Read all below instructions before using. WARNING: to avoid the risk of fire, electric shock or injury: 1. Use the system only for its intended use. 2. To avoid a risk of electric shock, do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or other liquids. 3. Never yank the cord to unplug it from the socket, instead please grasp plug to unplug it from the socket. 4. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. 5. Do not operate the system with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance or any other part of the system has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair the vacuum cleaner. Return the unit for examination and repair. Incorrect re-assembly or repair can cause a risk of electrical shock or injury to persons when the vacuum cleaner is used. 6. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave the appliance unattended while it's plugged. 7. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from opening and moving parts. 8. Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be present. 9. Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes. 10. Pay extra attentions when cleaning on stairs in case of falling or tripping. 11. Do not use the vacuum without the dust cup filter installed in place. 12. This appliance is intended for household use only. Follow all user instructions in this manual. 13. Unplug the power cord when not in use and before servicing. 14. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended accessories. 15. Do not pull cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. 16. Turn off the power switch before unplugging it from the socket. 17. Do not handle plug or vacuum with wet hands or operate without shoes. 18. Do not put any objects into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked. Power cord 02 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Model Number ST600 Voltage 120V Power 600W Dust cup capability 0.5L Suction Power 15Kpa OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Note: Always remove the power plug from the wall outlet before assembling or removing accessories Inserting the metal extension tube into the main body Hold the hand vacuum and the extension tube, make the node (Fig.1) on the extension tube to be in line with the hole(Fig.2) on the vacuum cleaner then insert the tube into the hand vacuum hole. 2 1 03 Push the tube into the vacuum cleaner until you heard a "click" sound as the tube will be locked into place.(Fig. 3) Pull the handle upwards to make sure the tube is locked into the hole(Fig.4) 4 3 To detach the extension tube, press the release button on the side of vacuum cleaner and pull out(Fig. 5) 5 Attaching the floor brush to the main body Push the floor brush into the suction hole opening. 04 Using the crevice tool Push the end of crevice tool back(Fig.6) and turn it 180 degree(Fig.7), then push the other end of crevice tool into the suction hole(Fig.8). 6 7 8 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACCESSORY USAGE Crevice tool: for radiators, crevices, corners, base-boards and between cushions. Floor brush: for all kinds of flooring, including carpeted and tiled floors. WINDING & UNWINDING THE POWER CORD This vacuum cleaner is equipped with a convenient cord storage feature. • This unit also has a quick release cord hook. • Wind power cord around the quick release cord hook and the cord winding hook.(Fig.9 & Fig.10). • To unwind the power cord, simply twist the quick release cord hook to the left or right. 10 9 Caution: The suction opening must be o pen and free of any obstructions at all times. Otherwise, the motor will overheat and could get damaged. 05 POWER SWITCH • There are two On/Off power switch on the appliance. (Fig.11 & Fig.12) • Push on the “I” side to turn the vacuum ON. • Push on the “O” side to turn the vacuum OFF. 11 12 USING THE APPLIANCE AS AN UPRIGHT VACUUM • Insert the extension tube into the hand vac. • Choose the appropriate accessory (crevice tool or floor brush) and use it as suction opening on the hand vac. • Press the “I” position on the On/Off power switch turn the unit on. When finished using the unit, press the “O” position on the On/Off power switch to turn the unit off. • When finished using the unit, wind the power cord around the cord winding hooks for easy storage. USING THE APPLIANCE AS A HANDHELD VACUUM • Disassemble the extension tube from the hand vac by releasing the handle port from the locking clip and removing the extension tube from the hand vac handle. • Note: You may choose to leave the crevice tool or floor brush attached to the hand vacuum when operating as such. Press the “I” position on the On/Off power switch to turn the unit on. When finished using the unit, press the “O” position on the On/Off power switch to turn the unit off. 06 CLEANING & CHANGING THE DUST CUP FILTER Changing and cleaning the dust cup filter In order to achieve the best performance, empty the dust cup and clean the dust cup filter after each use. 1. To remove the dust cup, press down on the dust cup release button (Fig. 13) and separate the dust cup from the main body. (Fig. 14) 13 14 2. Pull out the dust cup filter assembly(Fig. 15), then twist the HEPA filter frame to take out HEPA filter(Fig.16). 15 16 3. Dump the dust from the dust cup. 4. Rinse the dust cup filter in cold water, and then let it air-dry for 24 hours before placing it back in the dust cup. 07 Important Note: DO NOT use a washing machine to clean the dust cup filter. Do NOT use a hair dryer to dry it. AIR-DRY ONLY. 5. Install the dust cup filter carefully into the dust cup compartment. NEVER operate the vacuum cleaner without the dust cup filter installed in place. 6. Attach the dust cup to the main body of the unit. Note: It is recommended that the dust cup filter be cleaned every week(depending on usage) to ensure peak performance of the unit. TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Vacuum does not operate Vacuum cleaner does not pick up dust or the suction power is weak POSSIBLE REASONS No electricity comes from the socket. The fuse and breaker malfunctions. 1. Check and replace the fuse or breaker. 2. Change the socket for plugging in the appliance to try again. 1. Empty dust cup. 1. Dust cup is full. 2. Dust cup filter requires cleaning or replacement. 3. The appliance needs to be charged. 1. Dust cup is full. Dust escaping from the suction hole of the vacuum cleaner POSSIBLE SOLUTION 2. Dust cup filter is not installed correctly. 3. There are puncture/hole in the dust cup filter. 2. Remove dust filter and check for object(s) in air duct and remove. Clean or replace the HEPA filter. 3. Charge the appliance. 1. Empty dust cup. 2. Review the dust cup filter installation instructions. 3. Replace dust cup filter.
