Device RCD (Safety switch) with a trip current of 30mA or less.
WARNING! This product is intended for pumping water in a home domestic
application. Do not use it for corrosive, abrasive, explosive or dangerous liquids. Fluids other than

WARNING! DO NOT ABUSE THE MAINS LEAD
• Never pull the mains lead to disconnect the pump from the mains socket.
• Keep the mains lead away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
• If you have to use an extension lead with this product, it must be designed for outdoor use.

will damage the pump’s seal and void the warranty
CAUTION! This pump is not suitable for drinking water. Some lubricants and other
materials used in the pump may leach into the water.

PREPARATION
WARNING! Always use an electrical outlet that is protected by Residual Current
Device RCD (Safety switch) with a trip current of 30mA or less.
Before the pump can be used the pump body must be primed before use and will depend on the type of
installation.
1. Setup with base level of tank at same level (Fig 1.)
• Open the gate valve and the garden tap.
• Run the pump until there is no air visible in the clear cover of the inlet strainer.
• Close the garden tap and turn the pump OFF
2. Setup with base level of tank below the pump. (Fig 2.)
• Check that the pump is turned OFF at the mains outlet. (Power point)
• With the gate valve open, unscrew the clear cover of the strainer, fill with water until the suction line and
pump body are filled with water.
• Replace the cover.
NOTE: A FOOT VALVE MUST BE FITTED OR THE WATER WILL DRAIN
BACK INTO THE TANK. This may lead to having to prime the pump continually.
• Check that the ON / OFF switch (service switch) is in the ON position.
• Turn the power ON at the mains outlet (Power point)
• The pump should start.
• Slowly open the outlet taps and allow the lines to clear and purge any air in the pipes.
• This priming procedure may need to be repeated several times.
• After successfully priming the pump turn the garden tap OFF and check for leaks and rectify.
NOTE: FOR THE UP-GPP600A. This model is fitted with a automatic controller
that will try to prime the pump two times only. If the controller detects that the pump is
still not primed after the two attempts it will turn off and the failure lamp will FLASH.
To RESET the controller re-prime the pump and press the reset button to try again.
OPERATION
UP-GPP600 (Manual ON / OFF model)
• With the pump primed, Turn the pump ON at the power switch and power point.
