Connect the Ethernet cable to the PC's Ethernet card and to a network HUB or Switch plug. Connect another Ethernet cable to the NET VISION/Card plug and to a HUB or Switch plug. Set the NET VISION/Card DIP-switches to OFF. Turn on the UPS and wait 60 seconds for full NET VISION start-up.

You can configure the NET VISION via a serial port or via the network. The NET VISION/Card hardware preparation involves connecting a RS232 cable to the NET VISION/Card serial port and setting the DIP-switches to the OFF position. For the NET VISION/Box, connect a RS232 cable to the serial port and also set the DIP-switches to OFF.

NET VISION supports SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, TELNET, BOOTP/DHCP, and TFTP protocols. You can enable or disable these protocols in the Control Group setting during the configuration process.

The shutdown software automatically connects and communicates with NET VISION through the network during events like mains failure, battery low, and scheduled shutdown. It then initiates an orderly shutdown process to prevent system damage.
