To switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, while the unit is on press and release both the PERSON/OBJECT button and the MEM Memory button simultaneously until the °F icon on the display switches to the °C icon, or vise versa, at which time the mode has been changed and you may release the buttons.

The ‘Lo’ symbol means that the battery is low and needs to be replaced.

An alcohol swab, or a soft cotton cloth moistened with 70% isopropyl alcohol, should be used to gently cleanse the lens. Do not use water to wash the thermometer. The body of the thermometer can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
