BEST CLEANING
IN THE INDUSTRY
*
enabled by the PowerWash™ system
New Bravos XL™ washers deliver the best cleaning in the industry* enabled by the
PowerWash™ system by combining optimal dispensers, PowerSpray technology
and the PowerWash™ cycle to help power out tough stains.
2
OPTIMAL DISPENSERS
POWERSPRAY TECHNOLOGY
POWERWASH ™ CYCLE
Activated in every cycle, the optimal
dispensers inject detergent and additives
at the correct time with multiple sets of
concentrated sprays and spinning, all based
on load size, to provide significantly better
cleaning performance.
This technology ensures even detergent
distribution for enhanced cleaning
performance in every cycle. The detergent
solution is sprayed directly onto clothes to
penetrate deep into fabric fibers and pull out
soils and stains without foaming. During the
cycle, our new enhanced IntelliClean™ impeller
also helps ensure thorough penetration of the
entire load. Learn more on the opposite page.
Extra cleaning action and a thorough
rinse power out tough stains like wine,
chocolate and ground-in dirt. In select
models a built-in water heater delivers
increased wash temperatures to ensure
better soil and stain removal.
NOTE: Not all features are available on all models.
*Among leading competitive brand top load washers; comparable cycles and settings.
PowerSpray technology
PENETRATES
TOUGH STAINS
New Bravos XL™ washers feature industry-leading PowerSpray technology to penetrate
difficult-to-remove stains. Detergent is sprayed evenly onto clothes as the basket rotates
to instantly start cleaning soils and stains at the beginning of the cycle.
DETERGENT MIXES
SOLUTION IS SPRAYED
PowerSpray technology is connected
to optimal dispensers to ensure
excellent cleaning benefits every time.
Plus, the wash action of the enhanced
IntelliClean™ impeller helps detergent
penetrate stains throughout the load.
Pressurized spray application (25 PSI
at the inlet) provides significantly better
coverage compared with many competitor
systems. The steady application of detergent
in the initial fill better distributes the soap
and water solution onto the load, resulting
in better and more uniform cleaning.
REPEATED SPRAYING AND
IMPELLER WASH ACTION
The soap and water concentration sprays
onto the load numerous times during
the cycle and combines with spinning
from the enhanced IntelliClean™ impeller
to power away stains. This pressurized
cleaning is all based on the load size to
further enhance the cleaning process.
INDUSTRY’S BEST
COLD WATER CLEANING
*
The Cold Wash cycle powers out tough stains like coffee, grass and ground-in dirt in cold water,
providing the cleaning performance of a warm water wash cycle with the energy savings of
cold water. For optimal performance, use high-efficiency cold water detergent with this cycle.
How It Works
STEP UP TO COLD WASH
CYCLE WITH MODELS
MVWB850Y & MVWB950Y
1. Concentrated detergent is sprayed evenly onto the load in a fan
pattern while the basket slowly spins to provide maximum coverage
2. The basket then spins slightly faster to pull the detergent through the
fabric fibers while using an efficient low water level
3. During the cycle, an active soak phase provides time for enzymes
in the detergent to latch onto and break down stains, increasing the
effectiveness of the enzymes
Model: MVWB850YW
4. Extra cleaning action and higher spin speeds help power out stains
like coffee, grass and ground-in dirt
Model: MVWB950YG

OUR BEST DRYING
Advanced Moisture Sensing
Maytag brand’s best high-efficiency drying is now available in top load! Three active
sensors read incoming air temperature, exhaust air temperature and moisture levels so
the cycle ends when everything is perfectly dry. Loads are protected from overdrying
to reduce the risk of shrinking.
USES NEARLY
40%
LESS ENERGY*
How It Works
1
An inlet thermistor on the heater box
monitors temperature of incoming air
to help calculate moisture levels.
2
Sensing strips help signal when there’s
moisture in the load by recording a
“damp hit” every time a piece of wet
clothing makes contact with the strip.
3
An outlet thermistor measures air
temperature as it exits the dryer to
further determine moisture levels.
When both temperatures of the inlet and
outlet thermistors reach the desired dry
temperature and there are no more damp
hits, the load is dry.
Moisture sensing strips record a
“damp hit” every time a piece of
wet clothing makes contact.
STEAM-ENHANCED DRYER CYCLES
Effectively relax wrinkles and refresh clothes with
steam that penetrates fabric fibers. The Auto Refresh
cycle determines the load size and automatically
steams it. Plus, the Y-connector makes hooking up
steam easier and less messy than filling a reservoir.

PERFORMANCE
Enhanced Airflow Monitor
The new enhanced Airflow Monitor checks for any restrictions of airflow at the
start of every cycle, then provides a convenient visual display of the dryer’s venting
performance to help ensure optimal drying and energy efficiency.
How It Works
1
For a few minutes at the beginning of an
automatic cycle, the Detecting Light comes
on. This detection action is silent and will not
result in additional noises from your dryer.
2
If no major vent blockage is detected,
the light will display above “Good.”
3
If a blocked vent or low airflow issue
is detected, the light will display above
“Check Vent.”
4
Blocked or restricted airflow can result in
poor drying performance and extended cycle
times if caused by excessive lint buildup.
This new feature helps your customers
detect potential issues early and address
them before they become a problem.
For more information on maintaining good airflow,
see the “Check Your Vent System for Good Airflow”
section of the Use & Care guide.

HOW WE ENHANCED THE
INTELLICLEAN ™ IMPELLER
HIGH-PERFORMANCE MOTOR
1. Increased durability with high tensile strength
material results in less wear and tear from
small items like coins, buckles or buttons.
The higher torque motor provides
improved start up performance
at extreme temperatures and
with large heavy loads.
2. Widened fins promote better movement of
clothes to clean your customers' largest loads.
5-RIB BELT
3. New Power Channels on the top of the fins
enhance wash action to help lift and draw
out tough stains and soils from fabric fibers.
This improved impeller design delivers enhanced
cleaning performance and stronger, better
rollover than washers with an agitator.
CORROSION RESISTANT SPRINGS
Provide the strength of steel while also resisting
rust. Plus, they help the suspension run smoothly.
NOTE: Not all features are available on all models.
6
*Visit maytag.com for warranty details.
**Based on time accelerated, 20-year simulated testing, normal cycle and average consumer use.
This belt is at least 4X stronger than
other dryers' 4-rib belts based on
the accelerated belt stand test.
