1. WARNHINWEISE

• Dein LiTRIC Lawinenairbag schützt nicht vor Lawinen!

• Mache dich selbst mit dem richtigen

Verhalten im Falle eines Lawinenabgangs vertraut.

• Deine Risikobereitschaft soll in keiner

Weise durch Verwendung eines LiTRIC

Lawinenairbags erhöht werden.

• Die Funktion und Wirkungsweise des

LiTRIC Lawinenairbags ist darauf ausgelegt, das Risiko einer Verschüttung zu verringern. Es gibt jedoch Situationen, in denen dies nicht oder nur bedingt möglich ist.

• Vor dem Gebrauch des LiTRIC Lawinenairbags musst du die Gebrauchsanleitung vollständig lesen, verstehen und dich mit dem Produkt vertraut machen sowie die mit dem Einsatz verbundenen

Risiken verstehen und akzeptieren.

MÜSSEN DESHALB INSBESONDERE

DIE FOLGENDEN PUNKTE BEACH-

TET WERDEN:

• Verwende das LiTRIC System nicht in der

Nähe einer Wärmequelle wie Feuer oder

Heizung und lasse es nicht dort liegen.

• Benutze oder lasse das LiTRIC System nicht bei sehr hohen Temperaturen

(z. B. bei starker direkter Sonneneinstrahlung oder in einem Fahrzeug bei extrem heißem Wetter). Andernfalls kann das Gerät überhitzen, explodieren oder Feuer fangen und/oder seine Leistung wird herabgesetzt und seine

Lebensdauer verkürzt.

• Wenn das LiTRIC System einen Geruch abgibt, Hitze erzeugt, sich verformt oder in irgendeiner Weise während des

Gebrauchs, des Aufladens oder der

Lagerung abnormal erscheint, entferne sofort das Ladekabel und lege das

Gerät in ein verschließbares Gefäß, z. B. eine Metallbox.

• Lade das LiTRIC System nur über das mitgelieferte USB-C-Kabel auf. Die vom

Ladegerät abgegebene Spannung darf

5 V nicht überschreiten. Verwende ausschließlich ein EG/UL geprüftes Ladegerät der Schutzklasse II (doppelte

Isolierung gegen gefährliche Spannungen). Lasse das Gerät während des

Ladevorgangs nicht unbeaufsichtigt.

• Ein LiTRIC Lawinenairbag erfordert einen sorgfältigen Umgang und vor jedem Einsatz eine exakte Überprüfung der Funktionsbereitschaft.

• ORTOVOX ist nicht für Verletzungen verantwortlich, die durch ein Lawinenunglück entstehen, bei dem ein LiTRIC

Lawinenairbag getragen wird.

• Ein LiTRIC Lawinenairbag ersetzt

NICHT die übrige Lawinennotfallausrüstung (LVS, Sonde, Schaufel).

• Tauche das LiTRIC System nicht in Wasser.

• Setze den LiTRIC Lawinenairbag keinen

Temperaturen über 55°C aus.

• Jegliche Manipulation am LiTRIC Lawinenairbag ist verboten und kann eine

Fehlfunktion des LiTRIC Lawinenairbags zur Folge haben. Gewährleis-

tungs- und Garantieansprüche sind in diesen Fällen ausgeschlossen.

• Das komplette LiTRIC System mit

Gebläse (A) , Airbag (B) und Auslöse-Bowdenzug (J) darf keinesfalls geöffnet werden. Ein Öffnen des Systems bedeutet immer einen Eingriff in den vom Hersteller freigegebenen Zustand und birgt sicherheitsrelevante Risiken.

• Wartungsarbeiten und komplette Systemkontrollen dürfen ausschließlich vom Hersteller durchgeführt werden.

• Benutze das LiTRIC System nicht wenn es nicht ausreichend aufgeladen ist oder nicht nach den Anweisungen in dieser Anleitung behandelt wurde.

• Der LiTRIC Lawinenairbag löst nicht automatisch aus. Du musst zur Auslösung den Auslösegriff ziehen.

• Dieses Produkt ist nur für den Einsatz in

Notfällen gedacht, eine Lawinenerfassung ist durch den Anwender durch entsprechende Vorkehrungen zwingend zu vermeiden.

• Bei häufiger Auslösung in Innenräumen wird die Verwendung eines Gehörschutzes empfohlen

2. HAFTUNGSAUSSCHLUSS

Die LiTRIC Lawinenairbags sind auf enorme Kräfte ausgelegt, die in einer Lawine auftreten können. Hierfür sind alle LiTRIC Lawinenairbags TÜV/CE (DIN EN 16716) zertifiziert (siehe Ziffer 6.). Eine Gewährleistung und Haftung für die Funktion des

LiTRIC Lawinenairbags über die zertifizierten Eigenschaften hinaus von ORTOVOX gegenüber dem Käufer ist, außer in Fällen gesetzlich vorgeschriebener zwingender Haftung, ausgeschlossen. Dies gilt insbesondere für Fälle unsachgemäßer

Behandlung, für Reparaturversuche oder Teileaustausch durch nicht autorisierte

Personen sowie bei Betrieb oder Verbindung mit nicht von ORTOVOX autorisierten Fremdkomponenten.

3. EINLEITUNG

Das LiTRIC System ist ein elektrisch betriebenes Gebläse-System, das bei sehr leichtem Produktgewicht mehrere

Auslösungen aus einer Energie-Ladung ermöglicht.

Die Energiebereitstellung für die Auslösung erfolgt durch Superkondensatoren.

Die Superkondensatoren werden nach einer Auslösung durch eine kleine integrierte Lithium-Ionen-Batterie wieder aufgeladen, um eine weitere Auslösung nach einer kurzen Wartezeit zu ermöglichen.

4. BETRIEB

4.1. AUFLADEN

Hebe die Abdeckung (E) zum USB-C

Anschluss (D) vorsichtig ab. Lade das

Gerät mit dem mitgelieferten USB-C

Kabel (R) an einem USB-Anschluss

(z. B. Laptop) oder mit einem USB-Ladegerät (siehe Ziffer 1.).

Der Ladestatus wird durch LEDs (F) angezeigt (siehe Ziffer 4.3.).

Nimm das USB-C Kabel nach dem

Ladevorgang zeitnah ab und schließe die

Abdeckung wieder gründlich, um das

System vor Schmutz und Feuchtigkeit zu schützen.

HINWEIS

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch muss das

System aufgeladen werden.

ACHTUNG

Sichere den Auslösegriff während des

Ladens (siehe Ziffer 4.4.1.). Der Airbag kann ausgelöst werden, sobald der

Auslösegriff gezogen wird, während die

LEDs leuchten. Dies gilt auch für den

Ladevorgang.

USB-C Kabel nicht eingesteckt lassen, wenn der LiTRIC Lawinenairbag im

Gelände verwendet wird.

4.2. AN- UND AUSSCHALTEN

Hebe die Abdeckung (E) vorsichtig ab.

Zum Einschalten halte die AN/AUS-Taste

(F) und eine ansteigende Tonfolge erklingt.

Wenn das LiTRIC System kurz zuvor ausgelöst wurde, beträgt die Ladezeit ungefähr 25 Minuten.

Das LiTRIC System führt bei jedem

Einschalten einen Selbsttest der Elektronik durch.

Nach dem Einschalten werden die

Superkondensatoren durch die Lithium-Ionen-Batterie geladen, bis sie für eine Auslösung einsatzbereit sind. Die

Dauer dieses Vorgangs hängt vom

Ladestand des Systems ab. Bei kurz zuvor geladenem System beträgt diese Ladezeit

Sobald das System für eine Auslösung bereit ist, findet ein kurzer Motortest statt und die LEDs zeigen den Ladestand an

(siehe Ziffer 4.3.).

Das LiTRIC Airbag System kann jetzt ausgelöst werden.

Zum Ausschalten halte die AN/AUS Taste erneut für mindestens 2 Sekunden gedrückt.

Beim Ausschalten leuchten alle drei LEDs und eine absteigende Tonfolge erklingt.

ACHTUNG

Schließe die Abdeckung nach dem Ein- oder Ausschalten immer gründlich, um das System vor Schmutz und Feuchtigkeit zu schützen.

4.3. LED-INFORMATIONEN

Die LED-Anzeige (F) ist von innen und außen am Rucksack einfach erkennbar.

BEDEUTUNG

ACHTUNG SYSTEM-FEHLER!

Führe folgende Maßnahmen durch:

• Schalte das LiTRIC System aus und wieder ein. Bleibt die Anzeige bei rotem Dauerlicht:

• Lade das LiTRIC System auf. Bleibt die Anzeige bei rotem Dauerlicht:

• Schicke den LiTRC Lawinenairbag zum Überprüfungsservice ein (siehe Ziffer 5.3.).

Die maximale Anzahl von 50 Auslösungen wurde erreicht. Der LiTRIC Lawinenairbag sollte zum Überprüfungsservice eingeschickt werden (siehe Ziff er 5.3.).

Änderungen des Betriebsstatus werden durch Töne unterstützt

• Ansteigende Tonfolge: LiTRIC System wurde eingeschaltet

• Absteigende Tonfolge: LiTRIC System wird ausgeschaltet

• 3 Sekunden Dauerton: LiTRIC System laden! Das LiTRIC System kann sich jederzeit abschalten. Eine Auslösung ist nicht garantiert!

• 10 Sekunden Dauerton: LiTRIC System schaltet sich wegen niedrigen Ladestands ab

4.4. VERWENDUNG IM

GELÄNDE

Für die Verwendung im Gelände muss das LiTRIC System eingeschaltet und ausreichend aufgeladen sein

(siehe Ziffer 4.2./4.3.).

4.4.1. Funktionsweise des

Auslösegriffs

Durch kräftiges, ruckartiges Ziehen des

Auslösegriffs (H) am Rucksack-Schulterträger bei entsicherter Griffstellung wird das LiTRIC Gebläse aktiviert. Die Formgebung des Auslösegriffs macht eine

Auslösung mit Handschuhen möglich, egal ob Links- oder Rechtshänder.

Der Auslösegriff kann durch eine Rotation um 180° gesichert oder entsichert werden.

• Orangefarbene Griffseite ist nach vorne gerichtet: Auslösegriff ist entsichert und auslösebereit.

• Schwarze Griffseite mit

Schloss-Symbol ist nach vorne gerichtet und der Griff ist eingerastet: Auslösegriff ist gesichert.

ACHTUNG

In Bereichen, wo du dich selbst oder andere Personen durch eine Auslösung in

Gefahr bringen könntest (in Fahrzeugen, im Lift, in Menschenmengen, auf einem

Grat, etc.), ist sicher zu stellen, dass der Auslösegriff nicht versehentlich gezogen wird und dadurch der LiTRIC Lawinenairbag ausgelöst wird. Hierzu muss der

Auslösegriff gesichert sein.

ACHTUNG

Das System muss vor dem Einfahren in lawinengefährdetes Gelände in Einsatzbereitschaft versetzt werden. Hierzu muss der Auslösegriff entsichert sein.

Für einen Wechsel der Griff position:

Schalte das LiTRIC System aus (siehe Ziff er 4.2.)

4.4.2. Einstellen der Griff höhe

Der Auslösegriff (H) kann werkzeuglos in einer von drei unterschiedlichen Positionen am Schulterträger angebracht und damit den persönlichen anatomischen

Voraussetzungen optimal angepasst werden.

1. Hänge den Griff erst am unteren Haken der Grundplatte (I) aus

2. Hänge dann den Griff am oberen Haken der Grundplatte aus

3. Fädele zum Wieder-Einhängen der Grundplatte zuerst den oberen Haken ein

ACHTUNG

Die Grundplatte des Griff s muss mit beiden Haken am Schulterträger fixiert sein.

4.4.3. Verwendung der

Beinschlaufe

Die in einer Lawine auftretenden Kräfte könnten den Rucksack mit aufgeblasenem Airbag vom Körper reißen, wenn die

Beinschlaufe (M) nicht benutzt wird.

Verstelle die Länge der Beinschlaufe am

Gurtband, sodass sie eng am Körper anliegt, ohne dich in deiner Bewegungsfreiheit zu beeinträchtigen.

ACHTUNG

Die Beinschlaufe muss beim Einsatz des

LiTRIC Lawinenairbags benutzt werden, um eine sichere Funktion zu gewährleisten.

Der Karabiner der Beinschlaufe muss in der dafür vorgesehenen Beinschlaufen-

Öse (N) am Hüftgurt (O) eingehängt sein.

4.4.4. Tragweise des

LITRIC Rucksacks

Den LiTRIC Rucksack (S) aufsetzen und die Schulterträger eng ziehen. Schließe nacheinander die beiden Schnallen des

Hüft- und Brustgurtes (O, P) , ziehe sie fest und stelle sicher, dass diese richtig verschlossen sind. Schließe die Beinschlaufe (siehe Ziffer 4.4.3.).

ACHTUNG

• LVS-Geräte können von elektronischen und magnetischen Gegenständen gestört werden. Um Interferenzen zu minimieren, trage das LVS-Gerät an der

Vorderseite des Körpers, wodurch der

Abstand zwischen LVS-Gerät und dem

LiTRIC System maximiert wird.

• Packe den LiTRIC Rucksack so, dass keine spitzen oder scharfen Gegenstände das LiTRIC Gebläse (A) , den

LiTRIC Airbag (B) oder das Airbag Fach

(K) beschädigen können.

• Bei der Beförderung von Pickeln,

Eisgeräten oder Skistöcken ist darauf zu achten, dass diese mit Schutzkappen versehen sind.

• Der Ansaugbereich (G) des LiTRIC

Lawinenairbags muss frei bleiben, um

Luft ansaugen zu können. Es dürfen keine Gegenstände wie zum Beispiel eine Jacke über den Ansaugbereich gepackt werden.

• Befestige keine Gegenstände am

LiTRIC Rucksack, welche die Öffnung des Airbag-Fachs oder das Aufblasen des LiTRIC Airbags beeinträchtigen könnten.

• Befestige keine Ski seitlich am LiTRIC

Rucksack. Bei seitlicher Ski befestigung kann das Aufblasen des LiTRIC Airbags beeinträchtigt werden.

4.5. AIRBAG AUSLÖSUNG

4.5.1. Auslösen des

LiTRIC Lawinenairbags

Löse den LiTRIC Lawinenairbag im Falle eines Lawinenabgangs sofort aus. Ziehe dazu so fest wie möglich und ruckartig am Auslösegriff (H) .

Der LiTRIC Airbag wird sich selbstständig füllen. Der aufgeblasene LiTRIC Airbag behindert dich im Normalfall nicht bei einem eventuellen Flucht- oder Ausweichmanöver.

HINWEIS

Um im Ernstfall richtig reagieren zu können, ist ein regelmäßiges Training der

Auslösung des LiTRIC Lawinenairbags notwendig.

ACHTUNG

Das LiTRIC System muss aktiv ausgelöst werden.

Für eine korrekte Auslösung ist ein ausreichender Ladezustand notwendig.

4.5.2. Verhalten bei einem

Lawinenabgang

Mache dich selbstständig mit dem richtigen Verhalten im Falle eines

Lawinenabgangs vertraut. Grundsätzlich gilt immer: Versuche bei einer Lawine immer, dich so schnell wie möglich in

Sicherheit zu bringen bzw. der Lawine zu entkommen. Lasse den LiTRIC Lawinenairbag so lange aufgeblasen und am

Körper, bis die unmittelbare Lawinengefahr vorüber ist und du den Gefahrenbereich verlassen hast.

4.6. NACH EINER AUSLÖSUNG

4.6.1. Ablassen der Luft

Für den erneuten Gebrauch des LiTRIC

Lawinenairbags entlüfte zunächst den

LiTRIC Airbag (B) mithilfe des Entlüftungswerkzeugs (Q) . Schiebe das

Entlüftungswerkzeug dazu am LiTRIC

Gebläse (A) in die dafür vorgesehene

Öffnung. Jetzt kann die Luft aus dem

Airbag abgelassen werden. Belasse das

Entlüftungswerkzeug im Gebläse bis der

LiTRIC Airbag verpackt ist und entferne es dann.

ACHTUNG

Nach einem Lawinenabgang, bei dem dein LiTRIC Lawinenairbag aktiv im Einsatz und aufgeblasen war, muss dein LiTRIC Lawinenairbag zum Überprüfungsservice (siehe Ziffer 5.3.).

Entlüften

ACHTUNG

Zum Entlüften darf ausschließlich das

Original-Entlüftungswerkzeug verwendet werden. Stecke keine fremden Gegenstände in das Ventil des LiTRIC Systems!

4.6.2. Verpacken des Airbags

• Sichere den Auslösegriff

(siehe Ziffer 4.4.1.).

• Stopfe den LiTRIC Airbag (B) gleichmäßig verteilt in das Airbag-Fach (K) wie bei Schritt 1 und 2 gezeigt.

• Restluft kann dabei einfach aus dem

Airbag gedrückt werden.

• Schließe die mechanische Airbag- Fach-

Verriegelung (L) durch zusammendrücken wie bei Schritt 3 und 4 gezeigt.

ACHTUNG

Achte auf ein richtiges Einrasten der Verriegelung!

■ Schiebe nacheinander beide Reißverschluss-Schieber ganz nach oben zu der mechanischen Airbag-Fach-Verriegelung (Schritt 5)

■ Schiebe anschließend beide Reißverschluss-Schieber wieder ganz nach unten (Schritt 6 und 7).

ACHTUNG

• Der Airbag darf nicht verdreht verpackt werden!

• Der Airbag darf nicht eingerollt verpackt werden!

• Der Airbag darf nicht gefaltet verpackt werden!

• Der Airbag darf nicht in Reißverschluss oder Verriegelung eingeklemmt werden!

• Das Airbag-Fach darf nicht blockiert werden!

• Den Airbag vor längerer Verpackung an der Luft trocknen lassen, falls er nass ist.

• Keine anderen Gegenstände als den

Airbag in das Airbag-Fach einpacken!

• Das Entlüfter-Tool muss vor Gebrauch vom LiTRIC Gebläse entfernt werden!

ACHTUNG

• Achte darauf, dass die beiden Reißverschlüsse geschlossen sind.

• Beide Reißverschluss-Schieber müssen sich in der untersten Position befinden, um ein vollständiges Öffnen des

Airbag-Fachs zu gewährleisten.

4.6.3. Option der erneuten Auslösung

Die Energiebereitstellung für eine

Auslösung erfolgt durch die Superkondensatoren des LiTRIC Lawinenairbags.

Die Superkondensatoren werden nach einer Auslösung durch die integrierte

Lithium-Ionen-Batterie sofort und automatisch wieder aufgeladen für eine weitere Auslösung. Dazu muss der LiTRIC

Airbag wieder verpackt sein und das

LiTRIC System eingeschaltet und die

Lithium-Ionen-Batterie ausreichend geladen (siehe Ziffer 4.3.). Die Ladezeit beträgt ungefähr 25 Minuten.

Sobald das System für eine Auslösung bereit ist, findet ein kurzer Motortest statt und die LEDs zeigen den Ladestand an.

Das LiTRIC Airbag System kann jetzt wieder ausgelöst werden.

5. WARTUNG, LAGERUNG UND TRANSPORT

5.1. JÄHRLICHE

ZUSTANDSKONTROLLE

5.2. WARTUNG NACH

EINEM LAWINEN-EINSATZ

Das LiTRIC System ist weitgehend wartungsfrei. Führe jährlich mindestens

1 x eine Zustandskontrolle durch:

• Führe jährlich mindestens 1x eine Auslösung zum Test und Training durch.

• Überprüfe dabei, dass der aufgeblasene

Airbag für mindestens 3 Minuten vollständig gefüllt bleibt.

• Überprüfe den Zustand des Airbags auf eventuelle Beschädigungen und verpacke ihn wieder.

• Stelle sicher, dass das komplette LiTRIC

System bei der Einlagerung vollkommen trocken ist.

• Kontrolliere regelmäßig den Zustand des Rucksacks auf eventuelle Beschädigungen.

Jeder Lawineneinsatz kann an die

Belastungsgrenze des Materials gehen und den LiTRIC Lawinenairbag beschädigen. Daher ist ein Überprüfungsservice nach einem Lawineneinsatz unerlässlich.

Nach einem Lawineneinsatz muss dein

LiTRIC Lawinenairbag vom Hersteller

überprüft werden (siehe Ziffer 5.3.).

ACHTUNG

Bei jeglichen Beschädigungen muss dein LiTRIC Lawinenairbag vom Hersteller auf seine Funktionsfähigkeit überprüft werden (siehe Ziffer 5.3)

5.3. SERVICE 5.4. LAGERUNG

(siehe hierzu auch Ziffer 5.5).

• Spätestens 5 Jahre nach Kaufdatum sollte ein Überprüfungsservice durchgeführt werden.

• Der kostenpflichtige Überprüfungsservice beinhaltet die Überprüfung des gesamten LiTRIC Lawinenairbags.

Für eine längere Lagerung, zum Beispiel während der Sommermonate, muss das

• Schließe das USB-C Kabel (R) am

USB-C Anschluss (D) an und verbinde es mit einer Stromquelle.

• Lade das System vollständig auf

(siehe Ziffer 4.1.).

• Ziehe nun das USB-C Kabel vom

USB-C Anschluss ab und drücke innerhalb von 1 Sekunde die AN/AUS Taste

1 Sekunde gedrückt halten.

• Alle drei LEDs (F) beginnen nun so lange zu blinken, bis der optimale

Ladezustand für eine lange Lagerung erreicht ist. Dieser Vorgang kann bis zu mehreren Tagen dauern. Der

LiTRIC Lawinenairbag kann so bereits eingelagert werden. Das System schaltet sich nach Erreichen des

Lagerungs-Ladestands selbst ab.

ACHTUNG

Lagere dein LiTRIC System an einem trockenen, für Kinder unzugänglichen

Ort bei Zimmertemperatur (ca. 20°C).

Stelle sicher, dass das komplette LiTRIC

System bei der Einlagerung vollkommen trocken ist.

HINWEIS

• System vor dem erneuten Gebrauch aufladen (siehe Ziffer 4.1.).

• Ein eingelagertes Gerät muss nach spätestens 10 Monaten erneut vollgeladen werden.

5.5. LEBENSDAUER

Bei korrekter Einhaltung der empfoh lenen Wartungs- und Service intervalle (siehe

Ziffer 5.2., 5.3.), den jährlichen Zustands kontrollen und einer sachgemäßen Handhabung hat das LiTRIC System eine maximale Lebensdauer von 10 Jahren ab dem

Herstellungsdatum oder 50 Auslösungen.

Die Lebensdauer kann nicht genau bestimmt werden, denn sie wird von zahlreichen

Faktoren wie der Häufigkeit der Benutzung, der Behandlung, klimatischen Einflüssen, etc. beeinflusst.

Anhaltspunkte für die Lebensdauer liefert die folgende Tabelle:

5.6. REINIGUNG

Verwende zur Reinigung des LiTRIC

Lawinenairbags ausschließlich Wasser.

Reinige nicht mit Lösungs- oder Reinigungsmittel. Nach der Reinigung muss der LiTRIC Lawinenairbag bei Zimmertemperatur für einen erneuten Gebrauch vollkommen getrocknet werden. Ansonsten besteht die Gefahr der Vereisung.

5.7. TRANSPORT UND REISEN

Stelle sicher, dass das LiTRIC System ausgeschaltet (siehe Ziffer 4.2.) und der

Auslösegriff (H) gesichert ist (siehe Ziffer

4.4.1.), bevor du ein Transportmittel wie einen Bus, ein Flugzeug, einen Hubschrauber, oder ein anderes Fahrzeug benutzt.

Für Reisen mit dem LiTRIC Lawinen airbag werden keine Beförderungspapiere benötigt. Die LiTRIC Lithium-Ionen-Batterie unterliegt mit einer Batteriestärke von

7,4 Wh den gleichen Standardbedingungen für Reisen wie zum Beispiel ein

Mobiltelefon oder andere elektronische

Kleingeräte. Die LiTRIC Superkondensatoren sind passive Elemente, die keinen

Einschränkungen für Reisen unterliegen.

Als Passagier im Luftverkehr ist die

Mitnahme tragbarer elektronischer Geräte zulässig, wenn folgende Voraussetzungen gegeben sind:

• This product is intended for emergency use only, and you should still take all precautions to avoid an avalanche.

• Hearing protection is recommended when deploying frequently indoors.

LiTRIC Avalanche Airbags are designed to withstand the enormous forces generated by avalanches. For this reason, LiTRIC Avalanche Airbags are TÜV/CE

(DIN EN 16716) certified (see point 6). ORTOVOX does not warrant or assume liability for the function of the LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag over and above those features certified, except where mandatory liability is stipulated by law. This applies, in particular, in cases of improper handling, attempted repairs or parts replaced by unauthorized persons, or use of or connection with third-party components not authorized by ORTOVOX.

3. INTRODUCTION

The LiTRIC System is an electric fan-based system that allows for a lightweight product that can be deployed multiple times from one single battery charge.

Supercapacitors provide the energy for the airbag release.

Once the airbag is deployed, the supercapacitors are recharged by a small built-in lithium-ion battery, which allows the Litric System to be ready for deployment again after just a short pause.

4. OPERATION

4.1. CHARGING

Carefully lift the electronics cover (E) to access the USB-C port (D).

Use the supplied USB-C cable (R) to charge the device via a USB power source

(e.g., a laptop) or with a USB charger

(see point 1).

The LED lights (F) indicate the charging status (see point 4.3).

Remove the USB-C cable as soon as charging is complete and carefully close the electronics cover again to prevent moisture or dirt from penetrating.

PLEASE NOTE:

You must charge the battery before first use.

ATTENTION

■ The trigger handle should be locked (see point 4.4.1) while charging. The airbag may deploy if the trigger handle is pulled when the LED lights) are on, even during charging.

■ Do not leave the USB-C cable plugged in while the LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag is in use in the backcountry.

4.2. ON/OFF FUNCTION

Carefully lift the electronics cover (E). To turn the system on, press the ON/OFF button (C) for 2+ seconds. All three LED lights (F) will light up and there will be a rising series of beeps when powering on.

Each time the LiTRIC System is switched on it will perform an automatic self-test.

Once the system is switched on, the supercapacitors are charged by the lithium-ion battery to be ready for deployment. The charging time depends on the current charge status of the system. If the system has recently been charged, the charging time can take a few seconds up to a few minutes. If the

LiTRIC System was recently deployed, the charging time will take approximately

25 minutes.

Once the system is charged and ready for deployment, it will automatically run a brief motor test and the LED lights will indicate the charge status (see point 4.3).

The LiTRIC system is now ready to deploy.

To turn it off, press the ON/OFF button again for 2+ seconds.

All three LED lights will light up again and a decreasing series of beeps will be heard when powering down.

ATTENTION

Always carefully close the electronics cover again to prevent moisture or dirt from penetrating.

MEANING

ATTENTION SYSTEM ERROR. TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS:

• Turn the LiTRIC System OFF and then ON again.

• If the red light remains on, charge the LiTRIC System.,

• If the red light still remains on, send your LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag in for a service inspection (see point 5.3).

The maximum number of 50 deployments has been reached. The LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag should be sent in for a service inspection (see point 5.3).

Changes in operating status are accompanied by beeps:

• Rising series of beeps: LiTRIC System is ON.

• Falling series of beeps: LiTRIC System is OFF.

• 3-second continuous beep: LiTRIC System needs to be charged. The LiTRIC System could switch off at any time. Deployment is no longer assured.

• 10-second continuous beep: LiTRIC System is shutting down because the battery is low.

4.4. BACKCOUNTRY USE

When using the LiTRIC System in the backcountry it must be switched ON and be sufficiently charged (see points 4.2 and 4.3).

4.4.1. Operating the trigger handle

The LiTRIC fan system is activated by tugging forcefully on the unlocked trigger handle (H) which is located on the backpack shoulder strap.

The trigger handle is designed for use while wearing gloves and for both left- and right-handed people.

The trigger handle can be unlocked or locked by rotating it 180°.

• When the orange side is facing the front, the trigger handle is unlocked and ready for deployment.

• When the black side with the lock symbol is facing the front with the trigger handle latched in place, the trigger handle is locked.

ATTENTION

In places where deployment of the airbag could potentially be dangerous to you or others around you (such as in a vehicle, chairlift, crowd, on a ridge, etc.), make sure the trigger handle cannot be pulled accidentally, thereby deploying the

LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag. Place the trigger handle in the locked position

ATTENTION

Before going into the backcountry or avalanche terrain, always unlock the trigger handle to enable deployment of the LiTRIC System.

To change trigger handle position:

Switch the LiTRIC System OFF (see point 4.2)

4.4.2. Adjusting the height of the trigger handle

The trigger handle ( H ) can be installed at three diff erent heights on the shoulder strap to better suit the individual.

1. Unhook the lower clasp of the handle baseplate (I)

2. Unhook the upper clasp of handle baseplate

3. Determine the correct height and thread the upper clasp of the handle baseplate back through the baseplate

ATTENTION

The baseplate on the trigger handle must be hooked onto the shoulder strap by both hooks (top and bottom).

4.4.3. Using the leg strap

The force exerted during an avalanche can rip a backpack with deployed airbag from your back if you do not use the leg strap (M) . Adjust the length of the leg strap loop on the hipbelt (O) so that it fits snugly against your body without impairing your freedom of movement.

ATTENTION

The leg strap must be worn properly to ensure the LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag works as designed. The leg strap carabiner must be clipped to the dedicated leg strap loop (N) on the hipbelt (O) .

4.4.4. Wearing the LiTRIC backpack

Put on the LiTRIC backpack (S) and pull the shoulder straps until they are snug.

Then fasten the hipbelt and sternum strap buckles (O, P) , pull them tight and double-check that they are securely fastened. Clip on the leg strap (see point

4.4.3.).

ATTENTION

• Electronic or magnetic objects can interfere with avalanche transceivers. To minimize the chances of this happening, always wear your transceiver on the front of your torso, leaving plenty of space between your avalanche transceiver and the LiTRIC System.

• Pack the LiTRIC backpack in such a way that no sharp or pointy items can damage the LiTRIC fan (A) , the LiTRIC airbag (B) or the airbag compartment

(K) .

• When strapping on ice axes, ice tools or ski poles, make sure these have a tip protector or sheath in place.

• The air intake zone (G) for the LiTRIC

Avalanche Airbag must never be obstructed; air must be able to freely enter the system at all times. Do not pack any items, such as a jacket, into or onto the LiTRIC backpack in such a way that it covers the air intake zone

• Do not attach any items to the LiTRIC backpack in such a way that they block the airbag compartment, otherwise they could interfere with the deployment of the airbag.

• Do not attach skis to the sides of the

LiTRIC backpack. Skis strapped to the sides could interfere with the inflation of the LiTRIC airbag.

4.5. DEPLOYING THE

LITRIC AIRBAG

4.5.1. Deploying the LiTRIC

Avalanche Airbag

If an avalanche is triggered, immediately deploy the LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag by pulling as hard as you can on the trigger handle (H) in a downward tugging motion.

The LiTRIC airbag will then automatically inflate. The inflated LiTRIC airbag will not be a hindrance in any avalanche escape or evasion attempts.

PLEASE NOTE

Before using the LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag in an avalanche situation, it is important to regularly practice deploying the airbag.

Deployment

ATTENTION

The LiTRIC System must be activated by hand.

The LiTRIC System must be sufficiently charged for it to deploy correctly

4.6. AFTER DEPLOYMENT

4.5.2. What to do in case of an avalanche

Familiarize yourself with the correct procedures in the event of an avalanche.

In principle, the following general advice applies:

In an avalanche, always try to escape and get to safety as fast as possible. Leave the airbag inflated and on your body until all potential danger from the avalanche has passed and you are safely out of the danger zone.

4.6.1. Deflation

In order to prepare the LiTRIC Avalanche

Airbag for another deployment, you must first deflate the LiTRIC airbag (B) using the airbag deflation tool (Q) .

Push the airbag deflation tool into the special air release valve on the LiTRIC fan

(A) . Now the air can escape the airbag.

Leave the airbag deflation tool in the fan unit until the LiTRIC airbag is packed away, and then remove it.

ATTENTION

The LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag must be sent in for a service inspection

(see point 5.3) after it has been deployed and inflated in an avalanche.

ATTENTION

Use only the original ORTOVOX airbag deflation tool to deflate the LiTRIC airbag.

Never put any other items or tools into the

LiTRIC System air release valve.

4.6.2. Repacking the airbag

• Lock the trigger handle (H)

(see point 4.4.1).

• Evenly stuff the LiTRIC airbag (B) into the airbag compartment (K)

(steps 1 and 2).

• Squeeze any remaining air from the airbag.

• Close the airbag compartment safety latch (L) by pressing it together

(steps 3 and 4).

ATTENTION

Make sure the airbag compartment safety latch (L) engages correctly.

■ Pull both zipper sliders, one after the other, upwards until they butt up to the airbag compartment safety latch

(step 5).

■ Pull both the zipper sliders back down to the bottom (steps 6 and 7).

ATTENTION

• Do not twist the airbag while packing it away.

• Do not roll the airbag while packing it away.

• Do not fold the airbag while packing it away.

• Make sure the airbag does not get caught in the zipper or safety latch.

• Make sure the airbag compartment is

52 not obstructed.

• Make sure the airbag is completely dry before packing it away for prolonged periods.

• Do not use the airbag compartment to store anything other than the airbag.

• The airbag deflation tool must be removed from the LiTRIC fan unit before use.

• Check that the teeth on both zippers have engaged properly and are sealed.

• Both zipper sliders must be positioned at their lowest position and not at the top, otherwise the airbag will not deploy fully.

4.6.3. Secondary deployment option

Supercapacitors in the LiTRIC Avalanche

Airbag power the airbag’s deployment.

Once the airbag is deployed, the built-in lithium-ion battery automatically and instantly begins to recharge the supercapacitors, so they are ready for deployment again. In order for this to occur, the LiTRIC airbag must be correctly repacked, the

LiTRIC System must be switched ON, and the lithium-ion battery must have sufficient charge (see point 4.3). Charging time is approximately 25 minutes.

Once the system is charged and ready for one deployment, it will automatically run a brief motor test and the LED lights will indicate the system’s charge status. The

LiTRIC airbag system is then ready to deploy.

5. MAINTENANCE, STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

5.1. YEARLY INSPECTION

The LiTRIC System should be inspected at least once per year.

• Deploy the airbag at least once a year for testing and training purposes.

• In doing so, check that the airbag remains fully inflated for a minimum of three minutes.

• Inspect the airbag for any damage and then repack properly.

• Before storing it, ensure that the entire

LiTRIC System is completely dry.

• Check the backpack regularly for any damage.

5.2. SERVICE FOLLOWING

DEPLOYMENT IN AN

AVALANCHE

Deployment of the airbag in an avalanche puts a great deal of stress on the material and can damage the LiTRIC Avalanche

Airbag. It is crucial that a service inspection be carried out following an avalanche deployment. Send the LiTRIC Avalanche

Airbag in to the manufacturer for inspection following any live deployment in an avalanche (see point 5.3).

ATTENTION

If the LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag shows any signs of damage send it back to the manufacturer for a full inspection (see point 5.3).

5.3. SERVICE 5.4. STORAGE

• The LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag is designed for up to 50 deployments (see

LED indicators point 4.3). An inspection should be carried out by the manufacturer to certify its suitability for any further deployments. If no service inspection is carried out by the manufacturer after 50 deployments, the

LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag should be retired (see also point 5.5).

• A service inspection must be carried out no later than 5 years after the date of purchase.

• The service inspection, which is subject to a charge, includes inspection of the entire LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag.

When being stored for longer periods, during the summer months for instance, the LiTRIC System must be set to ‘storage

Store the LiTRIC System in a dry area, out of reach of children, and at room temperature (approx. 20°C/68°F). Ensure the whole LiTRIC System is completely dry before storage.

5.5. SERVICE LIFE

Even if the recommended maintenance and service intervals (see point 5.2 and 5.3) and yearly inspections are observed and it is handled correctly, the LiTRIC System has a maximum service life of 10 years from the date of manufacture or 50 deployments.

The service life cannot be accurately determined, because it depends on various factors, such ashow frequently it is used, how it is handled, climatic conditions, etc.

The following table is a guideline for estimating potential service life:

Only use water to clean the LiTRIC

Avalanche Airbag. Never use detergents or cleaning solutions. Once cleaned, the

LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag must fully dry at room temperature before its next use.

Otherwise, the system could become iced up.

• Before boarding any type of transportation (e.g., bus, plane, helicopter), always make sure the LiTRIC System is switched OFF (see point 4.2) and the trigger handle (H) is locked (see point

4.4.1).

• No special documents are required to travel with the LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag. With a battery power of 7.4 Wh, the

LiTRIC’s lithium-ion battery is subject to the same standard conditions for travel as, for example, a cell phone or other small electronic device. The LiTRIC supercapacitors are passive elements and are therefore not subject to travel restrictions.

• For air traffic passengers, portable electronic devices are allowed as long as the following criteria are met:

• Nominal capacity is ≤ 100 Wh

• There are no more than 15 devices per person

• The device is for that person’s personal use

The warranty does not cover the battery or charging cable or defects caused by improper handling or regular wear and tear. For products that do not exhibit any defects, inspection costs are chargeable.

Shipping costs are to be borne by the owner. The warranty does not impact any statutory warranty claims.

• N’utilise pas le système LiTRIC s’il n’a pas été suffisamment rechargé ou s’il n’a pas été manipulé en suivant les instructions de ce manuel.

• L’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC ne se déclenche pas automatiquement. Afin de le déclencher, il est nécessaire de tirer la poignée de déclenchement.

• Ce produit a été conçu pour être utilisé uniquement dans des situations d’urgence. L’utilisateur doit prendre les précautions adéquates pour éviter le déclenchement d’avalanche et l’ensevelissement.

• En cas de déclenchement fréquent en intérieur, l‘utilisation d‘une protection auditive est recommandée.

2. CLAUSE DE

NON-RESPONSABILITÉ

Les airbags d’avalanche LiTRIC sont soumis à des forces très importantes qui peuvent résulter d’une avalanche. C’est pourquoi tous nos airbags d’avalanche

LiTRIC sont certifiés TÜV (certification technique allemande) et CE (DIN EN 16716)

(cf. paragraphe 6). Une garantie et une responsabilité envers l’acheteur pour le fonctionnement de l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC dépassant le cadre des caractéristiques certifiées par ORTOVOX sont exclues, sauf en cas de responsabilité obligatoire prévue par la loi. Ceci s’applique en particulier aux cas de manipulation inadéquate, de tentatives de réparation ou de remplacements de pièces par des personnes non autorisées ainsi que d’utilisation ou de raccordement à des composants externes non autorisés par ORTOVOX.

3. PRÉSENTATION

Le système LiTRIC est un système de soufflerie à alimentation électrique qui, pour un poids de produit très bas, permet plusieurs déclenchements à partir d’une seule recharge énergétique.

L’alimentation électrique pour le déclenchement est réalisée par des supercondensateurs.

Après un déclenchement, les supercondensateurs sont rechargés grâce à une petite batterie lithium-ion intégrée afin de permettre un autre déclenchement

à la suite d’un petit temps d’attente.

4. FONCTIONNEMENT

4.1. RECHARGE

Retire le cache (E) du port USB-C (D) avec précaution. Recharge l’appareil en connectant le câble USB-C fourni (R) à un port USB (p. ex. un ordinateur) ou à l’aide d’un chargeur USB (cf. paragraphe 1).

L’état de charge est indiqué avec des LED

(F) (cf. paragraphe 4.3).

Débranche le câble USB-C directement après la recharge et referme soigneusement le cache afin de protéger le système de la poussière et de l’humidité.

N.B. :

Le système doit être rechargé avant sa première utilisation.

ATTENTION

Fixe la poignée de déclenchement pendant la recharge (cf. paragraphe 4.4.1).

L’airbag peut être déclenché dès que la poignée de déclenchement est tirée alors que les LED sont allumées ou pendant la recharge.

Ne laisse pas le câble USB-C branché quand tu utilises l’airbag d’avalanche

LiTRIC sur le terrain.

4.2. MISE EN MARCHE ET ARRÊT

Retire le cache (E) avec précaution. Pour la mise en marche, maintiens le bouton

Marche/Arrêt (C) enfoncé pendant au moins 2 secondes.

Lors de la mise en charge, les trois LED

(F) s’allument et une succession de sons retentit de plus en plus fort.

Lors de chaque mise en marche, le système LiTRIC teste automatiquement son électronique.

Après la mise en marche, les supercondensateurs sont rechargés grâce à la batterie lithium-ion jusqu’à avoir suffisamment d’énergie pour un déclenchement.

La durée de ce processus dépend du niveau de charge du système. Si le système a été rechargé récemment, le temps de recharge dure de quelques secondes à quelques minutes. Si le système LiTRIC vient d’être déclenché, le temps de recharge dure environ

25 minutes.

Dès que le système est prêt à être déclenché, un bref test du moteur est réalisé et les LED indiquent le niveau de recharge (cf. paragraphe 4.3). Le système de l’airbag LiTRIC peut maintenant être déclenché.

Pour l’éteindre, maintiens le bouton

Marche/Arrêt enfoncé à nouveau pendant au moins 2 secondes.

Lors de l’arrêt, les trois LED s’allument et une succession de sons retentit de moins en moins fort.

ATTENTION

Referme soigneusement le cache après chaque mise en marche et arrêt afin de protéger le système de la poussière et de l’humidité

4.4. UTILISATION SUR

LE TERRAIN

Pour être utilisé sur le terrain, le système

LiTRIC doit être allumé et suffisamment rechargé (cf. paragraphes 4.2/4.3).

4.4.1. Fonctionnement de la poignée de déclenchement

La soufflerie LiTRIC est activée en tirant par à-coups vigoureux la poignée de déclenchement (H) sur la bretelle du sac

à dos, la poignée étant en position déverrouillée.

La forme de la poignée de déclenchement permet de déclencher le système avec des gants, que tu sois gaucher ou droitier.

La poignée de déclenchement peut être verrouillée ou déverrouillée en la pivotant

à 180°.

• Si le côté orange de la poignée est à l’avant, cela signifie qu’elle est déverrouillée et prête au déclenchement.

• Si le côté noir de la poignée avec un symbole de verrou est à l’avant et si elle est encliquetée, cela signifie qu’elle est verrouillée.

ATTENTION

Dans les endroits où le déclenchement du système pourrait te mettre en danger ou mettre en danger d’autres personnes (dans un véhicule, dans les remontées mécaniques, dans la foule, sur une crête, etc.), tu dois vérifier que la poignée de déclenchement ne puisse pas être tirée de manière involontaire et que l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC ne soit donc pas déclenché par accident. Pour ce faire, tu dois verrouiller la poignée de déclenchement.

ATTENTION

Le système doit être prêt à l’emploi dès que tu t’engages sur des terrains sujets au risque d’avalanche. Pour ce faire, tu dois déverrouiller la poignée de déclenchement.

Pour changer la position de la poignée :

Éteins le système LiTRIC (cf. paragraphe 4.2)

4.4.2. Réglage de la hauteur de la poignée

La poignée de déclenchement (H) peut

être fixée à la bretelle dans trois positions possibles sans que des outils ne soient nécessaires. Elle peut ainsi être parfaitement ajustée à ton anatomie.

Décroche d’abord le crochet inférieur de la poignée de la plaque support (I)

Décroche ensuite le crochet supérieur de la poignée de la plaque support

Pour le raccrocher à la plaque support, enfile d’abord le crochet supérieur

4.4.3. Utilisation de la sangle d’entrejambe

Sans l’utilisation de la sangle d’entrejambe (M) , la force d’une avalanche peut arracher le sac et l’airbag gonflé de son porteur. Règle la longueur de la sangle d‘entrejambe sur la sangle de telle sorte qu‘elle soit près du corps sans entraver ta liberté de mouvement.

ATTENTION

La sangle d’entrejambe de l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC doit être utilisée pour garantir un fonctionnement sûr.

Le mousqueton de la sangle d’entrejambe doit être attaché à l’anneau (N) de la ceinture ventrale (O) prévue à cet eff et.

4.4.4. Port du sac à dos LiTRIC

Enfile le sac à dos LiTRIC (S) et serre les bretelles. Ferme l’une après l’autre les deux boucles des ceintures ventrale et pectorale (O, P) , serre-les et vérifie qu’elles sont bien fermées. Ferme la sangle d‘entrejambe (cf. paragraphe 4.4.3.).

ATTENTION

• Les appareils DVA peuvent être parasités par des objets électroniques et magnétiques. Pour minimiser les interférences, porte l’appareil DVA à l’avant de ton corps de manière à maximiser la distance entre l’appareil

DVA et le système LiTRIC.

• Remplis ton sac à dos LiTRIC de manière à ce qu’aucun objet pointu ou tranchant ne puisse endommager la soufflerie (A) , l’airbag LiTRIC (B) ou le compartiment à airbag (K) .

• Si tu transportes des piolets, des outils pour la glace ou encore des bâtons de ski, assure-toi qu’ils soient équipés d’un capuchon de protection.

• La zone d’aspiration (G) de l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC doit rester libre afin de pouvoir aspirer de l’air. Il n’est pas possible de transporter des objets au-dessus de la zone d’aspiration, comme une veste par exemple.

• N’attache pas d’objets au sac à dos

LiTRIC qui pourraient gêner l’ouverture du compartiment à airbag ou le remplissage de l’airbag LiTRIC.

• N’attache pas de skis sur les parties latérales du sac à dos LiTRIC. En attachant des skis sur les parties latérales, tu pourrais gêner le remplissage de l’airbag LiTRIC.

4.5. DÉCLENCHEMENT

DE L’AIRBAG

4.5.1. Déclenchement de l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC

Déclenche l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC immédiatement en cas d’avalanche.

Pour cela, tire la poignée de déclenchement (H) aussi fort que possible et par

à-coups. L’airbag LiTRIC se remplira tout seul. Normalement, l’airbag LiTRIC gonflé ne t’empêche pas de fuir l’avalanche ou de faire des manœuvres d’esquive.

N.B. :

Pour réagir de manière appropriée en situation réelle, il est nécessaire de s’entraîner régulièrement au déclenchement de l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC.

Le système LiTRIC doit être déclenché de manière proactive.

Pour être bien déclenché, le niveau de recharge doit être suffisant.

4.5.2. Comportement en cas d’avalanche

Renseigne-toi bien sur le comportement

à adopter en cas d’avalanche. En cas d’avalanche, tu dois en règle générale toujours essayer de te mettre en sécurité ou de fuir l’avalanche aussi rapidement que possible. Garde l’airbag d’avalanche

4.6. APRÈS UN DÉCLENCHEMENT

4.6.1. Évacuation de l’air

Pour pouvoir utiliser à nouveau l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC, tu dois d’abord

évacuer l’air de l’airbag LiTRIC (B) à l’aide du dispositif de dégonflement (Q) .

Pour cela, pousse le dispositif de dégonflement situé au niveau de la soufflerie

LiTRIC (A) dans l’ouverture prévue à cet effet. L’air peut maintenant être évacué de l’airbag. Laisse le dispositif de dégonflement dans la soufflerie jusqu’à avoir fini de ranger l’airbag LiTRIC, puis retire-le.

ATTENTION

Après avoir utilisé et rempli l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC en situation réelle d’avalanche, l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC doit être envoyé au SAV

(cf. paragraphe 5.3).

Évacuation de l’air

ATTENTION

Pour évacuer l’air, seul le dispositif de dégonflement d’origine peut être utilisé.

N’insère pas d’autres objets dans la valve du système LiTRIC !

4.6.2. Rangement de l’airbag

• Verrouille la poignée de déclenchement

(cf. paragraphe 4.4.1).

• Range l‘airbag LiTRIC (B) de manière

équilibrée dans le compartiment à airbag (K) comme indiqué sur les étapes

1 et 2.

• L‘air restant peut ainsi facilement être

évacué en appuyant sur l‘airbag.

• Ferme le verrouillage mécanique du compartiment à airbag (L) en le contractant comme indiqué sur les

étapes 3 et 4.

ATTENTION

Vérifie que le verrouillage soit bien enclenché!

• Tire l’une après l’autre les deux glissières de fermeture éclair jusqu’au verrouillage mécanique du compartiment

à airbag en haut (étape 5).

• Enfin, tire les deux glissières de fermeture éclair à nouveau vers le bas

(étapes 6 et 7).

ATTENTION

• L’airbag ne doit pas être rangé en

étant torsadé !

• L’airbag ne doit pas être rangé en

étant enroulé !

• L’airbag ne doit pas être rangé en

étant plié !

• L’airbag ne doit pas être coincé dans la fermeture éclair ou dans le verrouillage !

• Le compartiment à airbag ne doit pas

être bloqué !

• Si l’airbag est humide, fais-le sécher à l’air libre avant de le ranger dans son compartiment pour une longue durée

• Ne range pas d’autres objets en plus de l’airbag dans le compartiment à airbag !

• Le dispositif de dégonflement doit être retiré avant l’utilisation de la soufflerie

LiTRIC !

ATTENTION

• Assure-toi que les deux fermetures

éclair soient bien fermées.

• Les deux glissières de fermeture éclair doivent être dans la position la plus basse pour garantir une ouverture complète du compartiment à airbag.

4.6.3. Option de re-déclenchement

L’alimentation électrique pour le déclenchement est réalisée par les supercondensateurs de l’airbag d’avalanche

LiTRIC. Après un déclenchement, les supercondensateurs sont rechargés directement et automatiquement grâce à la batterie lithium-ion intégrée afin de permettre un autre déclenchement. Pour cela, l’airbag LiTRIC doit avoir été rangé, le système LiTRIC doit être allumé et la batterie lithium-ion doit être suffisamment chargée (cf. paragraphe 4.3). Le temps de recharge dure environ 25 minutes.

Dès que le système est prêt à être déclenché, un bref test du moteur est réalisé et les LED indiquent le niveau de recharge. Le système de l’airbag LiTRIC peut maintenant être déclenché à nouveau.

5. MAINTENANCE, STOCKAGE ET TRANSPORT

5.1. CONTRÔLE ANNUEL

5.2. MAINTENANCE

APRÈS UNE UTILISATION

DANS UNE AVALANCHE

Le système LiTRIC ne nécessite pas de maintenance spécifique. Contrôle son état au moins une fois par an :

• Déclenche-le au moins une fois par an pour le tester et t’entraîner.

• Vérifie que l’airbag, une fois rempli, reste bien complètement gonflé pendant au moins trois minutes.

• Vérifie bien que l’airbag ne soit pas endommagé et range-le à nouveau.

• Assure-toi que l’ensemble du système

LiTRIC reste complètement au sec pendant son stockage.

• Contrôle régulièrement que le sac à dos ne soit pas endommagé.

Chaque utilisation dans une avalanche peut affecter la résistance des matériaux et endommager l’airbag d’avalanche

LiTRIC. Il est donc indispensable qu’il soit contrôlé dans ce cas. Après une utilisation dans une avalanche, ton airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC doit être contrôlé par le fabricant (cf. paragraphe 5.3).

ATTENTION

Pour tout dommage, la fonctionnalité de l’airbag d’avalanche

LiTRIC doit être contrôlée par le fabricant (cf. paragraphe 5.3).

5.3. SAV 5.4. STOCKAGE

• Pour joindre le SAV, merci de te rendre sur www.ortovox.com/service.

• L’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC est prévu pour 50 déclenchements (cf. l’affichage par LED 4.3). Pour continuer à l’utiliser, le fabricant doit d’abord le contrôler. Si aucun contrôle n’a été réalisé par le fabricant après 50 déclenchements, l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC ne doit plus être utilisé (cf. paragraphe 5.5).

• Un contrôle de service doit être réalisé au plus tard cinq ans après la date d’achat.

• Lors de ce contrôle de service payant, l’ensemble de l’airbag d’avalanche

LiTRIC est contrôlé.

Pour être stocké pour une longue durée, pendant la période estivale par exemple, le système LiTRIC doit être réglé en mode

stockage afin de préserver la longévité de la batterie lithium-ion.

• Connecte le câble USB-C (R) au port

USB-C (D) et à une source de courant.

• Recharge le système complètement

(cf. paragraphe 4.1).

• Débranche maintenant le câble USB-C du port USB-C et appuie sur le bouton

Marche/Arrêt (C) dans un délai de

1 seconde. Maintiens le bouton Marche/

Arrêt enfoncé pendant au moins

1 seconde.

• Les trois LED (F) commencent alors à clignoter jusqu’à ce que le niveau de charge soit optimal pour un stockage de long terme. Ce processus peut prendre plusieurs jours. L’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC peut déjà être stocké en l’état. Le système s’éteindra automatiquement après avoir atteint le niveau de recharge prévu pour le stockage.

ATTENTION

Stocke le système LiTRIC dans un endroit sec, hors de portée des enfants et à température ambiante (environ 20°C).

Assure-toi que l’ensemble du système

LiTRIC reste complètement au sec pendant son stockage.

5.5. DURÉE DE VIE

Si les intervalles d’entretien et de maintenance recommandés (5.2, 5.3) et les contrôles annuels sont respectés, et si le système est manipulé de manière appropriée, le système LiTRIC a une durée de vie maximale de 10 ans à partir de sa date de fabrication ou de 50 déclenchements.

Sa durée de vie ne peut pas être déterminée avec précision étant donné qu’elle dépend de nombreux facteurs, tels que la fréquence d’utilisation, la prise en main, les influences climatiques, etc.

Le tableau suivant liste des points de repère pour situer la durée de vie de ton appareil :

Pour nettoyer l’airbag d’avalanche LiTRIC, n’utilise que de l’eau. Ne le nettoie pas avec des solvants ou des détergents.

Après son nettoyage, l’airbag d’avalanche

LiTRIC doit être mis complètement à sécher à température ambiante avant d’être réutilisé. Autrement, il risque de givrer.

Assure-toi que le système LiTRIC soit

éteint (cf. paragraphe 4.2) et que la poignée de déclenchement (H) soit verrouillée (cf. paragraphe 4.4.1) avant de prendre un moyen de transport comme un bus, un avion, un hélicoptère ou tout autre véhicule.

Pour voyager avec l’airbag d’avalanche

LiTRIC, aucun document de transport n’est nécessaire. Avec une puissance de

7,4 Wh, la batterie lithium-ion LiTRIC est soumise aux mêmes critères standard de voyage qu’un téléphone mobile, par exemple, ou qu’un autre petit appareil

électronique. Les supercondensateurs

LiTRIC sont des éléments passifs qui ne sont soumis à aucune limitation lors d’un voyage.

En tant que passager dans un moyen de transport aérien, il est possible d’emporter des appareils électroniques portables si les conditions suivantes sont respectées :

• ≤ 15 appareils par personne

2. DICHIARAZIONE DI NON

RESPONSABILITÀ

Gli airbag da valanga LiTRIC sono concepiti per resistere alla forza enorme che può manifestarsi in una valanga. Per questo motivo, tutti gli airbag da valanga

LiTRIC dispongono della certificazione TÜV/CE (DIN EN 16716) (vedi punto 6.).

Sono escluse la garanzia e la responsabilità per il funzionamento dell’airbag da valanga LiTRIC al di fuori delle proprietà certificate da ORTOVOX nei confronti dell’acquirente, a eccezione dei casi di responsabilità obbligatoria previsti dalla legge. Ciò si riferisce in particolare ai casi di uso improprio, tentativi di riparazione o sostituzioni da parte di persone non autorizzate, nonché all’utilizzo o al collegamento con componenti di terzi non autorizzati da ORTOVOX.

3. INTRODUZIONE

Il sistema LiTRIC è un sistema di soffiaggio alimentato elettricamente che permette attivazioni multiple da una sola carica di energia con un peso del prodotto molto leggero.

L’energia per l’attivazione viene fornita da supercondensatori.

I supercondensatori, dopo l’innesco, vengono ricaricati da una piccola batteria integrata agli ioni di litio per permettere un ulteriore attivazione dopo una breve attesa.

4. FUNZIONAMENTO

4.1. RICARICA

Solleva attentamente il coperchio (E) della porta USB-C (D) . Ricarica il dispositivo con il cavo USB-C in dotazione (R) tramite una porta USB (ad esempio un computer portatile) o con un carica-batterie USB

(vedi punto 1.).

I LED (F) indicano lo stato di carica

(vedi punto 4.3.).

Rimuovi il cavo USB-C subito dopo la carica e richiudi bene il coperchio per proteggere il sistema da polvere e umidità.

NOTA

È necessario ricaricare il sistema prima del primo utilizzo

ATTENZIONE

Fissa la maniglia di sgancio durante la carica (vedi punto 4.4.1.). L’airbag può essere attivato tirando la maniglia di sgancio mentre i LED sono accesi. Ciò si applica anche al processo di ricarica.

Non lasciare il cavo USB-C collegato quando stai utilizzando l’airbag da valanga LiTRIC in loco.

4.2. ACCENSIONE E SPEGNIMENTO

Solleva con attenzione il coperchio (E) .

Per accendere il dispositivo, tieni premuto il pulsante ON/OFF (C) per almeno

2 secondi.

Durante l’accensione, tutti e tre i LED (F) si accendono e viene emessa una sequenza crescente di suoni.

Il sistema LiTRIC effettua un autotest dell’elettronica a ogni accensione.

Dopo l’accensione, i supercondensatori vengono caricati dalla batteria agli ioni di litio fin quando non sono pronti per l’attivazione. La durata di questo procedimento dipende dal livello di carica del sistema. Se il sistema è stato caricato poco prima, il tempo di ricarica varia da pochi secondi a qualche minuto. Se il sistema LiTRIC è stato innescato poco prima, il tempo di ricarica è di circa

25 minuti.

Non appena il sistema è pronto per essere utilizzato, viene effettuato un breve test del motore e i LED indicano il livello di carica (vedi punto 4.3.). Ora il sistema airbag LiTRIC può essere innescato.

ATTENZIONE

Chiudi sempre bene il coperchio dopo l’accensione o lo spegnimento per proteggere il sistema da sporcizia e umidità.

Per spegnere il dispositivo, tieni premuto nuovamente il pulsante ON/OFF per almeno 2 secondi.

Al momento dello spegnimento, tutti e tre i LED si accendono e viene emessa una sequenza di suoni decrescenti.

4.4. UTILIZZO SUL CAMPO

Per l’utilizzo sul campo, il sistema LiTRIC deve essere acceso e la batteria deve essere sufficientemente carica (vedi punto

4.2./4.3.).

4.4.1. Funzionamento della maniglia di attivazione

4.4.3. Utilizzo del passante per le gambe

Se non viene utilizzato il passante per le gambe (M) , le forze che si verificano in una valanga potrebbero strappare via dal corpo lo zaino con l’airbag gonfiato.

Regola sulla cintura la lunghezza del passante per le gambe in modo che aderisca al corpo senza limitare la tua libertà di movimento.

Per garantire la sicurezza, quando si utilizza l’airbag da valanga LiTRIC è necessario utilizzare il passante per le gambe.

Il moschettone del passante per le gambe deve essere agganciato all’occhiello del passante (N) presente sulla cintura in vita (O) .

4.4.4. Come indossare lo zaino

LiTRIC

Indossare lo zaino LiTRIC (S) e stringere saldamente gli spallacci. Chiudere le due fibbie della cintura addominale e della cintura pettorale (O, P) una dopo l’altra, stringerle e assicurarsi che siano ben chiuse. Chiudi il passante per le gambe

(vedi punto 4.4.3.).

• I dispositivi ARTVA possono subire interferenze da parte di oggetti elettronici e magnetici. Per minimizzare le interferenze, indossa il dispositivo

ARTVA sulla parte frontale del corpo, massimizzando la distanza tra il dispositivo ARTVA e il sistema LiTRIC.

4.5. INNESCO DELL’AIRBAG

4.5.1. Attivazione dell’airbag da valanga LiTRIC

In caso di valanga, attiva immediatamente l’airbag da valanga LiTRIC. Per farlo, tira la maniglia di sgancio (H) il più forte possibile e con un colpo secco. L’airbag

LiTRIC si gonfierà autonomamente.

Solitamente L’airbag LiTRIC gonfiato non ti ostacolerà in eventuali manovre di fuga o di scampo.

NOTA

Per essere in grado di reagire correttamente in caso di emergenza, è necessario esercitarsi regolarmente nell’utilizzo dell’airbag da valanga LiTRIC.

4.6. DOPO L’INNESCO

4.5.2. Comportamento in caso di valanga

• L’aria residua può essere semplicemente schiacciata fuori dall’airbag.

• Chiudi il blocco meccanico del vano

4.6.3. Opzione di innesco multiplo

L’energia necessaria per l’attivazione è fornita dai supercondensatori dell’airbag da valanga LiTRIC. Dopo l’attivazione, i supercondensatori vengono ricaricati immediatamente e automaticamente dalla batteria integrata agli ioni di litio per una nuova attivazione. A tale scopo, l’airbag

LiTRIC deve essere stato impacchettato, il sistema LiTRIC deve essere acceso e la batteria agli ioni di litio deve essere sufficientemente carica (vedi punto 4.3.).

Il sistema LiTRIC non richiede quasi alcuna manutenzione. Esegui un controllo delle condizioni almeno una volta all’anno:

• Esegui un’attivazione almeno una volta all’anno per testare il sistema e per esercitarti.

• Verifica che l’airbag rimanga completamente gonfio per almeno 3 minuti.

• Controlla le condizioni dell’airbag per individuare eventuali danni e poi rimettilo via.

• Assicurati che l’intero sistema LiTRIC sia completamente asciutto prima di impacchettarlo.

• Controlla regolarmente le condizioni dello zaino per individuare eventuali danni.

Ogni utilizzo in valanga può portare l’airbag da valanga LiTRIC al proprio limite di sforzo e danneggiarlo. Di conseguenza, dopo una valanga è indispensabile effettuare un controllo. Dopo essere stato utilizzato in valanga, il tuo airbag da valanga LiTRIC deve essere revisionato dal produttore (vedi punto 5.3.).

5.3. SERVIZIO ASSISTENZA 5.4. STOCCAGGIO

• L’airbag da valanga LiTRIC è concepito per 50 attivazioni (vedi indicatori

LED 4.3.). Per continuare a utilizzarlo si consiglia di farlo controllare dal produttore. Se dopo 50 attivazioni non viene effettuato un controllo da parte del produttore, l’airbag da valanga LiTRIC non dovrebbe più essere utilizzato (vedi anche punto 5.5).

• Al più tardi 5 anni dopo la data d’acquisto dovrebbe essere effettuata una revisione.

• Il servizio di revisione a pagamento include l’ispezione dell’intero airbag da valanga LiTRIC.

Per uno stoccaggio prolungato, ad esempio durante i mesi estivi, il sistema

5.5. DURATA DI VITA

Osservando attentamente gli intervalli di manutenzione e revisione raccomandati

(5.2., 5.3.), i controlli annuali delle condizioni e il corretto utilizzo, il sistema LiTRIC ha una durata massima di 50 attivazioni, oppure di 10 anni dalla data di produzione.

Non è possibile determinare la durata esatta, dal momento che dipende da numerosi fattori come la frequenza d’uso, il trattamento, gli influssi climatici, ecc.

5.6. PULIZIA 5.7. TRASPORTO E VIAGGI

Utilizza solo acqua per pulire l’airbag da valanga LiTRIC. Non fare uso di solventi e detergenti. Dopo la pulizia, l’airbag da valanga LiTRIC deve essere completamente asciugato a temperatura ambiente prima di poter essere riutilizzato. Altrimenti c’è il rischio che si formi del ghiaccio.

Assicurati che il sistema LiTRIC sia spento

(vedi punto 4.2.) e che la maniglia di attivazione (H) sia bloccata (vedi punto

4.4.1.) prima di utilizzare mezzi di trasporto come autobus, aerei, elicotteri o altri veicoli.

Non sono necessari documenti di trasporto per viaggiare con l’airbag da valanga LiTRIC. Con una potenza pari a

7,4 Wh, la batteria agli ioni di litio LiTRIC è soggetta alle stesse condizioni standard di viaggio che si applicano per i telefoni cellulari o altri piccoli dispositivi elettronici. I supercondensatori LiTRIC sono elementi passivi che non sono soggetti ad alcuna restrizione per gli spostamenti.

Per i passeggeri in aereo, il trasporto di dispositivi elettronici portatili è permesso nel rispetto delle seguenti condizioni:
