WHEN USING ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS, ESPECIALLY WHEN CHILDREN ARE

• ALWAYS unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and
before cleaning. To disconnect, turn all controls to the ‘OFF’ position, then remove plug
from outlet.

• DO NOT attempt to repair the appliance. There are no user serviceable parts. For service,
send to a HoMedics Service Centre. All servicing of this appliance must be performed by
authorised HoMedics service personnel only.
• Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or
couch. Keep air openings free of lint, hair etc.
• Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a bath or sink. Do not
place in or drop into water or other liquid.
• The rear strap should only be used to hold the cushion in position against a chair back. It
is not intended for any other use.

• Not recommended for use on wooden surfaces as the zipper may damage the wood.
Caution is also recommended when using on upholstered furniture.
• Care should be taken when using heated surfaces. If the product feels excessively hot,
switch off at mains and contact the HoMedics Service Centre.
• Only gentle force should be exerted against the seat in order to eliminate risk of injury.
• You may soften massage force by placing a towel between yourself and the unit.

MAINTENANCE:
Cleaning
Unplug the appliance and allow to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, slightly damp sponge.
• Never allow water or any other liquids to come into contact with the appliance.
• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, glass / furniture polish, paint thinner etc to clean.
To wash cover
• Unzip and remove cover.
• Follow instructions on wash label.
• Once dry, take care refitting cover and then zip up.
Storage
Place the appliance in its box or in a safe, dry, cool place. Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed objects
which might cut or puncture the fabric surface. To avoid breakage, DO NOT wrap the power cord around the
appliance. DO NOT hang the unit by the cord.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Massage Function
Plug the adaptor into a 220-240V mains outlet.
Connect the adaptor lead to the massager power supply cord.
To turn on, press power button once (Figure 1).
To activate Shiatsu massage, press
Shiatsu button. To change direction press
(Figure 1).
To activate soothing heat with the massage, press the heat button (Figure 1). Massage heads will glow
red (Figure 2). Allow a few moments for the heating action to warm up.
6. When finished press the power button again to turn off all massage and heat functions and unplug
the pillow.

NOTE:
• The massage cushion should only be used for a maximum of 15 minutes at any one time.
• The Shiatsu Pillow is designed for use on the neck, back and shoulders (see Figures 3 and 4).
• Only gentle force should be exerted against the pillow in order to eliminate risk of injury.
• Always remember to switch the appliance off when not in use.
• Take care to position the product where it will not damage wooden or upholstered surfaces.
• For the neck and shoulders it may work better to use the pillow upside down (as shown in Figure 5).
• The elasticated Velcro strap (situated on the rear of the pillow) can be used to secure the pillow to the chair
back (see Figure 6).

Ce produit nécessite une source d’alimentation en courant alternatif 220-240V.
NE PAS essayer de réparer l’appareil. Aucune pièce ne peut être remise en état par
l’utilisateur. L’envoyer à un Centre Service HoMedics pour réparation. Tout dépannage de
cet appareil doit être réalisé uniquement pas un personnel de service HoMedics agréé.
Ne jamais obturer les sorties d’air de l’appareil, ni le placer sur une surface non rigide, telle
qu’un lit ou un canapé. Maintenir les sorties d’air exemptes de peluches, cheveux, etc.
Ne pas poser ou ranger l’appareil dans un endroit où il pourrait tomber ou basculer dans
une baignoire ou un évier. Ne pas placer ni laisser tomber dans l’eau ou dans tout autre
liquide.
La bande Velcro élastique ne doit servir que pour maintenir le coussin contre un dossier
de fauteuil. Elle n’est pas conçue pour tout autre usage.
Le non-respect des consignes ci-dessus peut entraîner un risque d’incendie ou de blessure.

• NE PAS utiliser avant d’aller se coucher. Le massage a un effet stimulant qui peut retarder
l’endormissement.
• Ne pas dépasser la durée d’utilisation recommandée.
• Utilisation non recommandée sur les surfaces en bois car la fermeture éclair pourrait
endommager le bois. Il est également recommandé de faire attention lors d’un usage sur
siège capitonné.
• Utiliser les surfaces chauffées avec précaution. Si le produit devient excessivement chaud,
débrancher la prise secteur et contacter le Centre Service HoMedics.
• Pour éviter tout risque d’accident, ne pas exercer de pression trop forte sur le siège.
• Vous pouvez atténuer la force du massage en plaçant une serviette entre vous et l’appareil.
• L'appareil est doté d'une surface chauffante. Les personnes sensibles à la chaleur doivent
faire attention en utilisant l'appareil.
• Utilisation non recommandée sur des sièges en cuir.
• S'assurer que le mécanisme de massage ou toute autre pièce mobile du produit n'est pas
gêné par des cheveux, vêtements ou bijoux en cours de fonctionnement.

ENTRETIEN :
Nettoyage
Débrancher l’appareil et le laisser refroidir avant de le nettoyer. Utiliser uniquement une éponge souple
légèrement humidifiée pour le nettoyage.
• Ne jamais mettre l’appareil en contact avec de l’eau ou tout autre liquide.
• Ne pas le nettoyer en l’immergeant dans un liquide.
• Ne jamais utiliser de brosses, produits abrasifs, lustrant pour vitre/mobilier, décapant peinture, etc. pour le
nettoyage.
Nettoyage de la housse
• Ouvrir la fermeture zippée et enlever la housse.
• Suivre les instructions de lavage imprimées sur l'étiquette.
• Remettre la housse en place avec soin dès qu'elle est sèche et refermer la fermeture zippée.
Rangement
Ranger l’appareil dans son carton d’emballage ou dans un endroit frais, sec et sûr. Eviter tout contact avec des
objets à angles saillants ou pointus, susceptibles de déchirer ou de percer la surface du tissu. NE PAS enrouler
le cordon d’alimentation autour de l’appareil pour éviter tout dégât. NE PAS le suspendre par le fil électrique.

MODE D’EMPLOI :

Fonction Massage
Brancher l’adaptateur à une prise secteur 220-240V.
Connecter le câble adaptateur au cordon d'alimentation du masseur.
Pour mettre en route, appuyez une fois sur le bouton Power (Figure 1).
Pour activer le massage Shiatsu, appuyez bouton
Shiatsu. Pour changer de direction, appuyez
(Figure 1).
5. Pour activer la chaleur apaisante avec le massage, appuyez sur le bouton Chaleur (Figure 1). Les têtes de
massage clignotent rouge (Figure 2). Attendez quelques minutes pour que la chaleur arrive à température.
6. Lorsque la séance est terminée, appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton Power pour arrêter l'action de
massage chauffant et débranchez le coussin.

REMARQUE:
• Le coussin de massage ne doit être utilisé que 15 minutes maximum par séance.
• Le coussin Shiatsu est conçu pour une utilisation au niveau du cou, du dos et des épaules (voir Figures 3 et 4).
• Pour éviter tout risque d’accident, ne pas exercer de pression trop forte sur le siège.
• Toujours penser à éteindre l’appareil lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé.
• Prendre soin de placer le produit à l’écart de surfaces en bois ou capitonnées pour ne pas les endommager.
• Pour une plus grande efficacité au niveau du cou et des épaules, il est conseillé de placer le coussin à
l’envers, comme indiqué en Figure 5.
• La bande Velcro élastique (située à l’arrière du coussin) peut être utilisée pour assurer le maintien du
coussin contre le dossier du fauteuil (voir Figure 6).
ATTENTION :
Pour éviter tout pincement en ajustant la position de votre corps, ne pas vous appuyer sur le
mécanisme de massage Shiatsu pour le dos, intégré au coussin.
Ne pas coincer ou enfoncer toute partie du corps dans le mécanisme de massage mobile.

• Onmiddellijk na gebruik en alvorens het apparaat te reinigen ALTIJD de stekker van het
apparaat uit het stopcontact halen. Het apparaat uitschakelen door alle
bedieningselementen in de stand ‘OFF’ te zetten en vervolgens de stekker uit het
stopcontact halen.
• Een apparaat NOOIT met de stekker in het stopcontact achterlaten. De stekker uit het
stopcontact halen wanneer het apparaat niet wordt gebruikt en alvorens onderdelen of
hulpstukken te plaatsen of verwijderen.
• Dit apparaat mag worden gebruikt door kinderen van 8 jaar en ouder en door personen

werkt, is gevallen of beschadigd, of in water is gevallen. Retourneer het naar het
onderhoudscentrum van HoMedics, waar het zal worden onderzocht en gerepareerd.

Dit product heeft een voedingsbron van 220-240 volt wisselstroom nodig.
NOOIT proberen om het apparaat te repareren. Het heeft geen onderdelen die door de
gebruiker gerepareerd kunnen worden. Voor onderhoud dient u contact op te nemen met
een onderhoudscentrum van HoMedics. Onderhoud aan het apparaat mag uitsluitend
worden uitgevoerd door bevoegde medewerkers van HoMedics.
Nooit de luchtopeningen van het apparaat blokkeren of het op een zacht oppervlak
plaatsen, zoals een bed of een bank. Luchtopeningen vrij houden van pluis, haar enz.
Het apparaat nooit plaatsen of bewaren op een plek waar het in een badkuip of wasbak
kan worden getrokken of vallen. Het apparaat nooit in water of een andere vloeistof
plaatsen of laten vallen.
De rekbare kleefband is uitsluitend bedoeld om het kussen op zijn plaats te houden tegen

VOORZORGSMAATREGELEN

• Indien u bezorgd bent over uw gezondheid, dient u uw arts te raadplegen
alvorens het apparaat te gebruiken.
• Personen met pacemakers en zwangere vrouwen dienen een arts te raadplegen alvorens
het apparaat te gebruiken. Niet geschikt voor gebruik door diabetespatiënten.
• NOOIT op kleine kinderen, mindervaliden en slapende of bewusteloze personen
gebruiken. NIET gebruiken op ongevoelige huid of op iemand met slechte bloedsomloop.
• Dit apparaat mag NOOIT worden gebruikt door personen met lichamelijke aandoeningen
die de bediening van het apparaat zouden kunnen belemmeren, of door personen met
sensorische gebreken in het onderlichaam.
• NOOIT rechtstreeks op gezwollen of ontstoken lichaamsdelen of huiduitslag gebruiken.
• Indien u tijdens het gebruik van het apparaat ongemak ervaart, het gebruik staken en uw
arts raadplegen.
• Dit is geen professioneel apparaat, het is bedoeld voor persoonlijk gebruik en om
vermoeide spieren een verzachtende massage te geven. NOOIT gebruiken als vervanging

• NIET voor het naar bed gaan gebruiken. De massage heeft een stimulerend effect en kan
de slaap uitstellen.
• Niet langer dan de aanbevolen duur gebruiken.
• Niet geschikt voor gebruik op houten oppervlakken, daar de rits het hout kan beschadigen.
Wees tevens voorzichtig wanneer u het apparaat op bekleed meubilair gebruikt.
• Altijd voorzichtig zijn wanneer verwarmde oppervlakken worden gebruikt. Als het
product erg heet aanvoelt, de netvoeding uitschakelen, de stekker uit het stopcontact
halen en contact opnemen met een onderhoudscentrum van HoMedics.
• Om het risico van letsel te voorkomen, mag er alleen lichte druk op het kussen worden
uitgeoefend.
• U kunt de massagekracht verminderen door een handdoek tussen uzelf en het apparaat
te leggen.
• Het apparaat heeft een verwarmd oppervlak. Personen die ongevoelig zijn voor hitte
dienen voorzichtig met het apparaat om te gaan.
• Niet geschikt voor gebruik op leren meubels.
• Verzeker uzelf ervan dat alle haren, kleding en sieraden te allen tijde niet in de buurt
komen van het massagemechanisme of enige andere bewegende onderdelen van het
product.

Haal de stekker van het apparaat uit het stopcontact en laat het afkoelen alvorens het te reinigen. Het mag
alleen met een zachte, enigszins vochtige spons worden gereinigd.
• Nooit water of andere vloeistoffen in contact laten komen met het apparaat.
• Nooit in een vloeistof dompelen om het te reinigen.
• Het apparaat nooit reinigen met schuurmiddelen, borstels, glas- of meubelpoetsmiddel, verfverdunners enz.
De hoes wassen
• Maak de rits open en verwijder de hoes.
• Volg de instructies op het wasetiket.
• Wanneer de hoes droog is, deze voorzichtig weer aanbrengen en de rits sluiten.
Opslag
Stop het apparaat in zijn doos of leg het op een veilige, droge en koele plek. Voorkom dat het scherpe randen
of spitse voorwerpen raakt, die het stoffen oppervlak zouden kunnen beschadigen of doorboren. Om
defecten te voorkomen, het netsnoer NOOIT om het apparaat wikkelen. De eenheid NOOIT aan het elektrische
snoer ophangen.

Deze markering geeft aan dat dit product binnen de EU niet met ander huisvuil mag worden
weggeworpen. Om eventuele schade aan het milieu of de menselijke gezondheid door het
ongecontroleerd wegwerpen van afval te voorkomen, dient dit apparaat op verantwoorde wijze
gerecycled te worden om duurzaam hergebruik van materiaalbronnen te bevorderen. Wilt u het

Massagefunctie
Steek de stekker van de adapter in een stopcontact van 220-240 volt.
Sluit het snoer van de adapter aan op het stroomsnoer van de massager.
Druk eenmaal op de netschakelaar om het apparaat in te schakelen (Afbeelding 1).
Activeer de shiatsu massage door eenmaal op de knop
Shiatsu. Druk nogmaals op deze knop om de
richting te veranderen
(Afbeelding 1).
5. Voor aangename warmte bij de massage drukt u op de warmteknop (Afbeelding 1).
De massagekoppen gloeien rood (Afbeelding 2) Wacht enkele minuten terwijl het apparaat opwarmt.
6. Druk na afloop weer op de netschakelaar om de massage en de warmtefunctie te stoppen en haal de
stekker van het kussen uit het stopcontact.
