Carefully unpack box.

Open front cover of Ascent C1 for
access to internal components

We recommend mounting Ascent C1 inside
the gate operator or other weatherproof
enclosure when possible.
START HERE
If mounting inside a metal enclosure, an
Ascent 10' Cable Extension (p/n 16-X-EXT)
is required. Follow the instructions included
with the cable extension before moving on.

Connect wires
Ascent C1 Terminal Block
Loosen cable gland locknut,
feed wires through, and
connect wires as shown.

replace and secure front cover

power source, such as solar, verify that
it conforms to the following specs:

Locate supplied SIM card and press
in to unlock it for removal

Connect wires to Ascent C1 as shown
in Step 3
Connect wires to your power source,
making sure you connect positive to
positive and negative to negative
Remove SIM card

INSTALLATION COMPLETE!
Now follow the Activation Guide to create
an account and begin using Ascent.

C A U TI O N!
Double check that you’ve wired from
positive on Ascent C1 to positive on your
power source and negative on Ascent C1
to negative on your power source.
Reverse polarity can damage Ascent!

Insert new SIM card and press firmly
to lock into place
