Frequently asked questions

The 'EMG' position bypasses the audio amplifier and connects Com 1 directly to the pilot's microphone and headphones. This provides a fail-safe method of communication in case the unit fails.

Use the Monitor function to listen to ATC on Com 1 and monitor ATIS information from Com 2. Press the 'MONI' button to activate the feature.

The 'TEL' position connects the pilot's microphone and headphones to an approved telephone system, such as AirCell. This allows for telephone communication while still allowing for aircraft communications.

Momentarily press and release the left inner knob when no one is speaking into the microphones. This will set the proper VOX sensitivity.

The intercom has three modes: 'ALL', 'CREW', and 'PILOT'. In 'ALL' mode, everyone hears the radios. In 'CREW' mode, the pilot and copilot hear the radios while the passengers have a separate intercom. In 'PILOT' mode, the pilot hears the radios but is isolated from the intercom.

The Marker Beacon Receiver provides visual and aural signals when passing over a 75 MHz beacon. Select the 'MKR' button to activate the audio. Use the toggle switch to select the sensitivity level and test the marker lamps.
