1. Introduction - TMPM037

The TMPM037 is an evaluation stamp board which is exploring the complete features of the new ARM Cortex-M0 TMPM037FWUG microcontroller by Toshiba. Based on the ARM Cortex-

M0 core running at 20MHz, the new device operates from a 5.0V supply and a comprehensive set of peripherals and interfaces integrated into a single 64-pin IC.

The 10-bit ADC provides high-speed, PWM-synchronised analogue-to-digital conversion, while an on-board comparator can be used for detecting emergency stop conditions. Other on-board features include a regulator, a single-channel encoder, power-on-reset/low-voltage detection, a watchdog timer and 10-channel 16-bit timer.

2. CMSIS-DAP Debugger and Programming

Steps to configure CMSIS-DAP Debugger.

Step 1: Hardware Setup - Accessories Required:

 Toshiba-TMPM037 stamp board

 CMSIS-DAP debugger

 USB mini cable -2

 20 to 10 pin converter

 10 pin FR cable

Step 2: Hardware Connectivity

 Using 10-Pin Ribbon Cable connect Toshiba TMPM037 and “20 Pin to 10 Pin

Adaptor”

 Connect CMSIS-DAP debugger to “20 Pin to 10 Pin Adaptor”

 Using USB mini cable connect CMSIS-DAP debugger and computer

 Connect a USB mini cable to power up the TMPM037 board

Step 3: Open the Keil GPIO_LED project which is downloaded from NGX website.

Step 4: Once Keil GPIO_LED project is opened, in Keil IDE click on Flash toolbar and select

Configure Flash Tools. A Configuration window will be opened as shown below, in which select the tab Device. Now select TMPM037FWUG MCU from the list as shown below

Step 5 : In same Configuration window click the tab Debug Option, under which select

CMSIS-DAP Debugger for the option Use as shown in image.

Step 6 : To open Target Drive Setup window click Settings button which is highlighted in above image. Here if CMSIS-DAP debugger is recognised it will be shown as below

Step 7 : Build the project. 0 Errors and 0 Warnings should be there

Step 8 : In Keil IDE, click on Download Code to Flash to flash the code into the board. Once flash is successfully completed, reset the board to verify the GPIO_LED code
