Compatibility and Recommended Setup
The ServSwitch™ KVM Extender is compatible with many graphics cards, operating systems, and monitors or TVs that support
High Definition (HD) 1080p, 1920 x 1200, and 4K resolution. However, there is no guarantee that all USB devices are compatible
with this product, because there are many different factors that may impact operation.
This KVM Extender complies with USB 1.1 and 2.0 specifications governing the design of USB devices. It supports USB 1.1 and
low bandwidth USB 2.0 devices. Examples of these devices include: keyboards, mice, flash drives, microphones, printers, and USB
1.1 Web cameras. Contact Black Box Technical Support at 724-746-5500 or info@blackbox.com to determine if your USB 2.0
device(s) can be supported.
HDMI Cables
Use high-quality, undamaged HDMI cables with the extender. Low-quality or damaged cables may impact product performance
and/or damage the units.
Link Cable
While solid-core CAT5e UTP is compatible with this KVM extender, solid-core CAT6 cable with CAT6 shielded RJ-45 connectors is
recommended for best performance and extension distance. See Table 1, below.
