Porsche 993 keyless entry system
T-Lock is specially developed for use in Porsche cars with factory equipped electric door locks. Please read the complete installation manual before use. There may be changes in wire colour codes depending on model and build year.
T-LOCK contents
1 pcs T-Lock receiver
2 pcs T-Lock transmitters
6 pcs Scotchlok 558
1 pcs nylon strips
Double sided tape for receiver
Cable with connector
Wires for blinker connection (brown)
Installation
The control unit for factory installed electric door locks is placed under the right seat. It is equipped with a yellow and a black connector. T-Lock will be connected to both with only four wires. Please check if the control box is present by moving the seat fully forward. It’s easily detected by the yellow connector harness.
There are two connection variants, one for cars with a lock control box with a yellow part number label, and a second in cars with a green label on the control box. Only the lock and unlock wires are different, the power supply leads are always the same. See the test description below for details on this.
Preparations
Remove the seat by unscrewing the six Allen bolts in the seat rail. Disconnect the positive battery pole to avoid damages. You may have to remove some of the sticky canvas coating on the cables to gain access to the wires. Connect all four wires according to the tables below. Use a soldering iron or the supplied Scotchlok connectors:
Place the connector on the wire and fasten the clip to fix it. (1) Fully insert second wire. (2) Connect with pliers and close the cap.
Connection
Use an Ohmmeter to determine what connection scheme to use in the table below.
Connect one lead from the ohmmeter to ground, and the other to either the Lock or
Unlock wires in your car. The wires should be connected to ground when turning the key in your door to lock or unlock.
Check the colour of Porsche part number label on the lock control box. Most cars in mainland Europe and the Nordics have a yellow label, and some RHD cars and US models have a green or blue label. This indicates what wiring scheme to use, but do the testing mentioned above to verify this. If you cannot find brown/green and brown/blue wires in your car you most probably must use the green/blue label wiring scheme.

NOTE: Please observe that some cars have two wires connected to pin 1 and 2 on the yellow connector. Both have the same colour coding, use either of these.
Some 993’s have the lock and unlock wires connected in opposite positions. Do the Final test below to determine what wire scheme your car has before installing everything permanently.
Final testing
Ensure that all four wires to the T-Lock harness are connected. Reconnect the car battery.
Use a voltmeter or similar to test for +12V on the red wire, ground on black. Use a short copper wire and short the yellow wire to ground, the doors should lock. Then connect the yellow/black wire briefly to ground to see the doors unlock. Verify the yellow and yellow/black wires with an ohmmeter as described above.
Turn signal connection
T-Lock has the possibility to blink the direction lights when operating. One blink when lock, and two blinks when unlocking. You may use this by connecting the two extra wires to the turn signal circuits in the car. Disconnect the battery first, and insert the two brown wires into the T-Lock harness as shown. The two wires shall be placed into the two slots
next to the red thick wire. Make sure you hear the click when they are fully inserted.
Connect to the turn signal circuit wires on the lock control box according to the table below. The wires are available on the black harness where you found the GND and +12V wires mentioned above.

Black/Green( black connector pin9)
Test the connection by measuring both of them with a voltmeter. Turn on the direction light. You should measure +12V when the light is on.
Fasten the T-Lock receiver under the seat with double sided tape or nylon strips.
Remember to place the antenna wire freely for good reception.
Additional transmitters
Four T-Lock transmitters can be used in the same system. Registration of a fifth transmitter will overwrite the first memory position.
Do the following to store new transmitter units:
Press and hold the Store button as shown
Press one of the rubber buttons on the new remote transmitter
Release the Store button. T-Lock will blink the direction lights to indicate the registration of the new remote transmitter
Transmitter batteries
The transmitters are equipped with two batteries of type CR 2016.
Normally the batteries will last for months depending on use. Poor reception or fading blue light indicates that the batteries should be exchanged. Open the transmitter by removing the three screws. The batteries are stacked in the battery holder. Replace the batteries and make sure that both are placed with the positive pole faced up. The old batteries must be disposed of properly.
T-Lock operates on 433 MHz radio frequency and is approved for use in the Nordic countries and the European Union.
