MGL Avionics TC-4 Installation Manual

MGL Avionics TC-4 is a 4 channel thermocouple (EGT/CHT) indicator designed for aircraft. The TC-4 features a bright, sunlight-readable color display with multiple configuration options. You can display temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit with selectable high alarm settings and individual probe type selection. The TC-4 also includes a trend graph, maximum values display, and engine leaning and cruise mode functions.

Frequently asked questions

The TC-4 supports J, K, and E-type thermocouple probes, with K-type most common for EGT and J-type for CHT. All probes supplied by MGL Avionics are K-type.

Select 'RDAC' as the data source in the 'TC Setup' menu, then specify the CAN address and thermocouple group you want to measure from the RDAC.

The alarm output is an open collector transistor switch to ground with a maximum rating of 0.25A DC. It can be used to switch an external alarm indicator.
