Lifespan
In the unlikely event that your COLORdash™ Quad may require service, please contact CHAUVET® Technical Support.
Under normal conditions, the LED’s lifespan can be of 40,000 to 50,000 hours. High temperature, like that reached when LEDs are packed in clusters, may reduce this lifespan. To extend the LEDs lifespan expectancy, lower the operational temperature by improving ventilation and reducing the external temperature, as well as limiting the overall projection intensity.

Setup
Clamp Mounting
Procedure
Each COLORdash™ Quad has three M10 sockets, one on the back of the unit and one on each side (used for the yoke adjustment knobs). These sockets allow mounting the COLORdash™ Quad by attaching the clamp directly to the housing.
Keep in mind that this way of mounting the COLORdash™ Quad provides limited angle adjustment.

COLORdash™ Quad- Quick Start Guide 7
Setup
When mounting the COLORdash™ Quad in vertical stack fashion, always use clamps with long pan bolt to prevent the bracket flanges from interfering with the truss.
Horizontal
Stacking
When mounting the C COLORdash™ Quad in vertical stack fashion, use a safety loop for each COLORdash™ Batten unit.
You may stack horizontally up to three COLORdash™ Quad fixtures for a strip light effect, useful for runways or cycloramas.
Stacking
Procedure
1) Remove the yoke that comes with each fixture to make room for the included linking screws.
2) In the same location where the bracket attaches, you have to install the linking screws as shown below.
3) You may use the included stacking brackets for this configuration, or you could simply attach the clamps directly to each fixture as showed in the previous page.

DMX Linking
The COLORdash™ Quad can work with a DMX controller when linked using a regular DMX serial connection.
If you are not familiar with the DMX standard, please download the
COLORdash™ Quad user manual and refer to the DMX Primer and DMX
Connectivity sections in the Appendix chapter.
DMX
The COLORdash™ Quad uses a regular DMX data connection for its
Connection
**DMX mode(s) and/or personalities**. Download the COLORdash™
Quad user manual and refer to the Setup chapter to learn how to connect this fixture for DMX operation, and the Operation Instructions chapter to learn in detail how to configure this fixture for DMX operation.
Master/Slave
The COLORdash™ Quad uses the DMX data connection for its
Connection
Master/Slave mode. Download the COLORdash™ Quad user manual and refer to the Setup chapter to learn how to connect this fixture for
Master/Slave operation, and the Operation Instructions chapter to learn in detail how to configure this fixture for Master/Slave operation.
COLOR-CON
The COLORdash™ Quad can work with a COLORado™ Controller
(COLOR-CON). In this case, the linking is also through the standard DMX serial connection. Please download the COLOR-CON user manual for a detailed explanation of how to program and use it.
ID
The COLORdash™ Quad uses the ID Addressing feature to increase the

You can set the COLORdash™ Quad start address in the 001~512 DMX range. This allows for the control of up to 51 fixtures in the 10-channel
STAGE 1 personality. In addition, the ID address system allows you to assign up to 66 fixtures within the same DMX address, thus multiplying the number of fixtures you can control within a single universe. You can access the fixture’s ID address system from channel 9 when in the STAGE 1 personality.
Basic
Settings
To remain within a one-second execution time, you should program no more than 10 fixtures on ID addressing per DMX channel.
Carry out all the programming procedures indicated below from the control panel. Refer to the MODE Options page to learn how the available Mode
Options relate to each other. Download the COLORdash™ Quad user manual for more programming instructions.
