When the unit is connected to AC power for the first time the display may blink. Battery Backup If the Backup Battery has been installed and a power failure occurs or the AC cord is accidentally disconnected, the display will not remain lit, but the current time and alarm time settings will be temporarily maintained. If the Backup Battery has not been installed or is dead, when the AC power resumes the display Will flash and you must reset the time and alarm settings. 1. Open the battery compartment cover. 2. Insert three “AAA” batteries, checking the + and — ends of the batteries. We recommend do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Battery Compartment Note: You should replace backup batteries when Battery Low Icon is lighting up. 3. Close the compartment cover. Battery Low Indicator The Battery Low Icon is located in mid left side of the display. When the icon lights up it is time to replace backup batteries. Set the @® Dimmer Switch to Hi or Low depending on the brightness in the room. Setting Clock Time and Calendar Preset Clock 1. This unit is a PRESET Clock/Radio which the clock already preset when ex-factor. What you need to do is just switch few switches to match setting to where you living. 2. Set the @ Zone Switch which located on the left side of the unit to the time zone your living area, the correct time should showing on the display. 3. Depending your living area, set the @ DST Switch which located on the left for the unit to AUTO or OFF to turn on or off the auto daylight saving time adjustment feature. 4. In case showing time/day is not correct, please follow below steps to set the clock and day. Setting the Clock Time Press and hold the Y Time Button for few seconds until the display is flashing. Press the HR/Month/Year+ Button until the current hour is display. Remember to set the correct AM or PM. A small dot in the lower right hand corner of the display is the PM indicator. 2. Press the @ MIN/Date/Year- Button until correct time is displayed. 3. Press the Y Time Button again or if no key pressed for approx. 10 seconds to exit the setting mode. Setting the Da Press and hold the @ Calendar Button for few seconds until the display is flashing and showing the year. Press the HR/Month/Year+ Button or (§ MIN/Date/Year-Button until correct year is displayed. 2. Press and hold the @ Calendar Button again then display will show month/date and flashing. Press the HR/Month/Year+ Button to adjust month, the (§ MIN/Date/Year- Button for date until correct month/date is displayed. 3. Press the @ Calendar Button again or if no key pressed for approx. 10 seconds to exit the setting mode. Alarm Operation This clock radio features two alarms that can be set and used independently. You can set both alarms to wake two people at different times, set one alarm as a back-up to the other in case you shut off the first alarm and go back to sleep, or use one alarm for weekdays and other for weekend wake up times. Note: This clock radio also features “Sure Alarm” that even power failure occurs or the AC cord is accidentally disconnected, if you had installed backup batteries, unit will change to Buzzer alarm to wake you up. Setting Alarm 1 Time Press and hold the @ Alarm-1 Button for few seconds until the display is flashing. Press the HR/Month/Year+ Button until the correct hour is display. Remember to set the correct AM or PM. A small dot in the lower right hand corner of the display is the PM indicator. 2. Press the ® MIN/Date/Year- Button until correct time is displayed. 3. Press the @ Alarm-1 Button again or if no key pressed for approx. 10 seconds to exit the setting mode. 3 © N OO To turn on the alarm, just press the @ Alarm-1 Button once. The alarm time will be display for few seconds and the Alarm-1 Icon will appear in the upper left corner of the display indicating the alarm function is on. The alarm is now set to turn on automatically at the time selected. The alarm-1 is buzzer alarm (alarm-2 is radio alarm). When alarm is sounding, press the @ Alarm-1 Button to turn off alarm. The alarm will come on again the next day at the same time. To stop the alarm from coming on the following day, press the @ Alarm-1 Button once to turn it OFF. If the alarm is not turned off after it sounds it will play for approximately 1 hour then turn off automatically. This cycle will repeat every 24 hours unless the controls are changed. Setting Alarm 2 Time 1. 2. 3. Just follow to Setting Alarm 1 Time step 1 to 4 but by replacing Alram-1 to Alarm-2. Please select the station and volume you want to hear when you wake up first. When alarm is sounding, press the @ Alarm-2 Button to turn off alarm. The alarm will come on again the next day at the same time. To stop the alarm from coming on the following day, press the @ Al arm-2 Button once to turn it OFF. Alarm-2 icon wil disappear from display. Listening / Sleep to Radio Note: Extend FM wire antenna fully for best FM reception. Rotate the unit, as required, for bes 1. 2. 3. t AM reception. Press the Q On/Sleep Button on the back of the unit to turn on the radio. Set the Q Band Switch to the right-hand side to the desired band, AM or FM. Rotate the Q Tuning Control to select a station. Press the Q On/Sleep Button again to change to sleep mode. The sleep timer will shut the radio off automatically so you can fall asleep to radio. Remains sleep time will show on the upper left-hand corner of the display. You can adjust the sleep timer from 90, 60, 30, or 15 minutes by pressing the @ On/Sleep Button repeatedly until you reach your desired time. To stop listening at anytime by pressing the @ Snooze/Off Button to turn off the unit. Snooze Operation Press the @ Snooze/Off Button after the alarm sounds, the alarm will go off and will come on again in programmed time. You may repeat this cycle several times during the 1 hours alarm cycle. Default snooze period is 9 minutes and adjustable from 1 to 30 minutes. To adjust the snooze period, press and hold the @ Snooze/Off Button for few seconds until the display is flashing and showing current snooze period. Press the @ HR/Month/Year+ Button or (Y MIN/Date/Year- Button to adjust it. Press the @ Snooze/Off Button again or if no key pressed for approx. 10 seconds to exit the setting mode. 4 A Consumer Guide to Product Safety IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS This unit has been designed and manufactured to assure your personal safety. Should service be required by reason of any defect or malfunction during the warranty period, SDI Technologies will repair or, at its discretion, replace this product without charge (except for a $3.00 charge for handling, packing, return UPS/postage, and insurance).
