Steps to Complete
Trial Exercise
The Trial Exercise is meant to prepare employers who are new to the AIS for their first submission
in January.

In this Trial Exercise, you will download and use a trial version of the Offline Application to go
through a simulation of the preparation and submission process. Thereafter, you will have to
submit the Trial Code to complete the Trial Exercise.
Please refer to the “Steps to Complete Trial Exercise” on the left menu to guide you along the
process.

Trial Exercise
A profile stores the information prepared for submission. Employer has to create a
new profile for every submission.

Open existing profiles:
To continue preparing the information from where you left off
previously, you can click <Open Existing File> at the main
menu to open your profile.

Fields that are defaulted to “0” do not accept cents
Enter dollar value for income fields and rounded-up dollar value
for deduction fields. (e.g. enter $25,000 for salary of $25,000.90;
and enter $201 for donation of $200.20).

Records with errors will be highlighted upon save
Upon saving, records with errors will be highlighted in red for
Form View or listed for Grid View. You have to rectify all errors
and click <Save> again to validate the information. If there is no
error detected upon saving, no fields will be highlighted.

Income amounts are not imported. You have to enter
the income amounts that your employees derived for
the year manually.

Drop down fields
Ensure information within your spreadsheet
coincides with one of the selections in the drop down
list before you copy and paste the information.
