Welcome to XimTouch Access Control System, a powerful and user-friendly Windows-based application software that can support up to 64 door controllers. The application software also provides time and attendance management solution.
1.3: System Requirement
Before you install XimTouch Access Control System, ensure that the system you choose meets the following requirements:

Chapter 2: Installation Procedures
Beginning the installation process:
1. Insert the CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.
2. Double-click the My Computer icon.
3. Double-click the icon for the CD-ROM drive.
4. Double-click the file “XimTouch Setup.exe”.
5. Click Next button to go to the next step.

Chapter 3: Getting Started
To run XimTouch Access Control System:
Click Start, point to Programs, point to XimTouch and then click XimTouch; or
Double-click the XimTouch icon on desktop.
System Login:
Click Login command icon.
Enter your ID and password. The default user ID and password are “Admin”.
The Serial Port Setting dialog box will pop up for a valid login.
Select the serial port number through which the computer connects with the XimTouch RS232-to-
RS485 converter.
Click OK button.

4.1: Event List
Click Event List command icon to view event list. Event list will display all the latest transaction events of XimTouch Access Control System and every door controller installed. Besides, card user detail information will also be shown below event list for any valid registered user card flash.

Click Controller List command icon to view controller list. Controller list will display every controller installed and its status as well. Besides, the command feedback for communication between
XimTouch Access Control System and controller will also be shown below controller list.
There are 4 line buttons (Line 0 to 3) to click in order to view for the controller installed in each line.
Click Scan command icon to auto-search for any door controller installed at Line 0.

5.1: File
5.1.1: Login
XimTouch Access Control System User Manual
To login to XimTouch Access Control System. The default user ID and password are “Admin”.
Both user ID and password are case sensitive.
5.1.2: Logout
To logout from XimTouch Access Control System, user is required to enter the password. After logout, most of the command functions will be disabled. However, the upcoming events will still be updated.
5.1.3: Edit User Password
To edit user password, user is required to enter the old password firstly.
Secondly, user is required to enter the new password.

Lastly, user is required to re-enter the new password in order to verify it.
5.1.4: Exit

5.2: System Setup

5.2.1: Company Setting
Get Logo:
To upload the company report logo, which will be shown at report header. The logo must be in 100x100 pixels bitmap format.
Erase Logo:
To erase the company report logo.
Update:
To update the company name, which will be shown at report header.
Close:
To close Company Setting dialog box.
5.2.2: Serial Port Setting
Select the serial port number through which the computer connects with the XimTouch
RS232-to-RS485 converter.

There are 60 days of holiday setting that can be defined.

5.2.4: Time Set Setting
There are 24 Time Set records (Time Set 00-23). By default, 2 Time Set records are preassigned:

Time Zone is defined by Time Set for each day of week and holiday. There are 24 Time Zone records (Time Zone 00-23). By default, 2 Time Zone records are pre-assigned:

5.2.6: Access Level Setting
Access Level is defined by Time Zone for each door controller installed. With this function, user can control and monitor easily who has access to which door, and when. There are 100
Access Levels (Access Level 00-99). By default, 2 Access Levels are pre-assigned:

Disable card access to all doors at all time
Access Level 01
00:00 to 23:59 Access Level

XimTouch Access Control System User Manual
XimTouch Access Control System supports up to maximum of 64 controllers with 4 lines. Each line can support 16 controllers. The controller is addressed by “Line No” and “Unit No”.

Add:
XimTouch Access Control System User Manual
C2000 TCP/IP-RS485 converter and dongle are required to Enable IP for Network Interface
Connection. Enter IP address and port number of C2000 converter, which can be set by
“C2000 Setting” software.
To add a Controller record.
Door Controller Setting:
Controller: Enter a unique name for the controller installed.
Description: Enter description of the controller installed.
IP Address: Enter IP address of the C2000 converter (Enable IP).
Port No: Enter port number of the C2000 converter (Enable IP).
Line No: Enter line number (0-3) of the controller installed.
Unit No: Enter terminal ID (0-15) of the controller installed.
Lock Release Time: The controller will release the door lock according to the lock release time (00-99 sec) if there is a valid entry.
Door Open Time: If the door is open more than the door open time (00-99 sec), then the buzzer will generate beep sound.
Card + PIN Time Zone: During this Time Zone, the user is required to flash the card followed by PIN number in order to open the door.
AntiPassback Time Zone: During this Time Zone, the controller will prevent card user from entering the same area twice.
Site Code: Enter 4-digit site code printed on card. It’s used to prevent access of other card with same card number. Support up to 3 Site Codes.
Door PIN: Enter 6-digit door PIN number for door open with PIN entry. Support up to 10 door PIN numbers.

XimTouch Access Control System User Manual
Shift Setting is used to define employee working hours for each day of week and holiday.
XimTouch Access Control System comes with a simple time and attendance reporting, which will automatically calculate for Early In, Early Out, Late In, Late Out, Absentee and Over Time reports of each card user installed.

Save the opened event log file to CSV (“Comma Separated Value”) file format, which can be viewed by Microsoft Excel.

Print event log, which can be filtered by date, time, card number and event type.

Choose a controller that you want to read the setting from in Controller List box.

5.5.2: Write Setting
Write Settings to Controller:
To write Time Set, Time Zone, Holiday and Door Controller settings to Controller.
Reset AntiPassback:
To clear selected card user antipassback flag.
Clear Card User List:
To delete all card users from controller.
Delete Card User:
To delete selected card user from controller.

Update Card User:
To update selected card user to controller.
Cold Start:
To reset clear all card users and reset to default factory settings.

Security OFF:
To disable door security mode. The controller will always release the door lock.
Security ON:
To enable door security mode.
Manual Release:
To manually release the door lock.

Chapter 6: Backup & Restore
After login for the first time, XimTouch Access Control System will auto-create 4 folders:
1. EvtLog – To store event log files
2. PhoLog – To store photos
3. SysLog – To store system and database setting
4. TmsLog – To store attendance log files
You should backup these folders on a regular basis. The backup process copies folders to a safe place
(such as external hard disk or CD) so that even if your computer fails, you won’t lose them.
Restore process copies and pastes these folder back into folder “C:\XimTouch”. XimTouch Access
Control System will restore the last saved event log files, photos, system and database settings, and attendance log files.
