The Marcador de PimPon is a PC application designed to emulate the functionality of a conventional table tennis scorekeeper. This application offers several advantages over traditional scorekeepers, including an autoscorer mode and the ability to monitor requested timeouts and card statuses. Welcome to ‘Marcador de PimPon’

Marcador de PimPon is a PC application that emulates the functionality of a conventional marker. It facilitates the performance of an umpire against a table tennis competition. Ping pong marker incorporates significant advantages respect the traditional marker.

It allows you to arbitrate any kind of table tennis competition. Its main features are:

It covers all the features of the traditional marker.

Autoscorer mode, push-buttons, without the need for third-party management.

It monitors the status of requested times.

It controls card status.

It displays the time.

Displays the names of players and clubs.

Meeting or party mode.

Double or single mode.

It takes self-control of server in all modalities.

It takes self-control subtracter in doubles.

It contains meeting global markers.

Indicator of end-game.

Implementation of the rule of activation

Project.

PimPonSoft software is a long-range project. This is only an application within that aims to cover the entire project of PimPonSoft. Depending on donations, more resources will be devoted, and will be expanding the range of applications. It is also important that in addition to providing monetary support is provide ideas and needs.

License donationware

Donationware is a licensing for software model. This program has been realized under that license. Then three definitions of the license are included for their better understanding.

Installation program

To download the program we must go to the official website. The files to download are files compressed to unzip them only necessary double click on them. There are two versions to download the program:

Portable version: If you have installed the .net framework version 4

2.1

Hardware.

To operate marcador application it is necessary to have a PC, one desktop either or one laptop. The computer must have installed a Windows

USB port free in case of using the adapter.

When it comes to locating the computer user must choose the way that best suits your needs. The recommendation that is made is the locate PC on one end of the ping pong table on the axis of the network, and at the other end the person that controls the program will be located. The user must have at hand well a keyboard or a mouse, they can be wireless or have a long cable. In this way will have better visibility on all sides.

Another mounting option is the location of the computer in a comfortable position for the referee, where can handle it easily. We will then connect the video output to another device auxiliary of large size, screen, TV, projector, etc. It should the latter be located so that it is visible to all.

2.2

Installation of the buttons on the USB adapter.

The use and installation of push-buttons is optional. The USB adapter is supplied without cables or buttons. Recommended cable thin and malleable, it has to have at least two conductors, telephone or network (UTP/STP) type.

For the buttons is recommended to buy two buttons of doorbell not recessed, surface. These are practical and easy to find.

Glossary

For the understanding of this manual and extracted in part from the regulation include the following definitions:

Point or both: somewhat is a play whose result is scored.

Server: is the player who has to hit the ball on a play in the first place.

Subtracter: is the player who has hit second ball in a play.

Game: win a game the player or couple who first reaches so many 11, except when both players or pairs get 10 scores; in this case, you will win the game the first player or partner who subsequently obtains 2 points difference.

Flow of marcador

The operational of the marker can be controlled using keyboard, mouse or using buttons with the Autoscorer functionality.

The main screen is 'Marker'. This screen controls all operations. In addition to marker is following secondary character screens:

Credits.

3.1

Marker (main)

This is the screen that controls all the mechanics of the program.

The scoreboard screen has the following items listed below:

: Score. Indicates the score of each player.

: Games. Indicates the number of games won by each player.

: Cards/time. Using the background color (white, yellow and red) indicates cards that each player has shown. By the appearance of a T in the middle of the box will indicate if you have requested time each player.

: Sets. " Indicates the number of games won for each team.

: Names, player-2nd 1st player - team. They show the corresponding names in each box.

: Clock. It tells time.

: Serve. The side in which it appears the ball indicates the player that make the throw-in. This will be shown with the 0-0. Doubles player on the side of the ball placed first will be the server and the player in first place on the opposite side will be the subtracter. During the development of the game, servers and receiver will be located in the correct order.

: change of field, start of game, party, exit and credits start. Each of these buttons acts on the functionalities described in subsequent sections.

: Mute. Activates / deactivates the voice saying.

To access the program configuration options it is to click on any of the boxes to the names of players or clubs. Keyboard method is to press the key 'w' or

'W'.

To access the credits screen is to click on the button 'Credits'.

3.2

Welcome

The Welcome screen is activated to run the program.

In this screen you can choose the language in which we will work with the application. If you press any key on the keyboard, any USB adapter or click

Marcador de PimPon de Bellvitge PimPonSoft outside the flags button the application will select language by default. The default language is which will be selected in the configuration by default. This can tell by noting which of the flags have a blue border.

To select another language that is not the of by default will have to click on the corresponding flag. Both to change the language by default as the language of work from this screen must go to the Options window.

3.3

Options window

In this screen, all marker options are configured and managed settings default. This window consists of three tabs. At the bottom we can see a fixed area for all tabs.

In the fixed area we can 'load' configuration by default, this will change the options to those contained in the configuration by default. We can also 'keep out' the configuration by default, this button will change the settings default options that you have configured on the application at that moment.

With the 'Validate options' button closes the Options window applying changes that we have made the tabs of settings options.

The 'Discard changes' button also closes the Options window but not to apply any changes that they have made in the settings tabs. If you press any button on the buttons of the USB adapter into the 'Game' or 'phrases and language' tabs to click on validate options shall be equivalent.

3.3.1

Game

This tab contains the following options:

Meeting: meeting mode. Activates the fields of 'Equipment' and also 'Parties' controls on the scoreboard. This must be marked in the case of a meeting.

Double game: activates the double game. Active players 'B' and 'Y' in the options screen and scoreboard.

Enable rule of acceleration: it starts the acceleration rule, applying in the flow of change and saying the characteristics that this rule incorporates for service changes.

Teams and players: these boxes will introduce the names of teams and players which will be displayed on the scoreboard screen.

3.3.2

Phrases and files

This tab contains the following options:

Mute: mute mode enabled. When the box is not marked active the advertisements. If the box is checked, will not play any speech.

Speech changes: active in the advertisements that are related to the changes, servers, and restadores.

Initial sound: activates the initial sound that is played when you start the program.

Language: allows to select the working language of the application.

USB

This tab is intended to check the connection of the USB adapter:

State: indicates whether the adapter is connected or disconnected.

Beats and reset boxes:The boxes are marked when we carry out actions on the buttons corresponding to each box. An action becomes unchecked it.

Clean: leave all the actions in the white box.

3.4

Credits

You can access it by clicking on the button 'Credits' in the marker screen. To get out of it and move on to the next screen, the screen marker, we validate through a mouse click anywhere on the screen, pressing any button by keyboard or USB adapter button. This screen shows the data from the creators of this project and version of the application.

Exit confirmation

Following exit confirmation screen will click the button exit or press the key escape on the keyboard while in the screen marker appear. Pressing any button by keyboard or button of the USB adapter will be interpreted as a

'No'.

3.6

Inherent to bookmark options

As indicated in the technical regulations to manage the automatic control of remove and end of game and game, are the following conditions:

Control modes

The operational of the marker can be controlled using keyboard, mouse, or buttons on the adapter USB (Autoscorer mode).

The interactivity between the screens, welcome, credits and options have been detailed in the preceding paragraphs. The following sections shows how to control the scoreboard screen.

4.1

Marcador keyboard control

The program controls can be through the keyboard of the computer. Keys played by each are detailed below:

' 1 'and'.': It increases the score of the player on the left at one point.

'2' and '_': It increases the score of the player on the right at one point.

'4': Decreases the score of the player from the left point down to zero.

'5': Decreases the score of the player on the right point down to zero.

'6': It increases the games the player on the left.

'7': It increases the player on the right games.

'8': It increases the team on the left.

'9': It increases the team's right.

'R' or 'r': Switch the T in the downtime of the player on the left box.

'T ' or 't': Switch the T in the downtime of the player on the right box.

'F' or 'f': Switches the color at the time of the player on the left box, indicating the cards shown, ninguna-Amarilla - red.

'G' or 'g': Switches the color on the box of the player on the right time, indicating the cards shown, ninguna-Amarilla - red.

's ' or 's' (server): Switches the service by switching between the different options of serve in the match, double or single.

'C' or 'c' (field change): It changes the field, i.e. it switches the players name, score, kick, games, cards and times. This is interesting to locate each player before the game and in the change of field in a tiebreak.

'Z' or 'z' (home game): Leave all values of first refusal without number and without ball remove the on-screen indicator. It retains the rest of data.

'X' or 'x' (home party): It puts everything to zero, points and games, party home. It retains data equipment and meeting (parties).

' O'o 'o' (options): It brings to the screen of program options.

'H' or 'h' (credits): It brings to the screen of credits.

' Or 'm' (Mute): activates / deactivates the voice saying.

'ESC': Quit the program. Previous validation.

4.2

Marcador mouse control

The program controls can be through the computer's mouse.

In function in that area is click a screen where we are and actions will be as follows:

By clicking on the grope of each player value is incremented by one unit.

If you perform a right button click will decrease the score on a drive.

By clicking on each player plays the value increases in a unit. If you perform a right button click will decrease the score on a drive.

By clicking on any of the names of the players or in the names of club it brings to the screen of program options.

By clicking on the 'Change of field' box change the field, i.e., it switches the players name, score, kick, games, cards and downtimes.

This is interesting to locate each player before the game and in the change of field in a tie-break.

By clicking on the checkbox 'Start game': reset to zero points, home game. It retains the rest of data.

By clicking on the checkbox 'Sign out': quit the program. Prior validation.

By clicking on the 'Mute'box: activates / deactivates the voice saying.

4.3

AutoScorer

Another advantage of the USB adapter is the possibility of using it for

'Autoscorer' mode, in that mode is enabled the ability to arbitrate without referee. In mode 'Autoscorer' are the players themselves who control the score of marker management. To control the score two buttons must be connected to the USB adapter, it is recommended that these buttons are large for easy handling. Two typical doorbell buttons are ideal. These must be connected by two wires. Both cables and adapters are not supplied with the adapter.

The Pulsations of the buttons can be short, long or continuous.

Short press (less than 200 ms): It increases the score of the player opponent.

Long press (between 200 ms and 500 ms): Decrease the score itself.

Continuous pulse: Decrease of continuously own probing.

Simultaneous long press (the two buttons at the same time): It has the same effect as the Start button game. Leave all values of first refusal without number and without ball remove the on-screen indicator.

It retains the rest of data.

Audio options, voice over

The program has the ability to play audio through the phrases relating to arbitration of a table tennis competition.

What are the system requirements for Marcador de PimPon?

How do I use the Autoscorer mode?
To use the Autoscorer mode, you will need to connect two buttons to the USB adapter. Each button should be connected by two wires. The adapter itself does not come with cables or buttons. How do I change the language settings?
You can change the language settings in the Options window. To access the Options window, click on any of the boxes next to the player or club names. You can also access the Options window by pressing the 'w' or 'W' keys on the keyboard. In the Options window, go to the 'Phrases and Files' tab and select the language you would like to use.
