MiniPOS - simple mobile payments and card acceptance
Welcome to MiniPOS.
Thank you for purchasing MiniPOS for your business - the revolutionary mobile phone based Point of Sale terminal. You will soon be enjoying the freedom to accept card payments from you customers wherever you are, and your business is sure to benefit from this mobility.
How does it work?
MiniPOS uses an application (“app”) on your Android device to process mobile, credit and (coming after Q2 2016) Maestro debit card transactions, in conjunction with a small PIN pad which is linked using secured Bluetooth wireless technology.
It’s this simple:
1. You enter the amount you wish to charge your customer into the app, add description or choose it from the list.
2. Enter the card data or choose to initiate the PIN pad reader.
3. If you choose to initiate the PIN pad reader, your customers insert their card into your PIN pad and authenticate the transactions using their PIN, just like they would with any other PoS terminal. Alternativly your customer can use swipe to transfer card data to the app or choose to enters card data manually (Virtual Terminal Mode).
4. Depending on your chosen scenario, app displays the signature screen where your customer signs for the purchase
(SWIPE or Virtual Terminal Mode) and clicks »ACCEPT AND SIGN« to accept the terms, which triggers the app to connects to PayWiser via the internet to get bank authorisation for the transaction.
The whole process only takes a maximum of 30 seconds and is fully secure. As far as your customer is concerned it’s exactly the same process as paying for something in a shop, with some additional options, should you and your customer choose to use them (SWIPE or manual entry, signing for the purchase).
The MiniPOS application is simple to install on your Android device. This guide will help get you up and running as quickly as possible.
What do I need?
In order to process live card transactions you’ll need to arrange the following:
1. Sign-up the company with PayWiser processing gateway and get a merchant account with Clearhaus acquiring bank.
2. A Datecs Bluepad50 PinPad.
3. Download and configure the MiniPOS application (app) from the App store or provided link
4. POS 58mm bluetooth printer (optional)

Basic requirements
Merchant account
This is a special card accepting account through which the money from transactions (from your customers’ cards) will be transferred into your bank account.
API key
API key represents the link to your Merchant ID (MID or Merchant Identification Number with your acquirer) on the
MiniPOS account.
PIN pad
The MiniPOS system can be used with the Bluepad50, BluePad 500 and other units manufactured by Datecs or SZPOS manufacturer. Other manufactures will be added.
Take great care of the PIN pad as the security of the MiniPOS system depends upon it. It is designed with
“tamper resistant, tamper evident” technology which means that if it is ever opened or dismantled (this could happen if it is dropped), it will cease to work, permanently. Your customers need to trust the PIN pad as they will be inserting their cards and entering PINs into it, so it should be kept clean and protected carefully when not in use.
Additionaly, make sure PIN pad never completly runs out of batter, since this would erase the secure crypto keys and the device would be rendered inoperable and would have to be sent back to manufacturer to restore the crypto keys. Typically it takes 25 days in storage, after low battery warning for this to occur, so never store your PIN pad for longer periods of time without first fully charging it.
Android device
Android device should run at least OS v4.4 or newer. Make sure it supports resolution of 720 x 1280 px or highe, bluetooth version 1.2 and and it has sufficient free storage.
Security
Data transfer
All communication between involved parties is secured and encrypted with all Payment Security Industry Data Security
Standards (PCI DSS).
Local and payment gateway data storage
At no times does any part of the system, neither Android app, or any part MiniPOS and PayWiser system, store, cache or keep any sensitive data like PAN, CVV etc. Any information stored is irreversibly deprived of information that could pose a breach of PCI DSS standards.
App security
All app settings are stored encrypted and are only accessible to the app itself. MiniPOS will refuse to run on rooted Android device in order to prevent any kind of tampering.

MiniPOS will appear to be integrated in your solution and you will have full control over the process and will receive full result events.
Implementation
If you have an Android POS application and would like to enable your customers with mobile and card payments in just a few days, leave the hard work to us and rip all the benefits.
We will provide you with instructions, code samples and support. When you finish the implementations we will test and certify your implementation.
