Compact starter for your trip User Manual IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Charge the Power Jumper fully prior to use. A WARNING: Keep the unit clear of fire and water. A WARNING: Shock Hazard. Keep away from children. Do not insert foreign objects into the jumper cables port/jack, the USB output port, or the DC input jack. Do not expose this product to water, rain, snow, condensation, or spray. Do not open the Power Jumper to replace the internal battery. No user replaceable parts are inside the Power Jumper. A WARNING: Explosion Hazard. Do not use this product where there are flammable fumes or gases, such as in the bilge of a gasoline-powered boat, or near propane tanks. Do not use this product in an enclosure containing automotive-type lead-acid batteries. The jump start cable clamps must be connected positive to positive (red clip to battery (+)) and negative to negative (black clip to battery (-)). A reverse polarity connection (positive to negative) may cause damage to the Power Jumper and/or create a sparking/explosion hazard. A WARNING: Fire Hazard Do not crush or puncture the Power Jumper. Never allow the jump start cables’ red and black clamps’ metal contacts to touch each other or another common metal conductor. This could cause damage to the unit and/or create a fire hazard. Always disconnect the jump start cables from the Power Jumper after each use and store separately. The jump start feature is designed for short term operation only. Turn the ignition key for no more than 3 seconds at a time. Operating the jump start feature for more than 3 seconds may cause damage to the unit. Allow the Power Jumper to cool down for at least 1 minute after each jump start attempt. Caution: Operating temperature Do not expose the Power Jumper to temperatures over +113° F(+45° C)or under -14°F (-10° C). Using the Power Jumper at high or low temperatures may reduce the internal battery capacity and shorten the battery life. Note: In extreme cold weather conditions, please bring the Power Jumper indoors for best results. Proper Vehicle Battery Handling Instructions A WARNING: Explosion and fire hazard 1. > WON Follow all instructions published by the battery manufacturer and the manufacturer of the equipment in which the battery is installed. . Make sure the area around the battery is well-ventilated. . Never smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of the engine or batteries. . Be careful not to drop a metal object on the battery or allow a metal tool to simultaneously touch the positive and negative cable ends or battery terminals. . Remove personal metal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces, and watches when working with batteries. Batteries produce a short-circuit current high enough to weld a ring or other similar objects to metal, causing a severe burn. . If you need to remove a battery, always remove the negative terminal from the battery first. Make sure all accessories are off so you don't cause an arc. . Someone should be within range of your voice, or close enough to come to your aid when you work near batteries. . Have plenty of fresh water, soap and a supply of baking soda on hand in the area of the batteries in case of contact with battery acid. Baking soda neutralizes lead acid battery electrolyte. . The Power Jumper is supplied with a rechargeable Li-Cobalt battery. This battery is self-contained and not consumer replaceable. Battery must be disposed of properly when it no longer holds a charge. Proper charging practices will maximize the life of the batteries. The Energen Power Jumper is a versatile and compact power solution that keeps you charged and running all day long. How to jump start your car: Step 1: A GC Make sure the battery is charged more than 50%. Step 3: Connect the jumper cable plug to the proper socket on Power Jumper. Energen will, without charge, repair or replace, at its option, defective USB charger, products or component parts upon delivery to the Energen Factory Service Department, accompanied by proof of the date of first consumer purchase, such as a duplicated copy of a sales receipt. Exclusions: This limited warranty does not apply: 1. To any product damaged by accident. 2. In the event of misuse or abuse of the product, or as a result of unauthorized alterations or repairs. 3.
