To minimize the risk of injury we urge that our clients take some basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation instructions carefully and make sure you have understood its content. Keep these operation instructions safe. Read the operating manual thoroughly before using the reciprocating saw. When working with the reciprocating saw, wear protective glasses. Proper use This product is a hand-guided power tool, which can saw various materials, due to the lifting motion of a single-sided fixed sawing blade. Tight corners and wavy lines can be sawn into thin sheets or boards. Wood, metal, plastic and other similar materials stated in the manual can be processed. In the pendulum stroke operation (optional), the saw blade oscillates back and forth, this enables the saw dust to be ejected better. Only saw blades which have been authorised by the manufacturer, as stated in the operating manual, may be used. Improper use All purposes of the device, which are not stated in the chapter “Proper use,” are regarded as a not proper use of the device. The device must not be used for the following purposes: • • sawing firewood, processing materials containing asbestos or other hazardous materials. For all material damage as well as personal injury, which occurs due to misuse, resulting from this, the operator of the device is liable. When using other/not original parts, the warranty of the device given by the manufacturer will expire. Residual risks Even when using the device properly, there is a certain residual risk, which cannot be entirely excluded. With this type and design of device, the following potential dangers can derive: • • • • • • injuries from cuts with contact with the unprotected part of the saw blade, injuries from cuts with ejected broken parts of the saw blade, thrusts with work pieces being repercussed and ejected, loss of hearing ability without a necessary hearing protection when working, electric shock with contact with electrical currents due to broken or damaged (e.g., sawn) supply cables, motor casing, emissions of harmful saw dust. Inhaling dust is a danger for the operator or by-standing people. Hold the isolated handles of the device, when carrying out work, during which the tool can hit hidden electricity lines or the own electricity cable. Contact with a live wire can put metal device parts under voltage and can lead to electric shock. © by WilTec Wildanger Technik GmbH http://www.WilTec.de http://www.aoyue.eu http://www.teichtip.de Item 61076 Page 6 06 2021-1 Other important safety notes Thoroughly read the operating manual and keep it for future reference. • • • • • • • • • • The reciprocating saw may only be connected to a domestic socket with 230–240 V tension. Never leave children unattended when handling electric devices! When children are present, you should work especially careful. Place the reciprocating saw in a safe area, out of reach of children, after finishing the work. The device and the supply line must never touch hot surfaces or open fires. Before changing the saw blade, the electricity plug needs to be disconnected. After every use, but in any case before cleaning, please unplug the electricity plug from the socket. The same applies to any form of malfunction, which might occur during operation. The device must never come into contact with water or other liquids, it may only be wiped with a dry cloth or soft brush. When working with the reciprocating saw, we recommend to wear safety glasses for safety reasons. Before connecting the device to the electricity supply, please ensure that it is switched off. Operating manual for the electric reciprocating saw Use The reciprocating saw can be used for wood, plastic, plasterboards, and metals. Ensure that the mains voltage complies with the stated voltage of the type label of the device. Changing the saw blade Before every work on the device and when changing the saw blade, turn the saw off and unplug the plug from the socket. Turn the ring (a) at the saw blade intake (6), as seen in picture 2, until the saw blade (b) can be pushed into the slot of the saw blade intake (6). Let go of the ring (a), it should go back into its starting position. If this is not the case, try to place the ring (a) back into its position. Now, check whether the saw blade stays in the intake by carefully pulling it. Turning the device on/off On: Push the switch, then the self-blocking button and release the switch. Off: Push the switch and release it again. Speed setting Preselect the rotation speed with the wheel disk: = increase speed = decrease speed The more the button is turned, the higher the rotation speed. The speed can be adjusted stepless, to the required speed. © by WilTec Wildanger Technik GmbH http://www.WilTec.de http://www.aoyue.eu http://www.teichtip.de Item 61076 Page 7 06 2021-1 Adjusting the limit stop Adjust the limit stop, to limit the cutting length and use the entire length of the saw blade economically. To adjust the limit stop, hold the reciprocating saw and position the limit stop in the required position. Always keep the limit stop pushed against the work piece. Sawing wood (Fig. H) The workpiece needs to be secured or clamped down when working on it, so that it cannot slide away. Start with a low speed and increase it to the final speed; this allows a better control over the tool. Cutting metals (Fig. I) Dependent on the used saw blade as well as the material needing to be cut, the saw can also cut various metals. The tool needs to be clamped for all work carried out, so that it cannot slide. Use a blade with fine teeth for iron metals and a coarse toothed blade for non-iron metals. Always clamp thin metal sheets between two pieces of wood. This allows for straight cuts to be made and avoids strong vibration or the material from warping. Never use force when sawing thin metal sheets. Too much force shortens the service life of the saw blade and can make the saw blade break. Note: It is recommended to use some oil or other coolants on the cutting line with the saw blade. This will make the cutting easier and protects the saw blade. When cutting aluminium, use some kerosene. Plunge cuts (only for soft materials, not metals!) (Fig. J and K) Mark the section. Place the special blade into the intake, with the teeth pointing downward and secure it. Place the saw blade with its back on the surface needing to be cut. Start with a lower stroke speed and then increase the speed, as soon as the saw engages. Push the saw blade guard firmly against the surface and turn the saw blade upward carefully. The saw blade will work through the material. Ensure, that the material is properly separated, before sawing the remaining pocket. © by WilTec Wildanger Technik GmbH http://www.WilTec.de http://www.aoyue.eu http://www.teichtip.de Item 61076 Page 8 06 2021-1 Problem solution • • • • • Choose suitable saw blades regarding the material needing to be cut and its thickness. The quality of the sawing will increase, if the number of the saw blade is increased. Ensure to have a firm grip on the workpiece. Support the big panel near the cutting line. Moving of the workpiece can have an impact on the quality of the sawing. Maintenance Before carrying out any work on the device, the electricity plug needs to be disconnected from the socket! • • • Clean the device with a slightly damp cloth. Then dry it off thoroughly. A lot of cleaning detergents contain chemical substances, which can be harmful towards the plastic parts of the device. Never use petrol, turpentine, solvents or similar products. Keep your tools sharp and clean, to be able to work better and safer. Do not open the device! Give it to a qualified technician, in case it is broke, damaged or malfunctioning. Switch the device off and remove the electricity plug if the connection cable is damaged. If the power cord of this device has been damaged, it needs to be replaced with a special power cord by a qualified technician. © by WilTec Wildanger Technik GmbH http://www.WilTec.de http://www.aoyue.eu http://www.teichtip.de Item 61076 Page 9 06 2021-1 Disposal regulations EU guidelines regarding the disposal of scrap electric appliances (WEEE, 2012/19/EU) were implemented in the law related to electrical and electronic equipment and appliances.
