Product Overview

The LCD2-80 is an 80-character backlit LCD display that remotely mirrors the host addressable fire panel.

2 Installation

WARNING: Remove all power sources to the panel before installation. Leave the external and main power OFF until installation is complete.

2.2 Mounting to an ABF Enclosure

1. Remove the faceplate from the ABF enclosure by unfastening the two screws on the front of the enclosure.

2. Align the LCD2-80 module to the two mounting holes on the back of the faceplate and secure with

the two 4-40 screws provided with the enclosure (see Figure 2-2.)

3. Slide the annunciator label through the slot on the back of the LCD2-80. This label can be found on

Page of this installation sheet, or generated using LabelEase. See the Notifier website

( www.notifier.com.au

) for label templates.

4. Remove the desired knockout from the enclosure backbox and pass the necessary cables through the knockout, before connecting them to the removable terminal blocks provided with the LCD2-80.

See Section 2.1 for connection information.

NOTE: When cables are not run in a conduit, shielding on cables for EIA-485 connections must be grounded outside the enclosure and fire panel.

5. Connect the terminal blocks to TB1 & TB2 on the LCD2-80.

6. Replace the faceplate with the LCD2-80 on the enclosure backbox and fasten with the two

countersunk screws (see Figure 2-3.)

NOTE: The available address range for the LCD2-80 is 2-32 (inclusive.)

1. Set a unique address for the LCD2-80 using the rotary address switches along the top of the module.

2. Set the operating mode using the DIP switches on the LCD2-80. See Table 1 for a description of

the switch functions and default settings for operation in Terminal Mode.

3. Configure annunciator points via the panel’s keypad or through VeriFire Tools. Refer to the panel’s

Programming Manual for further information on programming the annunciator.
