from the hierarchy where the file is located.

2. Click the file name. The select row will be displayed in sky blue color.

3. Right click on the selected row, and select Share in Facebook option.

4. Facebook share page is displayed, login with your Facebook account and click Share button.

Creating new folders

1. Select the folder from the hierarchy.

2. Right click on the selected folder, and select Create option.

3. Enter the folder and click ok button.

Deleting folder

1. Select the folder from the hierarchy.

2. Right click on the selected folder, and select Delete option.

3. Delete prompt is displayed, select Ok button to delete the file else click close button to cancel.

Working with the WebScreenR Editor Studio

Open the video in WebScreenR Studio from WebScreenR preview screen window.

1. Select Screenshots option and click Edit Screenshot button.

2. WebScreenR Editor studio is displayed.

3. You can click the Delete button, if you wish to delete unused screenshot.

To annotate your screenshots

4. Select the screenshot and click the Edit button.

5. Selected screenshot is displayed in below screen.

6. Working with annotation options:

Add and Remove Text

To add text in your screenshot, click Add Text button.

A default text label "Your text here" is displayed.

Click Set Text button to change the text content.

You can change the text font using the Set Font button.

To move the text around, select the label using mouse.

You can delete the Text, using Remove Annotation button.

Add and Remove Circle

To add circle in your screenshot, click Add Circle button.

A default size circle is displayed.

To change the circle size, select the label using mouse.

You can delete the Circle, using Remove Annotation button.

Add and Remove Square

To add circle in your screenshot, click Add Square button.

A default size square is displayed.

To change the square size, select the label using mouse.

You can delete the Square, using Remove Annotation button.

Add and Remove Line

To add circle in your screenshot, click Add Line button.

A default size Line is displayed.

To change the Line size, select the label using mouse.

You add arrow to line using the Arrow Head checkbox option.

You can also change the thickness of the line using the Set Line Width button.

You can delete the Line, using Remove Annotation button.

Add and Remove Image - this option is available for registered users only.

To add image in your screenshot, click Add Image button.

Click Set Image button.

Select the image from your machine.

Selected image is displayed in the screenshot

You can delete the image, using Remove Annotation button.

Add Sound- this option is available for registered users only.

To add sound in your screenshot, click Add Sound button.

Select the sound file from your machine.

Selected sound is associated with the screenshot.

7. Click Save button once you have finished editing your screenshot.

8. Changed screenshot is displayed in WebScreenR Editor Studio.

9. Click Save Editing button which will take you to WebScreenR preview screen.

10. Save or publish your video using Save & Publish button before closing the website.

Note: If the annotated video is not saved before closing the website all the changed made are lost.

Why I am not able to open WebScreenR URL?
