USER GUIDE
System requirements, installation and use
REQUIREMENTS
In order for the CMS to run on your server you must have the following:
●
PHP version 5.4 enabled.
●
MySQL databases allowed on your hosting platform.
●
A database created and a database user assigned to that database
●
Access to your MySQL database with the following (this information should be
available from your hosting account):
●

Database Hostname.
o
Database Username.
o
Database Password.
o
Database Name.
Ioncube loaders installed:
o
Download the loader package that suits your server version.
o
http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php
INSTALLATION
To install the WALDO CMS, please follow the instructions below:
1. Unzip the waldo_cms.zip archive file.
2. Upload the entire contents, including .htaccess file, into a folder on your server where
you want the CMS to run.
3. Map any domains (at least one domain) that you want to use the CMS to the same folder
as the uploaded files.
3.1. Example – You have a folder on your server called landing_cms/ where the CMS code
is, therefore your domain www.mydatingsite.com would need to be mapped to the
folder landing_cms/ also.
4. Ensure any domains you are using have a 301 non-www. to www. redirect added.
4.1. 301 (permanent) redirect from mydatingsite.com to www.mydatingsite.com.
5. Open your browser window and go to your mapped domain (www.mydatingsite.com).
6. This will initiate the installation process.
7. Database Configuration:
7.1. Enter your database credentials (see requirements):
7.1.1.
Enter your database host (e.g. localhost).
7.1.2.
Enter your database username.
7.1.3.
Enter your database password.
7.1.4. Enter your database name (needs to be already created).
7.2. Click Configure Database.
8. User Account Set Up:
8.1. Enter your new user account details:
8.1.1. Enter username.
8.1.2. Enter email address.
8.1.3. Enter and re enter your password.
8.1.4. Click Create Account.
8.2. You will receive a confirmation email and be directed to a login screen.
9. Installation process – complete.

ACCESSING THE CMS
To access the CMS:
1. In your browser window, enter any domain you already have mapped to your CMS
folder followed by /cms. For example – www.mydatingsite.com/cms.

LOGIN
1. Enter your username and password and click Login.
2. After a successful login you will be redirected to your dashboard home screen.
From this point on, for any functionality you wish to use you will need to be logged in.

CREATING SITES
The following is to add a new site to the CMS (along with initial landing pages).
From your dashboard (www.mydatingsite.com/cms):
1. Click Create New Site Now.
2. Here you will need to enter all relevant details about your new site(s):
a. Enter Site Name.
b. Enter Domain (This can be any domain that has already mapped to the CMS).
c. Country selection:
i. Select a default country for the overall site.
ii. Below are checkboxes for additional countries you want to include.
d. Enter Google Analytics UA ID.
e. Enter a default Page Title, Meta Keywords, Meta Description.
i. You will have the opportunity to change these on a page level when
creating additional pages.
f.
Page Template selection:
i. Here you can select a default template for all subsequent landing
pages.
ii. You will have the opportunity to change these on page level for
specific pages.
iii. Select a page template from the layouts on offer.
3. Once all fields are entered – click Create Site Now at the bottom of the page.
4. This will create your site, along with a main landing page and a landing page for each
of the additional countries that were selected from section 2.c.ii.

MANAGE SITES
The following is how to manage your sites:
●
Edit a current site’s general settings.
●
View your current landing pages.
●
Create additional sites (with landing pages).
From your dashboard (www.mydatingsite.com/cms):
Create another site:
1. After creating your first site you can still create additional sites. Simply click Create
New Site Now and you will start the process again.
2. Duplicate A Site Now: If you have existing sites, you can replicate that site’s assets for
a new site. Click Duplicate A Site Now. You will still need to enter the basic
information (Site Name, Site Domain and any GA and META tags). Within the Import
Assets From... use the drop down menu to select the site from which you wish to
import all assets (pages, images, content, etc.) from. Click Duplicate Site Now and this
will replicate the same assets for the new site.
Manage Site:
Below Create New Site/Duplicate A Site Now buttons you will see a list of your created sites
and options dedicated to each:

Show Site Pages:

1. This will show all pages that operate under the specific site. Click Show Pages [jump
to SECTION 8] to see all URLs of a site and additional options to edit their individual
colour schemes, content, and template selection.
Show Settings:
1. Clicking Show Settings will allow you to update any changes made when first creating
the site (including Google Analytics tracking, Site Name, Default Country, Default
Template).
Delete:
1. To remove a site (and all its pages, content, colours, images, cross sell) click the bin
option.

CREATING PAGES
The following is how to create a new page for a specific site:
From your dashboard (www.mydatingsite.com/cms):
Create New Page:
1. From your list of sites in your dashboard area, click the show site pages on the site
you wish to add a page to.
2. You will see a list of pages (if any) for this site. Above the list will be an option –
Create New Page Now. Click it.
3. First you will need to enter all the basic details for your new page:
a. Enter a Page URL.
b. Select a specific Country for this page.
c. Select the Form Sexuality.
d. Select the Age Niche Range of the form.
e. Select to Enable Links (e.g. country navigation).
i. This will generally be left as Yes, unless using a specific traffic sources
applies.
f.
Select to Enable GEO IP redirects (e.g. country navigation).
i. This is option will allow the sign up form to dynamically changed based
on a user’s location (Assuming the site has a specific page for that
country).
4. Next you will need to enter your WLD site information within WLD Site Plugin:
a. Enter your WLD Site ID (can be obtained from your Partner Account
Manager).
b. Enter your WLD Site URL (can be obtained from your Partner Account
Manager).
5. To add Meta tags:
a. Meta tags will be pre populated as they inherit the same text from the site
(SECTION 6.2.e).

b. Any of these can be overwritten and tailored towards the specific page.
6. Enter any custom meta tags you wish to use:
a. You will need both Custom Meta Name (e.g. language) and Custom Meta
Value (e.g. english).
7. Add links to any social pages (if applicable):
a. Enter Facebook page.
b. Enter Twitter page.
c. Enter Google+ page.
d. Enter Pintrest page.
e. Enter Youtube page.
8. Select your Page Template:
a. The template will already be selected as the same template as the one set
when creating the site (SECTION 6.2.f).
b. This can be changed so you have different templates for different pages.
c. Confirm the page template.
9. Inheritance: If you already have existing landing pages, on this site, with images,
content and colours then you can import those assets onto the page you are creating
by simply selecting the “Inheritance” template. From here you can select which assets
from a current page you would like to use for this new page.
10. Click Create New Page.

PAGE DUPLICATION
The following is how to duplicate a page for a specific site:
From your dashboard (www.mydatingsite.com/cms):
Page Duplication:
1. From your list of sites in your dashboard area, click the show site pages on the
site you wish to replicate a page.
2. You will see a list of pages for this site. Above the list will be an option – Duplicate A
Page Now. Click it.
3. Similar to the Create New Page, you will need to enter the following information:
a. Enter a Page URL.
b. Select a specific Country for this page.
4. In the Import Assets From... section you will need to select the following:
a. Select the existing page from where you want the information imported from.
b. Tick the boxes to choose which assets to import from the existing page for
this new one.
5. Click Duplicate Page Now to complete the duplication.

MANAGING YOUR PAGES
The following is how to manage any page settings and features:

Edit a page’s general settings.

Add/Update/Delete Content.
●
Add/Update/Delete Images.
●
Add/Update/Delete Colour schemes.
●
Add/Update/Delete Cross Registration.
●
Add/Update/Delete Member Feed.
●
Add/Update/Delete Testimonial.
●
Add/Update/Delete Mobile settings.
●
Create additional pages.
from your dashboard (www.mydatingsite.com/cms):
Manage Pages
1. From your list of sites click Show Pages.
2. Listed are all the landing pages within your site.
3. To create a new page click Create New Page Now.
4. Click Page Settings to edit the page settings set.
5. Click Content to manage the content.
6. Click Images to manage the images.
7. Click Colours to manage the colour scheme.
8. Click Cross Registration to manage any cross registration on the landing page.
9. Click Member Feed to manage custom member feeds on the landing page.
10. Click Testimonial to manage custom member feeds on the landing page.
11. Click Mobile Settings to manage the mobile page.
12. Click Delete (bin icon) to remove page.

Page Settings
1. Update any information that was added when first creating the page (e.g. Page URL,
Meta Keywords, Page Template).
2. Click Update Page to apply changes.
Note: Depending on which page template you have selected you will have a different amount
of content, image, and colour placements to edit.
Content
1. Along the left will be input boxes for each section of content the page can hold.
2. On the right is a live window panel to show you how any changes look.
3. For any content placement simply enter your text into the input field.
a. General HTML tags and styles are accepted.
4. After any changes scroll to the bottom and click Update Page Content.
Images
1. Listed along the left will be all image placements available for the page.
2. Add – On the placement you wish to edit select Choose File, select your image file
from your computer and click Add.
3. Update – To update an image, simply click Choose File again and click Add to
overwrite the previous image.
4. Delete – Click the bin icon to delete an image.
Colours
1. Listed along the left will be all input areas for colour placements.
2. Simply click inside one of the input boxes with a colour code (e.g. #FFFFFF) to
activate the colour selector.
3. Select your colour from the colour selector.
4. Click Update Colour on the colour placement.

Note: Depending on the template selected for a page, the page may or may not be eligible for
cross registration and/or mobile settings.
Cross Reg (depending on template)
1. On the left will be Cross Registration Settings. These panels can be used to build a
cross sell campaign.
2. Add Cross Registration:
a. In any available panel, click Choose File and select an image.
b. Enter any relevant copy to appear with your image.
c. Cross Reg Links:
i. Link: Enter the destination of the cross sell (e.g.
www.myotherdatingsite.com).
ii. Add option tracking parameters to your link:
1. UTM_Source, UTM_Term, UTM_Campaign.
d. To complete, click Update Cross Reg.
3. Any information and image can be overwritten by making your changes and clicking
Update Cross Reg again.
4. Delete Cross Registration:
a. Click the bin icon to remove a cross sell campaign.
Member Feed (depending on template):
1. On the left will be Member Feed Settings. These panels can be used to customise the
generic member feed.
2. Add Member to Member Feed:
a. In any available panel, click Choose File and select an image.
b. Enter any relevant copy to appear under the member image:
i. For example, name and age.
c. To complete, click Update Member.

3. Any details can be overwritten by making your changes and clicking Update Member
again.
4. Delete Member:
a. Click the bin icon to remove a member from the member feed.
Testimonial (depending on template):
1. On the left will be Testimonial Settings. These panels can be used to customise the
generic testimonials.
2. Add Testimonial to Testimonial Feed:
a. In any available panel, click Choose File and select an image.
b. Enter any relevant copy to appear under the testimonial image:
i. For example, details of success story.
c. To complete, click Update Testimonial.
3. Any details can be overwritten by making your changes and clicking Update
Testimonial again.
4. Delete Testimonial:
a. Click the bin icon to remove a testimonial from the testimonial feed.
Mobile Settings/Responsive Page (depending on template)
If the selected page template is responsive you will see an icon (non-clickable) labelled
Responsive Page on your list of pages. If a page template is not responsive you will see a
clickable option labelled Mobile Settings. Click Mobile Settings to update the mobile version
of the non responsive page.
Responsive Page:
On responsive, your mobile images, colours and content will be inherited from the desktop
settings of your page.

Mobile Settings:
On Mobile Settings you will be presented with a combination of features to edit the Colours,
Images and Content.
1. Images:
a. Listed along the left will be all image placements available for the mobile page.
b. Add – On the placement you wish to edit select Choose File, select your image
file from your computer and click Add.
c. Update – To update an image, simply Choose File again and click Add to
overwrite the previous image.
d. Delete – Click the bin icon to delete an image.
2. Content:
a. Along the left will be input boxes for each section of content the mobile page
can hold.
b. For any content placement simply enter your text into the input field.
i. HTML tags and styles are accepted.
c. After any changes, click Update Page Content.
3. Colours:
a. Listed along the left will be all the input areas for colour placements.
b. Simply click inside one of the input boxes with the colour code (e.g. #FFFFFF)
to activate the colour selector.
c. Select your colour from the colour selector.
d. Click Update Colour on the colour placement.
