Zmodo IXD1D-WAC wireless camera Quick Start Guide

The Zmodo IXD1D-WAC wireless camera allows you to monitor your home or business remotely from your smartphone. It connects to your Wi-Fi network and streams live video directly to your Zsight app. You can also record videos and view them later. The camera has a built-in motion detection feature that sends you notifications when it detects movement. You can also use the camera to make two-way audio calls.

You will need:

A smartphone (Android™ (v.2.3 or newer) or iPhone , iPad , iPod touch (v6 or newer) ), a Zmodo camera, and a WiFi internet connection.

Step 1

Place your Zmodo camera where you would like to use it, making sure that there is a strong WiFi connection, and plug it into a power outlet using the provided power adapter.

Connect your smartphone to your WiFi network.

Step 2

Download the Zsight App from the

Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Open the app and sign up to create a free Zsight account.

Click “+” icon on top right corner, choose

“SmartLink” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.

1.How to view my camera from PC?

Method 1: View on webpage via MeShare Cloud Platform

Go to website https://user.meshare.com/ on your browser and login with your Zsight user ID. You shall then see your device list on the webpage.

(User ID can be registered on Zsight APP or MeShare Cloud Platform)

Method 2: View your camera with PC Zviewer software. (This works only when your PC is on the same local area network as your camera).

Download and Install PC Zviewer from, http://surveillance.zmodo.com/support-software.

Launch PC Zviewer and login with default ID admin with password 111111. Select LAN Search and click Search. You shall then see all the cameras in your LAN. Click Add to add them into your list. Go back to Live Video to view your cameras.

2.Why it says “the device has been added”?

One camera can only be bundled with one user account. If you see this, it means your camera has been bound to another user ID.

If that ID was your old Zsight account, please log into the Zsight App with it.

You should see the camera in your device list. Hold and delete the camera from your list. Then your device is free to be added to any user's device list again.

If you forgot your original account ID or password, or you've never added the camera with any user account before. Please contact customer service for unbinding. You will be required to offer the device ID.

3.How to reconnect my camera to Internet if it's disconnected or my network environment changed?

On the back of camera, there is a small hole with RESET button inside.

Use a pin to reset the camera by holding the button till the indicator light starts blinking green.

Make sure your mobile device is connected to your WiFi. Launch the Zsight

App, click the “+” icon on the top right corner, choose “SmartLink”. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

WiFi network. Please do NOT turn off or unplug the camera.

The camera can't connect to the WiFi. Why?

You may have entered the password incorrectly. Try re-entering your WiFi password.

You may not have a working internal connection. Check to see if your router is connected to the Internet. Try resetting your camera by pressing the reset pinhole on the back of the camera. Hold the button until the light turns blinking green. Then begin the setup procedure again.

How can I view my camera on my PC?
You can view your camera on your PC either by using the MeShare Cloud Platform or by using the Zviewer software. For Zviewer software, your PC and camera need to be on the same local area network.
Why does it say “the device has been added”?
This means that your camera has already been bundled with another user's account. You need to unbind the camera from the previous user by logging into their Zsight App and removing the camera from their list. If you do not know the previous user's information, you will need to contact Zmodo customer service.
How can I reconnect my camera to the internet if it's disconnected or my network environment changed?
You can reconnect your camera to the internet by resetting it. To do this, use a pin to press the RESET button on the back of the camera until the light begins blinking green. Then, follow the on-screen instructions in the Zsight App to complete the setup process.
