Frequently asked questions

The maximum measurable distance is 12m, but it must be from a perfectly reflecting surface. Otherwise, the maximum distance might be reduced.

To calibrate the 4mA output, place the PTU15 at the desired distance, wait for the LED to flash, press P1 and P2 simultaneously, release and verify the LED stays lit. Then press P1 twice and wait for the LED to flash again before moving the sensor. Repeat the process for 20mA using P2 instead of P1.

It can be connected with output cables (L=3m) or an IP68 male connector with a linking cable.
