Customer Information: The information in this installation instruction is intended for use only by skilled technicians who have the proper tools, equipment, and training to correctly and safely add equipment to your vehicle. These procedures should not be attempted by “do-it-yourselfers.” 1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the audio and navigation system (if equipped). 2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Attach tape to the front bumper as shown. 8 RETAINING TABS FLAT-TIP SCREWDRIVER 2 SELF-TAPPING SCREWS 3 RETAINING TABS TAPE Removing Parts (Vehicle Exterior) 3. Remove the front bulkhead cover (seven clips). 7 CLIPS FRONT BULKHEAD COVER 3 RETAINING TABS 10 CLIPS FRONT BUMPER TAPE 021503AX 5. Remove two self-tapping screws and ten clips. 6. Remove the front bumper (fourteen retaining tabs). NOTE: Have an assistant help you when removing the front bumper. Place the front bumper on a blanket after removal. On the passenger’s side of the vehicle, locate the 1-pin connecter blue taped to the vehicle harness. Remove the tape to release the connector. Plug the fog light harness 1-pin connector into the vehicle harness 1-pin connector. Secure one wire tie with clip to the fog light harness at the green tape. Secure the wire tie with clip to the hole in the vehicle frame. Secure the fog light harness to the vehicle harness with a wire tie at the green tape. VEHICLE HARNESS 2 WIRE TIES GREEN TAPE 12. On the driver’s side of the vehicle, locate the vehicle harness 1-pin connector. Plug the fog light harness 1-pin connector to the vehicle harness 1-pin connector. Secure one wire tie with clip to the fog light harness at the green tape. Secure the wire tie with clip to the hole in the vehicle frame. FOG LIGHT HARNESS 772002AB WIRE TIE WITH CLIP GREEN TAPE 11. Secure the fog light harness ground terminal to the vehicle frame with the supplied ground bolt. FOG LIGHT HARNESS RIGHT HEADLIGHT LEFT HEADLIGHT VEHICLE HARNESS VEHICLE GROUND BOLT Do not use. Near the 1-pin connector, secure the fog light harness to the vehicle harness with one wire tie at the green tape. GREEN TAPE WIRE TIE Installing the Fog Lights 17. Locate and remove the vehicle ground bolt. Secure the fog light harness ground terminal and vehicle ground terminal to the vehicle frame with the vehicle ground bolt just removed. 18. Plug the fog light cord 2-pin connector into the left fog light. Secure the fog light cord 2-pin connector to the bracket. FOG LIGHT HARNESS GROUND TERMINAL 732007BY VEHICLE GROUND TERMINAL 16. NOTE: Have an assistant help you when installing the front bumper. 21. Install one clip to the front bumper. FRONT BUMPER LEFT FOG LIGHT FRONT BUMPER CLIP LEFT FOG LIGHT 3 SELF-TAPPING SCREWS Reuse. SELF-TAPPING SCREW 021601AX 22. Install the left fog light to the front bumper with one self-tapping screw and three self-tapping screws removed in step 20. 23. Lower the tilt lever and pull the steering wheel out. 28. Remove the lower steering column cover (three screws). The upper screws are self-tapping screws. 2 RETAINING TABS Push. Turn the steering wheel 90° counterclockwise, and unplug the vehicle connector from the lighting switch. TILT LEVER RETAINING TAB COLUMN GUIDE FLAT-TIP SCREWDRIVER 7111090Y VEHICLE CONNECTOR HOLDER VEHICLE CONNECTOR 6608050T 27. Remove the upper steering column cover: • • Insert a flat-tip screwdriver along the column guide inside the lower cover, and gently pry out on the retaining tab on the upper column cover. LIGHTING SWITCH Push the lower cover to release two retaining tabs, and pull up on the upper cover to release two hooks. Remove two self-tapping screws from the lighting switch. While pushing the retaining tab, slide the lighting switch out of the bracket, and remove it from the steering column. Do not pull on the lever when removing the switch. Do not damage the tab hole in the steering column. 32. Plug the vehicle connector into the new lighting switch. Install the new lighting switch into the steering column. Install the two self-tapping screws. Do not push on the lever when installing the case. Push the case into the bracket and set the retaining tab into the tab hole. 33. Check that all wire harnesses are routed properly and all connectors are plugged in. 34. Reinstall all removed parts. 35. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery. 36. Enter the anti-theft codes for the customer’s audio and navigation system if equipped, and reset the radio station presets. 37. Reset the clock. Adjust the fog lights: • Turn the headlight switch to the “ (headlights on low beam). ” position • Turn the fog light switch on (indicator is on). • If the fog lights do not turn on, check the fuse and all the connectors, including the ground cable. • Adjust the aim according to local laws and regulations. • To adjust, turn the aiming adjustment knob in or out until the correct aim is obtained. AII 46516 (1108) 9 of 10 www.collegehillshonda.com BULB REPLACEMENT 1. 3. Turn the steering wheel counterclockwise. Remove two clips, and pull down the inner fender. INNER FENDER Install the new bulb and socket into the fog light. • Use only a genuine Honda halogen light bulb of specified wattage. Rating: 12V 55W H11 Halogen Light Bulb P/N33165-S5A-003 • Do not touch the bulb. Oily or greasy substances on the bulb can shorten its service life due to the heat produced when the bulb is turned on. If the bulb is accidentally touched, wipe it clean with a soft cloth that has been dampened with a denatured alcohol or a mild detergent solution. • When installing the new bulb, align the cutout on the fog light with the tab on the new bulb and turn the new bulb clockwise until it locks. If not properly aligned, the fog light may affect the oncoming driver’s view. Turn. 2-PIN CONNECTOR NEW BULB CLIP 730111AE 2. Insert your hand inside of the inner fender pulled down in step 1. Unplug the connector from the fog light, and remove the bulb by turning it counterclockwise. FOG LIGHT NEW BULB 021605AX 4. Reinstall the removed parts. Check that the wire harnesses are not pinched.
