Frequently asked questions

The UL compliance requirements for the Allegro Control Panel are described in the "UL compliance" section of the manual. The basic system includes the panel, power transformer, Dialog Telephone Interface Module (DTIM), backup battery, and a 2 kΩ EOL resistor. The system must also meet specific requirements for a Household Burglary Alarm System Unit, Household Fire Warning System, or Digital Alarm Communicator System, depending on the intended use.

To program the DTIM into the panel, remove the DTIM cover and set it aside. Install the antennas. With the system disarmed, enter program mode by pressing 8 + code. Press the down arrow twice and # twice. Locate the DTIM tamper switch and LED. Press and release the tamper switch three times, holding it down on the third press until the LED flashes three times, then release after the third flash. Immediately press two times, holding the tamper switch down on the second press until the LED flashes two times, then release after the second flash. Immediately press and hold, then wait for the panel to beep once indicating it learned (programmed) the DTIM. Release the tamper switch.

To add a device, press #. The display shows ZONE (01 to 20) – TRIP. Then, trip the sensor according to the instructions in the "Device Programming" section of the manual. The panel beeps twice to indicate the sensor was successfully learned into the panel. To override the assigned sensor number, scroll to the desired sensor number.
