Go to the web address of the Elastix Server Login page. The web address is determined by the customer, for this guide we have used the IP address 192.168.1.75 2. On the Login page, type the username and password for an administrative user into the Username and Password fields, see Figure 4-1. The username and password are determined by the customer. Figure 4-1. Login 3. Press Enter or click on the Submit button to go to Elastix’s Dashboard 4. Once inside, click on the PBX tab on the menu at the top of the screen Figure 4-2. Dashboard 5. Click on the Submit button to add an extension, see Figure 4-3. This will take you to the Add SIP Extension page. 3 PaloSanto Solutions Grandstream GXV3500 and Elastix Server Setup Guide Figure 4-3. On the Add SIP Extension page (Figure 4-4), fill in the following information: • User Extension (301 in this example) • Display Name (‘GXV3500’ in this example) • secret (‘h7Dka3Rf9si0t’ in this example) Figure 4-4. Add SIP Extension 7. Click on the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the page. The extension will be created and you will see the page on Figure 4-5 displaying the created extension on the right side. Extensions H264 is the video codec used by Grandstream GXV3500 on default settings. 8. Click on “Submit” button at the end of the page, and you will see a similar page on Figure 4-5 displaying the “Apply Configuration Changes Here” pink ribbon on top of the screen. Click on there to apply changes. 9. Repeat steps 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 to configure the Video Call IP Phone. Use a different extension and a secure password. 10. Finally, you should have something like seen in Figure 4-7. Figure 4-7 11. Editing “sip_general_custom.conf” file 13. When finish, click on “Save” and “Reload Asterisk” button in that order. 14. With this you have finished configuring Elastix Server. Now we will set the Grandstream GXV3500. To register the Grandstream GXV3500, you will need to enter the information from the extension created on the Elastix Server into the encoder by logging into the Grandstream GXV3500 WebUI. Go to the Grandstream GXV3500’s WebUI by pointing your browser to its IP address. For the initial configuration, refer to the Grandstream GXV3500 User Manual found at: http://www.grandstream.com/products/ip-video-surveillance/gxv3500 6 PaloSanto Solutions Grandstream GXV3500 and Elastix Server Setup Guide Factory default settings IP Addressing IP Address Web Access User Name Web Access Password DHCP 192.168.1.168 admin admin 15. When the WebUI is loaded, go to “Configuration” link located on the right corner of the page (Figure 4-10). Figure 4-10 16. Use the information from the Add SIP Extension page (Figure 4-4) to enter the following necessary information on “Basic Settings => SIP” section (Figure 4-11): SIP Settings Account name: The local name (GrandstreamEncoder in this example) SIP Server: Elastix Server’s IP Address (192.168.1.75 in this example) SIP User ID: (301 in this example) Authenticate ID: (301 in this example) Authenticate Password: (‘h7Dka3Rf9si0t’ in this example) Figure 4-11. Once you have entered the required information, click on ‘Save’ button located at the end of the page. You will be asked for rebooting the device, so accept the request. Next, refresh the page and check the registration was successful. (Figure 4-12). Figure 4-12. SIP Registration 18. Configure the Video Call IP (SIP) Phone with the correct parameters. Make sure to specify in the Phone Settings the H264 video codec configured previously in the Elastix Server. 19. To test the Grandstream GXV3500, pick up the previously configured video Call IP (SIP) Phone and call the Grandstream GXV3500’s extension number (301 in this example). When the call is established you should be able to watch through the analog camera. 8
