Note: Revision letters (A, B, C, D etc.) after model numbers have been omitted as they do not affect the setup, operating and maintenance instructions of a particular jack unless otherwise noted.

PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
The use of portable automotive lifting devices is subject to certain hazards that cannot be prevented by mechanical means, but only by the exercise of intelligence, care, and common sense. It other than hard level surfaces, and using equipment for a purpose for which it was not designed.

WARNING
•
Inspect the jack before using. Do not use the jack if any jack component is cracked, broken or bent, shows signs of damage or excessive use, leaks hydraulic fluid, has loose or missing hardware or components, or is modified or altered in any way.
Take corrective action before using the jack again.
•
Do not use the jack beyond its rated capacity.
• Use the jack for lifting purposes only. Support the load with the appropriate means immediately after lifting and before working on the vehicle.
•
Consult the vehicle manufacturer for the proper locations of the support stands.
• Use only on a hard level surface capable of sustaining the maximum capacity of the jack and allowing the jack wheels to roll unobstructed during raising and lowering operations.
•
Make sure the setup is stable and secure before lifting.
•
•
Do not tilt the vehicle more than 15 degrees or whatever is safe when using the gripping saddle on a flat lifting surface.
Lift only on areas of the vehicle specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
•
Keep a handle length away from the jack and load during raising and lowering operations.
•
Keep entire personal body clear of pinch points when jack is operating.
•
While vehicle is on the jack, avoid excessive vehicle rocking or movement.
•
Always lower the loaded jack slowly and carefully.
• Do not drive a vehicle off the jack and do not move or dolly the vehicle while on the jack.
•
Do not use saddle adapters unless approved by Norco.
SETUP
1.
Remove the handle receiver bolt from the handle receiver.
Insert the “T” handle receiver so the “L” slotted hole in the handle aligns with the threaded bolt hole in the handle receiver. The

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Become familiar with the operation of the handle and foot pump. Pumping either one will enable the jack lift arm to be raised.
Pulling on the “T” handle and turning the handle in a clockwise direction 1/4 turn will enable the jack lift arm to be lowered.
2.
Prepare the forklift in accordance with the forklift manufacturer’s instructions concerning repair procedures. When raising a forklift make sure the forks are lowered to the ground and there is no load on the forks.
3.
The jack is designed with two lift points. The post lift point is used on applications that have a minimum of 14-1/4” ground clearance.
The scissors lift point is used for lifting forklifts and other low profile loads that have a minimum of 2-1/4” ground clearance.
4.
The scissors lift point is designed with a notch at the end of the lift arm to cradle edges or narrow parts of a forklift. The serrated saddle (included) fits in the notch at the end of the lift arm and is intended to be used for lifting flat surfaces.
5.
When using the serrated saddle do not tilt the forklift more than 15 degrees or whatever is safe. The serrated saddle must be positioned on a flat surface that is located 3” in from the side or end of the forklift.
6. IMPORTANT:
As the scissors lift point continues to raise a load, the distance from the center line of the notch or the serrated saddle and the front surface of the post lift decreases. Study the setup and make sure nothing comes in contact with the post during the lift procedure.

7. Lift only on areas of the forklift specified by the forklift manufacturer. If the forklift seems heavier at one end during the lifting procedure, lower the jack and move it a little closer to the heavy end. Repeat the procedure until you feel the lift point is balanced.
8. IMPORTANT:
When lifting forklifts less than 40” wide, do not lift the wheels off the ground at a height greater than one quarter of the distance between the centerline of the tread of one wheel to the centerline of the tread of the other wheel. Example: If the distance between the centerline of tire treads is 38”, do not raise the forklift wheels off the ground more than 9-1/2”.

Position the jack in the center of the forklift.
10.
Chock the wheels at the other end of forklift that are not being lifted.
11.
Do not lift the end of a forklift that has a sloped or rounded lift surface.
12. Never lift the two-wheeled end of a three-wheeled vehicle.
13.
IMPORTANT: THIS JACK IS DESIGNED FOR LIFTING
PURPOSES ONLY. AFTER LIFTING THE LOAD, ALWAYS USE
APPROVED VEHICLE SUPPORT STANDS WITH AN ADEQUATE
CAPACITY RATING TO SUPPORT THE LOAD BEFORE MAKING
ANY REPAIRS OR ADJUSTMENTS. VEHICLE SUPPORT
STANDS ARE INTENDED TO BE USED IN PAIRS.
14.
Do not use cribbing under the jack or on top of the post or scissors lift points. The jack must be in direct contact with the floor and the lift point in direct contact with the load.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
1.
Always store the jack in a well protected area where it will not be exposed to inclement weather, corrosive vapors, abrasive dust, or any harmful elements. The jack must be cleaned of water, snow, sand, or grit before using.
2.
The jack must be lubricated periodically in order to prevent premature wearing of parts. A general purpose grease must be applied to the front and rear axle wheels, handle base pivot and the release mechanism and all other bearing surfaces.
3. It should not be necessary to refill or top off the reservoir with hydraulic fluid unless there is an external leak. An external leak requires immediate repair which must be performed in a dirtfree environment by qualified hydraulic repair personnel who are familiar with this equipment. Norco Authorized Service Centers are recommended.
IMPORTANT: In order to prevent seal damage and jack failure, never use alcohol, hydraulic fluid, or transmission oil in the jack.
4.
Every jack owner is responsible for keeping the jack label clean and readable. Use a mild soap solution to wash external surfaces of the jack but not any moving hydraulic components. Contact
Norco Industries for a replacement label if your jack’s label is not readable.
5.
Inspect the jack before each use. Do not use the jack if any component is cracked, broken, bent, shows signs of damage, or leaks hydraulic fluid. Do not use the jack if it has loose or missing hardware, or components, or is modified in any way. Take corrective action before using the jack again.
6.
Do not attempt to make any hydraulic repairs unless you are a qualified hydraulic repair person that is familiar with this equipment.

It will be necessary to provide the Norco Authorized Service Center with a copy of the bill of sale if requesting warranty repair. If the authorized service center determines your product is eligible for warranty repair, the repair will be made at no charge and returned freight prepaid. The cost of non-warrantable service, repair, and return freight is the customer’s responsibility.
