Digi4Park® use a high sensitive ultrasonic eye connected directly inside of the sensor case to a little PCB board with an

electronic MicroProcessor, that process and encrypt the information about the distance to the obstacle. The information read is always real without interferences.

One analog sensor in most of cases is shorter because it doesn’t need any microelectronic component inside. The information that the sensor eye receives is send to the Unit Control in analog way as a difference of potential between 0-100 V.

The information could be affected by other components of the car.

Park® use ONLY DIGITAL SENSORS, with our own protocol that sends the information 100 times faster that any analog one. The Digital information goes by a internal Data BUS that leaves to us manage signals of 0,5 miliVoltiums. Thanks to that, Digi

The information is digitalized in the sensor and goes by one special bus to the Unit Control. The digital protocol makes that the information processed will be right, without any error.

The special digital bus that is used by Digi 4 Park® works with potentials of 0,5 milivoltiums, so the signal doesn’t generates interferences over other systems.

In CAN BUS Mode of Operation, Digi 4 Park® is connected directly to the CAN BUS and POWER of the car. All the signals that the interface needs are getting of the CAN and POWER of the car.

2 WIRES FOR EVERYTHING

The same Digi

4

Park® UNIT CONTROL can be used for Rear, Front or for Rear+Front installation, that means 4 or 4+4 sensors.

In order to connect sensors to UNIT CONTROL, we use 2 types of wires:

- REAR or FRONT Wiring (

This wire is used in order to Interconnect all sensors of one side of the car to Digi 4 Park® digital

BUS, giving at the same time, power to each sensor.

This wire ends in the BUMPER in IP64 connector in order to be connected to the EXTENSION

WIRING, Extension wire that it is the only wire that comes into the car.

This wire is used in order to Interconnect the REAR or FRONT sensor wiring with the Digi 4 Park®

Interface box. This wire ends in a 6 pin IP64 waterproof connector outside of the car.

The length of this wire is more 550 cm that leaves to you make installations for INDUSTRIAL

VEHICLES, that needs long lengths

Thanks to our wire MIRROR DESIGN, the REAR or FRONT wiring can be used interchangeably in the FRONT or the REAR of the car. That means if the installer has got 2 kits, and hasn’t got any extended kit, he can use the wires of the second kit in order to make a 4+4 installation. Also with the Extension Wiring.

Park® STRUCTURED WIRING

The wire that we have designed is used thinking in the installer, giving facilities in order to make easier the installation and maintenance process:

- The REAR wire and the FRONT wire for sensors is the SAME ONE

- The EXTENSION wire in order to connect REAR/FRONT wire to the ECU of Digi 4 Park® is the same

for Front and Rear.

- It is possible using 2 Rear Digi 4 Park® kits in order to build one REAR+FRONT kit. (After that you will have to order to your provider a simple extension kit for rebuild your incomplete kit)

- There is no way to commit any error in the installation keeping the simple drawing instructions.

- In case of accident it is possible to dismount the bumpers by disconnection the outside IP64 union connection between the REAR/FRONT wire and the Extension wire. So will no necessary goes into the car.

- The wire is protected by a shield that avoid external interferences of other devices over the information in the Digi 4 Park® internal BUS.

Even taking in mind that it is really simple to connect Digi 4 Park® in the car using the universal wires supplied by default, it is possible to order by option special P&P POWER/CAN wires to connect to each car.

- Using our Plug & Play wires you will not need cut any wire of the car.

- If you are a CAR MANUFACTURER or IMPORTER and you need that we develop any special P&P

wire, we can do it specially for you.

- Using P&P POWER/CAN wires you will avoid that your installers commit any error during the installation. So it is really interesting for official solution in order to decrease the support and incidences during the installation, even taking in mind that normal connection is really easy.

SECOND CAN BUS INCLUDED

- Digi 4 Park® also include a second CAN BUS lines port to be used in combination with original rear

Parking systems installed from factory. That leaves to us complement the original system to offer

Park® Unit Control – Everything is Included

The Parking Digi4Park® Control Unit is the first of the market that directly includes all necessary connections for mounting front and rear sensors and their respective accessories (Speakers /

Displays). The Control Unit incorporates Parking Button connection (With the button from factory) and a USB port to expand the database of compatible vehicles in the future or update the device software. The same unit also includes 2 sets of CAN BUS signals to cover all possible connections.

LED DISPLAY AND SENSOR CONNECTIONS

In SIDE A switchboard can find the respective LED Display connections front and rear sensors and are also knobs to control the volume of each of the speakers beep sound.

CAN BUS, POWER, SIGNAL AND UPDATE PORTS

On the other side (SIDE B) Unit Control includes a connector for the power signals and

CAN BUS Connector or Plug & Play and the Parking button connection, configuration switches, USB port and a Panel of 3 LEDS that visually informs whether the cAN BUS was connected correctly and if there are any loose sensor on each side of the vehicle and what number of sensor is faulty.

Switch Parking Button

Digi 4

Park® kits includes from factory in the box a universal and fashion PDC bottom in order to be installed in the dashboard of the car. This button has a lot of functions.

The Digi

4

Park® SWITCH BUTTON is used for manually activation and deactivation of the Parking function under 15 km/h. Also it has the important function to inform by the LED if the system is working or not. EVEN MORE it is also used in order to configure advance functions of Digi4Park® or inform about errors.

Manual Activation Function

The usual function of the PDC switch Button is the manual Activation or deactivation of the PDC function. So When the

Parking system is working, the LED of the button is ON and it is possible to press it in order to switch OFF. The opposite is also possible under 15 km/h. The button is designed for 200.000 cycles using and can be installed by simple stecker.

Towbar or Trailer Position Function

By LONG PRESS of the PDC Button it is possible entry in the Engineering mode. In this mode you can inform to

Park® that TOW is installed or not, in order to deactivate the central sensors, even more if a caravan or trailer is hooked, is also possible to deactivate completely the 4 REAR SENSORS. The LED of the Button will inform to you of this configuration.

System Status and Error Information

The Button incorporates a LED to inform about the Status (ON/OFF) of the system and at the same time to advise of error in any component or the situation of TOWBAR function.

Professional LED Display Digi

Park®

We have designed a high performance display with a professional finish in polished sheen that can be installed in all vehicles without changing the look and feel of the car. The display is optionally available as an accessory for Digi4Park® and can be mounted on the dashboard in front of and behind the roof, admitting and inverted mirror function or natural. Incorporates a 5 m cable. and has a size of 12 cm.

Remember that each Digi4Park Unit Control supports up to 2 DISPLAY LED at same time

The LED Display can be used for these operations:

OBSTACLE DETECTION AND DISTANCE

The display shows the distance to objects in both number [1.6] = 1.6 meters, and visually telling whether the obstacle is on either side of the vehicle.

Also have 2 colored to visually report the approximate distance to the obstacle and a small button for the Setting up.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The installation manual is a complete diagram for the user and the installer in order to use the Display to detect faults and knowing what sensor has a problem.

The report display for 2 seconds after turning the system on how many faulty sensors, and what positions are.

Remember that supports Metric, Imperial and Mirror Mode system. And that includes the fixings for the roof

General Information – Speakers, the art of Sound

Park® Diaphragm Speakers

In Digi4Park ® we have used Diaphragm speakers 8 Oh and 0.5 W for acoustically inform the distance to obstacles. This might initially seem something without any importance, but it is not true. The original systems use the same speaker technology than us, because this type of speaker is capable of generating infinite frequency sound (especially low), different volume, etc.. That's why the sound of our ads is clean and clear with INDEPENDENT FREQUENCY for the back and front areas. For using Diaphragm Speakers it is also necessary that the Electronic of the Unit Control will be designed for that purpose.

INDEPENDENT SOUND ADJUSTMENT

On the control panel of Digi4Park ® there are two potentiometers which allow volume control of each of the two speakers, so you can adjust the sound to each vehicle type and installation.

Each of the two speakers can be connected to the wiring POWER /

CAN. In the cable are marked FRONT / REAR Speaker positions.

TWO FREQUENCY (FRONT AND REAR)

We use two different frequencies, one for REAR SENSORS (more

GRAVE) and one for the SENSORS FRONT (more ACUTE). So the driver can clearly differentiate where reporting comes when he has both sensors areas connected.

The piezoelectric speaker is a speaker type based on the properties of piezoelectric crystals (polyester or ceramic), when this is applied to a voltage deform Thanks to this property, it is possible creates sound if you put something able to channel and make small sound box.

These speakers are simple and cheap also consume very little.

His big drawback is that they are unable to reproduce low

frequencies, so if you need more bass need to use other type of speakers, like Digi 4 Park® ones.

Park® A DIFFERENT WAY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS IN INSTALLATION

Digi 4 Park® includes two different systems to detect errors for the end user or during installation. In both cases, our idea is to independently know where there is a problem and how to recognize it.

INSTALLATIONS WITHOUT GRAPHIC LED DISPLAY

In this case, two detection channels:

• If Display is available, it will display the number of faulty sensors and their location (eg E2 - »2 faulty sensors). After 2 sec. will operate normally.

• In addition the unit itself has 2 LEDs (green and red) for the FRONT and for the

REAR to flash as many times as the number of faulty sensor has been located

(eg 3 blinks mean error in the sensor 3

INSTALACIONES GRAPHIC RADIO UNIT

When you can see the sensors on the screen of the vehicle, it is possible to see faulty sensors during the 2 seconds immediately after the system is activated. The faulty sensor will be shown as full contact.

If one of the sensors is not working, will not be represented in that image.

Park® Drill Kit – The easiest way to make perfect holes in the Bumper

Whether you want to install the Digi4Park® Parking sensors on the outside of the bumper as well as inside, it is really important to make the holes with the best precision and best finish, without damage in the bumper paint.

In order to do that, Digi 4 Park® offers to you the Drill Kit (Reference: D4PTL14M) that includes a Professional

Drill tool Made in IRON for cold works for making 14mm and 18mm holes. The iron that we have used is IRON

F521 - DIN X 210 CR 12 - UNE 36072:1954.

This Drill Tools is the only one of the market that have a CHROME Bath that quantize to you a long life against oxidation. An for the future you can get the cutting head separately if you broke the edge.

Installation, Painting

Sensors can be painted and we provide the paint tools

To accomplish this task without problems Digi4Park boxes incorporate an internal template that can punch using the cutting tool

D4PTL14M, fix sensors on the template and paint the sensors without staining threaded system.

Upon opening the Digi4Park® box will find a template attached to sensors placed on it. Just have to use the cutter tool D4PTL14M and follow the steps that tells the document PAINTED SENSORS.

Remember that the sensors are already factory painted color
