GENANO 310 PURIFICATION DEVICE FOR INDOOR CLIMATE
The GENANO 310 is an air purification device based on Genano’s unique MFI™ system.
Genano’s patented MFI removes even the smallest impurities from indoor air. These impurities
can consist of viruses, bacteria, mould spores, animal dander as well as traffic originated soot.
These ultra fine-particles (UFP) have recently been recognized to constitute a health hazard.
UFP’s easily penetrate into bronchial regions and can pass directly into the blood circulatory system. In many cases, fine-particles are the origin for cardiac and vascular discomfort, cancer and
even premature death.
The MFI™ system is equipped with a gas absorber for the removal of harmful gases and ozone.
The continued use and maintenance of the 310 air purifier will ensure you a comfortable breathing
environment. The GENANO 310 is self-cleaning and requires only regular filling of Genano washing fluid + water and to regularly empty the dirty flush water basin. Clean the basin soon after the
washing if you want to ensure that there will not grow any unwanted growing material.
The GENANO 310 air purifier has been tested by independent certification organizations. These
experts have officially certified that the cleaning results exceed 98% for atmospheric particles and
microbs in the 0.003-10µm range.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

OPERATION OF THE DEVICE
NORMAL OPERATION
Genano 310 is cleaning air when OK-light is illuminated.
The device efficiently collects atmospheric particles on the collection surfaces. Washing of
the collection surfaces takes place automatically once a week. Important! It is recommended to let the unit be continuously ON to ensure the weekly washing.
During the flushing of the collection surface the green “WASH” light is on. After the flushing
cycle has ended the GENANO310 starts its drying period. During the drying cycle the 310 is
silent and the green “WASH” light on.
Do not open the door immediately after the wash cycle. Allow time for the washing liquid
to drain into the basin.

The washing cycle lasts about 5-10 seconds, the drying period can vary (1min – 8 hours)
*If the unit is very wet inside it could take longer to dry).
*If the machine does not restart after a few hours then call your service representative.
NOTE: It is normal that the “WASH” light is on after the device has completed flushing and
the device is totally quiet. The GENANO 310 continues its normal air cleaning operation
automatically when the drying period is over.
NOTE: Clean the basin after the washing operations if you want to ensure that there will not
remain any harmful material.
RUNNING OUT OF WASHING LIQUID
The device is unable to perform the automatic washing function, if the container has run
out of water*
The yellow “FILL WATER” light is on (See signal lights)
The 310 will continue its normal air cleaning operation even if one automatic wash cycle is
missed due to a lack of washing mixture. However, the device stops the air-cleaning operation if washing liquid/water is still not added after week to the wash water container.
Fill up the water container according to instructions given in the info sheet. Do not
switch the unit OFF.
The yellow “FILL WATER” light will be lit until the water container is filled.
The device turns ON only after the filling up of the water container with the washing mixture.
1. Add washing mixture to the water container according to the installation instructions
2. Empty and clean the flush water basin if necessary
3. Shut the bottom basin.
The device automatically starts the normal air cleaning operation after the bottom basin is
closed. The “FILL WATER” light turns off and green OK light illuminates again.
If the bottom basin is not closed during the operation, the green “CLOSE BASIN”
light illuminates and the air cleaning operation is turned off automatically.
The device automatically continues normal operation when the bottom basin is closed and
the “CLOSE BASIN” light turns off.

ERROR/SERVICE
Record all steps taken when the service light comes on. Include recent events,
moves and what lights were on before the service light came on. This will help
your Genano service representative identify and solve the problem quicker.
If the normal operation is disturbed, the red “ERROR/SERVICE” light is continuously lit. If
the “ERROR/SERVICE” light is on then:
1. Check that there is water in the water container
2. Check that the basin door in closed
3. Perform power wash
If the “ERROR/SERVICE” light has still not gone out then reset unit (see instructions below).
If “ERROR/SERVICE” light is still on check the troubleshooting guide for a possible solution.
If no solution can be found then contact an authorised Genano service representative.
RESETTING PROGRAM SETTINGS
1. Switch the unit OFF and wait about 20 seconds.
2. Switch ON.
POWER WASH
The power wash function can be performed by using the power wash switch (check “c” operation switches on page 5). This operation is useful if the air cleaning operation is interrupted due to increased dirtiness of the collection surface. The flashing “ERROR/SERVICE”
light illustrates the device is extremely dirty.
It is recommended that the power wash be performed every 6 months even if no operational problems have occurred.
Perform the Power Wash as follows:
1. Empty the flush water basin and fill the wash water container before performing the
power wash.
2. Press the power wash switch and hold it down until the 310 machine starts the wash cycle (about 5 seconds)
The Power wash lasts about 5 seconds. Following the power wash the “AUTOMATIC
WASH/DRYING” light is on while the machine dries. The drying cycle can last a few
minutes or longer depending on how damp the machine is.
Do not open the door immediately after the wash cycle. Allow time for the washing
liquid to drain into the basin.
3. Once the drying cycle is complete the unit will resume normal operation
