Thank you for choosing this Goldair product. This Goldair appliance has been designed and manufactured to high standards of engineering and with proper use and care, as described in this leaflet, will give you years of useful service. Please read these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.

Remote control
The symbols on the Remote correspond to the symbols on the main unit.
The remote requires a line-of-sight path to allow for the signal to be received by the unit. Position the unit so the receiver lens is visible from the remote control.
Remove battery cover and install two
“AAA” batteries when required.

Assembly
Remove the height adjustment knob (6) from the outer tube (13). Slide the base cover (7) over the outer tube (13) and replace the height adjustment knob (6). Place the outer tube onto the base and the base weight (20) under the base; tighten with screw provided.
Loosen the fastening screw (18) and slide the assembled fan head onto the inner tube
(5). Once in place, tighten the fastening screw (5) by rotating it clockwise.
Loosen and remove the retaining ring from the front of the motor housing (15) by rotating it anti-clockwise. Position the rear grill (14) over the motor shaft, against the motor housing, with the handle at the top.
Ensure that the locating pegs on the motor housing are engaged correctly in the holes on the grill. Screw the retaining ring onto the motor housing by rotating clockwise and tighten firmly.
Place the fan blade (1) onto the motor shaft, locating the slot at the back of the blade.
Screw the retaining knob onto the motor shaft by rotating it anti-clockwise and tighten firmly.
Slide the grill hoop (10) over the rear grill and then insert the front grill (9) into the hoop. Position correctly by hand and secure with small screw provided.
Operating your Fan
Always choose a safe location for the fan, keeping in mind the safety precautions outlined. Ensure all packaging has been removed from the unit before use. This appliance requires no installation, it should be used solely as a portable appliance.
WARNING Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front, sides and rear of the appliance
Oscillation
To activate the oscillation function, push down the oscillation button on the control panel. The fan will then oscillate until the button is pushed again to turn off.
Fan control switch
Place the fan on a dry, level and sturdy surface.
Plug the power cord into the socket.
Mode
There are 3 Mode functions: Normal,
Natural or Sleep.
Switch on the appliance by pressing the on/off button (A) on the control panel. The fan will begin to operate in low fan speed.
The low speed indicator (1) will illuminate.
Switch fan off by pressing on/off button (A).
Normal Mode: Constant air flow which can be adjust by pressing the speed function button.
For example, normal LOW or normal MEDIUM or normal HIGH.
Fan Speed
Each press of the speed button will change the wind speed between High-Mid-Low. The corresponding fan speed light will illuminate.
Natural Mode: Programmed to simulated natural air flow (wind) as if it was entering via the window. Natural mode can be operated in high, medium or low speed.
Timer
The timer function allows the unit to be set to operate for a length of time from 0.5-7.5
hours before switching the unit off.
Sleep Mode: Programmed to provide comfort while the user is asleep.
This mode is similar to the natural mode and can operate with speed mode HIGH or
MEDIUM or LOW.
Each press of the timer button (C) will increase the amount of time the unit runs before it switches off.
The corresponding timer lights will illuminate.
Pressing the mode button (E) on the remote control will select the wind mode, i.e.
natural, sleep or normal. The mode will be indicated on the display panel (2).
If you want to use the fan without setting the timer, adjust the timer so that no lights timer indicators (3) are illuminated.
Tilt
Adjust tilt by turning neck screw (9) and tilting body to the desired wind direction (i.e.
either upward or downward).

To avoid risk of electric shock, before cleaning, you MUST ALWAYS switch off and unplug the fan before cleaning.
Use only a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the fan and dry well.
To access the fan blade , remove the front guard and securing screw.
Do not immerse the fan in water and never allow water to enter the motor housing.
Do not use harsh chemicals to clean the fan.

One Year Warranty
Thank you for purchasing this Goldair product. Your product is warranted against faults and manufacture when used in normal domestic use for a period of one year. In non-domestic use Goldair limits the voluntary warranty to three months.
Goldair undertake to repair or replace this product at no charge if found to be defective due to a manufacturing fault during the warranty period.
This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, neglect, shipping accident, incorrect installation, or work carried out by anyone other than a qualified electrical service technician.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AS THIS WILL HELP VERIFY YOUR WARRANTY.
The benefits to you given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under a law in relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates.
In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
