Porsche 968 keyless entry system
T-Lock is specially developed for use in Porsche cars with factory equipped electric door locks. Read the complete installation manual before use. There may be changes in wire colour codes depending on model and build year.
T-LOCK contents
1 pcs T-Lock receiver
2 pcs T-Lock transmitters
6 pcs Scotchlok 558
1 pcs nylon strips
Double sided tape for receiver
Cable with connector
Wires for blinker connection (brown)
Installation
The control unit for factory installed electric door locks is placed adjacent to the
Motronic engine control unit, under the passenger foot well kick panel.
Remove the wooden kick panel (4 screws), and remove the metal frame. (2 screws on the bottom and 2 plastic screws on top)
The door lock control unit is equipped with a yellow and a black connector. T-Lock will be connected to both with only four wires. (six if you need blinker confirmation)
Preparations
Disconnect the positive battery pole to avoid damages. You may have to remove some of the sticky canvas coating on the cables to gain access to the wires. Connect all four wires according to the tables below. Use a soldering iron or the supplied Scotchlok connectors:
Place the connector on the wire and fasten the clip to fix it. (1) Fully insert second wire. (2) Connect with pliers and close the cap.
Connection
There are a couple of wire colour variants on this in the 968, use an Ohmmeter to check that you are to use the correct wires in your car.
Connect one lead from the ohmmeter to ground, and the other to either the Lock or
Unlock wires in your car. The wires should be connected to ground (ohmmeter continuity) when turning the key in your door to lock or unlock. See table below.

Final testing
Ensure that all four wires to the T-Lock harness are connected. Reconnect the car battery.
Use a voltmeter or similar to test for +12V on the red wire, ground on black. Use a short copper wire and short the yellow wire to ground, the doors should lock. Then connect the yellow/black wire briefly to ground to see the doors unlock. Verify the yellow and yellow/black wires with an ohmmeter as described above.
Turn signal connection
T-Lock has the possibility to blink the direction lights when operating. One blink when locking, and two blinks when unlocking. You may use this by connecting the two extra wires to the turn signal circuits in the car.
Disconnect the car battery first, and insert the two brown wires into the T-Lock harness as shown. The two wires shall be placed into the two slots next to the red thick wire.
Make sure you hear the click when they are fully inserted. Connect to the turn signal circuit wires on the lock control box according to the table below. The wires are available on the black harness where you found the GND and +12V wires mentioned above.

Black/White or Brown/Black (black connector pin 8)
Black/Green or Green ( black connector pin 9)
Test the connection by measuring both of them with a voltmeter. Turn on the direction light. You should measure +12V when the light is on.
Fasten the T-Lock receiver on the kick panel with double sided tape or nylon strips.
Remember to place the antenna wire freely for good reception.
Additional transmitters
Four T-Lock transmitters can be used in the same system. Registration of a fifth transmitter will overwrite the first memory position.
Do the following to store new transmitter units:
Press and hold the Store button as shown
Press one of the rubber buttons on the new remote transmitter
Release the Store button. T-Lock will blink the direction lights to indicate the registration of the new remote transmitter
Transmitter batteries
The transmitters are equipped with two batteries of type CR 2016.
Normally the batteries will last for months depending on use. Poor reception or fading blue light indicates that the batteries should be exchanged. Open the transmitter by removing the three screws. The batteries are stacked in the battery holder. Replace the batteries and make sure that both are placed with the positive pole faced up. The old batteries must be disposed of properly.
T-Lock operates on 433 MHz radio frequency and is approved for use in the Nordic countries and the European Union.
