Attaching the Hose Clip
1. Place the hose clip into the siot in
the back of the vacuum. (Fig. 1)
2. Using a Philips screwdriver and the
screw provided, attach the hose clip
to the vacuum. (Fig. 2)

Inserting the Telescopic Wand
into the Main Unit -
1. Insert the te telescopic wandinto
the hole on the top of the unit.
Make sure that the telescopic
tube fits correctly into the
opening.

Changing the Dust Bag
1. Unplug power cord from wall outlet.
2. Remove the front panel of the unit.
(Fig. 10)
3. Remove the old dust bag by holding
liffing the dust bag locking tab then
pull the cardboard tab towards
you. (Fig. 8) Remove carefully to
avoid dust/dirt spilling from dust
hag.

4. Take a new dust bag and while
holding the cardboard tab push the
bag over the opening of the dirt
discharge tube until it is seated
against the rear of the enclosure.
(Fig. 9).
5. Make sure that the entire bag is
correctly inserted inside the housing,
before replacing the front panel.
Always check the pre-motor and
post motor filter every time you
change the dust bag.

8. Once the new dust bag is in place
replace the front panel by aligning
the bottom locking tabs with the siots
in the body, close cover slowly
allowing the front panel to snap in
place. The latch will self lock.
Note: If the bag is not inserted properly
or is not installed in the unit the front
panel will not close properly.
Cleaning the Post Motor Filter

a motor protective thermostat. If for

should overheat, the thermostat will |

Winding & Unwinding the
Power Cord
This vacuum cleaner
is equipped with a
convenient cord
storage feature. The
power cord winds
around the two cord
holders at the side
of the unit. The top
cord holder has a
quick cord release-
feature. Turn the
cord hook to the left
or the right to
remove the power
cord. {Fig. 14}

How to Adjust for Carpet Height
WARNING: To avoid injury, keep
loose clothing, hair, fingers and all
other parts of body away from any
moving part (such as the beater brush).
Turn off the switch and unplug the
vacuum before adjusting the vacuum for
the carpet height.
The front of the vacuum cleaner has a
carpet adjustment knob that raises and
lowers the motorized power head to
match the type of carpet. With the
vacuum NOT connected to the electrical
outlet, set the adjustment to the lowest
setting for maximum cleaning. If the
vacuum is to difficult to push, move the
knob to the next highest setting until the
vacuum is comfortable to push. The
beater brush must reach the carpet for
effective cleaning.
Cleaning & Changing the Belt
A Warning: To reduce the risk of

Occasionally the power nozzle drive
belt will require changing, the
frequency will depend upon the amount
of use your vacuum sees.
1. Turn the vacuum "Off" and unplug
from power supply.
2. Turn the vacuum upside down on a
flat level surface.
3. Using a Philips screw driver,
remove the four (4) screws that
attach the base piate to the lower
plate. (Fig 15)

After you have removed ihe base
plate, remove the remaining five (5)
screws from the lower plate using a
Philips screw driver. (Fig. 16)
With the unit still lying down, turn
the unit over and lift the power head
cover starting from the back of the
power head. (Fig. 17)
Lower Plate
Remove the belt cover (Fig. 18, #1)
Lift the right side of the brush bar
first and then lift the left hand side.

Remove the brush bar from the
power head. (Fig. 18, #4)
Carefully remove any belt residue
that may exist in the belt area before
replacing with a new belt

motor drive shaft and then over
the agitator pulley.
. Insert the right side of the brush
bar in first by placing the end
cap down into the slot and then
do the same with the left side.
Press firmly to make sure that
each end is completely inserted,

is centered on the agitator puliey
and that the brush bar turns.
14. Replace the belt cover.
15. Replace the power head cover
and turn the unit over carefuily.
16. Replace the lower plate, screwing
in all five (5) screws.
17. Replace the lower plate.

replace the base piate with the
four (4)screws.
Changing the Headlight Bulb
Warning: To reduce the risk of

1. Turn unit “Off” and unplug from wal
outiet.
2. With a flai head screw driver,
unscrew the lens cover by the
screws located on either side of the
lens cover. (Fig. 19}
3. Lift off the head light lens.
4. Remove the light bulb by pulling it
out carefully.

6. Replace the head tight lens by
replacing screws on either side of lens
cover.

was shipped from the factory. If a minor problem cccurs, it usuaily can be solved quite

How do I clean the filters?
To remove the post motor filter, remove the front panei from the unit. Remove the post motor filter from the base, under front panel. Vigorously tap clean the post motor filler on a hard surface until no more dustis observed falling out. The post motor filter may also be washed by running it under the tap allowing the water to run on the dirty side. We recommend washing it once a month or when suction appears reduced. Always allow 24 hours for air drying before replacing into the vacuum. Underneath the bag, there is a pre-motor filter. To remove Pre-motor filter, just slide out. To clean the pre-motor filter, rinse in lukewarm water and let air dry completely for 24 hours.
What should I do if the vacuum cleaner overheats?
This unit is equipped with a motor protective thermostat. If for some reason the vacuum cleaner should overheat, the thermostat will automatically turn the unit off. Disconnect the plug from the power source. Check the source of overheating problem. If clogged hose or filter is found, unclog the hose and replace the filters. Walt at least 45 minutes before attempting to reuse the vacuum. After unit has cooled down for 45 minutes, plug in the cleaner and push the On/Off button. The vacuum should start again.
