follow this symbol to avoid possible injury

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Recessed Installation
6. Mount the vacuum cleaner as shown in FIG. 2.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Only
the 120V cable supplied may be used with this unit.
Failure to obey this warning could result in death or
serious injury.
FIG. 2
● Mount the vacuum cleaner in a dry place.
● Do NOT mount the vacuum cleaner in an area
that is subject to high temperatures.
● Do NOT bend the connection cable around sharp
edges or corners. Keep the connection cable
away from heated surfaces.
● To install the vacuum cleaner, the wall thickness
MUST be a minimum of .39 in (10 mm) and a
maximum of 1 in (25 mm).
B.
Surface Mounting Installation
1. Utilizing the installation brackets (#9 in the Parts
List on pg. 5), the unit may be mounted to the
floor, wall, or upside down underneath a surface.
2. Place the vacuum on its back.
3. Attach a bracket to the left side first and slide it
down so that the bottom of the bracket is below
the vacuum frame.
4. Tighten the 2 screws on the left side. Do not
overtighten. Repeat the same for the bracket
on the right side. Use 4 screws with washers to
mount the vacuum/bracket assembly.
● Ensure there is an outlet nearby that can be used
to supply the vacuum cleaner with power. Do NOT
use extension cords.
● If the vacuum cleaner is being installed in small
spaces with poor ventilation (e.g., cabinet), then
an air outlet and an air outlet grille with a crosssection of 2.75 in (70 mm) MUST be installed
in order to transport warm air generated by the
device outside to prevent overheating.
1. Ensure that the dust bag and the motor filter are
in place.
2. Ensure the vacuum cleaner works prior to installation.
3. Tape the paper template (pg. 12) against the
surface at a comfortable operating height.
4. With a jigsaw, cut along the dotted line of the
paper template (see FIG. 1).
Ensure there is an electrical outlet within
5 ft. of the location before installing.

Changing the Dust Bag
It is important for vacuum cleaner suction

Replacing and Cleaning the Motor Filter
Replace or clean the motor filter after you
have changed the dust bag five times or if

filter by hand in mild soapy water. Do NOT
wash it in a washing machine or with hard
objects. Let it dry completely before fitting it
in the vacuum cleaner in the direction of the
arrows.
1. Remove the motor filter and insert a new one or
reinsert the cleaned motor filter (See FIG. 8 and
FIG. 9).

Cleaning and Maintenance of the Unit
Do not use sharp or hard objects or cleaning
agents for cleaning as these may damage the product.
1. Clean the unit with a damp cloth as needed.
9
TROUBLESHOOTING
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a
thermal overload protection which prevents the motor from overheating.
If the motor stops, switch the device off
by setting the switch to the "O" position or
disconnecting the suction hose from the
external hose socket. Let the device cool
down for approximately an hour.
If this fault still occurs following the troubleshooting measures described below,
then please contact the manufacturer or
your dealer.
A.
General Troubleshooting
If the motor stops, switch off the vacuum cleaner
and proceed as follows:
1. Check whether the suction hose is blocked.
Check by holding the hose up in one hand and
dropping a quarter into the hose. If the quarter doesn’t come out the other end, then it is
clogged. (See "B. Cleaning of the stretch hose”.)
2. Check the dust bag. If a large amount of dirt
which is not household dust (plasterboard dust,
fine sawdust etc.), is vacuumed up, the pores in
the dust bag can get blocked. Insert a new bag
if needed.
3. Clean the suction hose if it is heavily soiled. (See
"B. Cleaning of the stretch hose".)
4. Check whether the floor nozzle is blocked. If so,
clean the nozzle.
5. Check the motor filter. If needed, clean or replace the filter.
B.
Cleaning of the Stretch Hose
1. Lift the hose up on both ends and place liquid
dish washing detergent into both ends.
2. While holding the vacuum cleaner stretch hose
ends in the up position, use a garden hose to fill
it with water.
3. Lift ends of vacuum cleaner stretch hose up and
down loosening the dirt.
4. Stretch the hose as far as possible (two people
required), and rinse the dirt out with the garden
hose.
5. Repeat process until hose is clean.
6. Allow vacuum cleaner hose to dry completely
before use, up to 24 hours.
